Use it in the shed, sturdy and great capacity with it. Could be better if more joints part to let user more flexiable to set it up in the situation like shed that you do not have too much head room.

    Fantastic product, customer service amazing
We ordered multiple packs of this product. All racks have been built up in our home office today and they look amazing. Went together really easily and are so sturdy, we are very impressed.
We were going to head to our local big store but we are so pleased we didn’t. We also contacted seller about delivery issue (out of their control) and they were amazing, arranging new delivery, contacting with details, updating with timeslot etc. Absolutely brilliant and we would definitely purchase again.

    Does what it says
Spot on – easy to assemble, strong enough to hold a load of tools, paint cans etc and keeps my garage from looking like a complete junkyard. Pleasantly surprised given the price of this unit compared to other similar units.

Well designed product that pleasantly surprises with the solidity once assembled. Shelves look too thin but adequate with central support. Overall for the money a good buy and recommended for anything other than stacking gold bars.

Good kit at the right price
If you can get these when they are on offer then it’s a good deal. I have not got others to compare with, but go together well and quick. Sturdy enough when together. I know I should bolt them to the wall but haven’t bothered yet. Loses a star for poor packaging. Nothing was damaged despite, but cardboard had ripped and some connectors which are loose in the box must have slipped out. Quickly replaced by CS but I can see some potential damage to parts with the lack of protection.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant for the Garage
Okay, so I’m one of those crazy people who actually wants to put his car in the garage. I know, insane right? Which meant organising my tools and other stuff and keeping them tidy.
These shelves are ideal for such a situation as they’re on 300mm deep so they don’t project into the garage width massively. They actually sit behind the line of the masonry nib to my garage door so if the car can fit through the door it misses the shelving.
They’re also really simple to put together. I used a hammer to GENTLY tap a few sections together more securely but other than that no tools required.
Once up they seem solid and I’ve loaded mine up with tool chests, boxes of screws, paint, tile adhesive, the lot. Obviously stack your shelves sensibly – heavy stuff on the bottom, lighter stuff on top – and they’re perfectly stable. I don’t feel the need to secure these to the wall but if you aren’t sure it’s probably worth strapping them back.
The option of having them in a workbench arrangement is also a positive as it means I know have somewhere to work on DIY tasks that isn’t on the floor.
I would definitely recommend these and I was so impressed I ordered a second pack.

Quick, strong and holds a lot of stuff - plus they look great.
We’ve bought quite a few of these now.

    Instructions are clear.
Have a rubber mallet (or similar) to hand to make sure the fittings are secure.
Much lighter and cheaper than a wooden shelving unit.
Can re-configure the shelves quickly without totally dismantling the units.
They look cool when you have a few of them next to each other.
Comes with connectors so that you can lock the units together.
Holds books extremely well with no warping of the shelves over time.
Two pack comes in a single box.
    Enjoy.

I bought the product for my garage for storage of tins and dry packaged food. Initially disappointed with the shelf material…..mdf sheets….should have read the spec. However not deterred I bought some mdf treatment, treated the shelves, assembled the product and loaded it with produce.

My garage like many others with electrical white goods can suffer with condensation so this would be a test for the shelves. A desk fan sorted the condensation on the cold nights but more importantly the shelves survived the winter. No mould on the shelves only a slight warping but nothing drastic.

Once assembled the product is pretty sturdy and I suspect will last for many years. The mdf shelves are still on probation though. It is what it is for the money and serves its purpose.

For all my doubts I bought a second set of shelves! However don’t make the schoolboy error I did, the second set was exactly the same except 10 cms less wider, again quickly read the spec and thought it was the same, couldn’t be bothered sending them back and they now stand together serving their functional purpose.

I have already recommended to family members.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWear gloves, and don't forget to look where the holes are for fixing to the wall
Easier to put together than using nuts and bolts. You get 8 plastic feet, but be gentle because they are brittle. A mallet will shatter them. I got to fit the 4th and thought I had the knack but smashed it. Not too worry there are 8.

The legs are not adjustable so any uneven surface needs to leveled / packed.

I did not look until I finished but the holes for attaching to the walls are not on both ends of the verticals so take care and ensure they are where you want them. Saying that I just used a metal drill bit and created my own on one post.

Much heavier than expected and feels more robust than my previous shelving unit which had been around for 25 years. I suspect this one will last just as long. My only doubt would be the wood shelves so we shall see if they warp over time, but you could put your own shelves in.

You can easily assemble without any screws or bolt, but sturdy enough to support needs time to tell, heavier items seems on the bottom make it a strong rapport. The outer packaging needs improvement since the pack of rubber sheet protection gets lost.

They are easy to put together, sturdy enough when items are on them but 30cm depth is far too small, go for the deeper ones. I have the deeper ones too and they are much better.
Also, if they are going in to a garden shed with possibility that it could be a little damp, the fibre board shelves will not hold up very well, no issues in a garage though

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat when assembled.
Bought for garage storage. I took a tip and varnished the shelves prior to assembly as the garage can get cold and damp during winter. The principle of sliding/tapping all the components together is easy and straightforward. Practically speaking however on at least a dozen occasions during assembly the tongue part which fits through two slots missed the second slot and went the wrong side. This meant tapping the item back out and using a combination of techniques (twisting the shelf while fitting, hammering and holding the tongue in place above the second slot with a screwdriver) in order to get all tongues and all grooves/slots fitting together properly. So it took a few hours and some patience by myself. However now both shelving units are assembled they are great, they slotted together nicely as well.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGood Shelves, Poor Choice Of Delivery Service, Bit Fiddly To Get Righ
Firstly the product is good for the price point, it is a bit fiddly to get the metal slots lined up right so that they don’t go the wrong way and bend. They feel a lot more sturdy when built than it seemed they would. The instructions make them look like they should be taller than they are (either that or they used a very small man in the pictures!). Biggest gripe was the chosen delivery company, they give you a 14 hour window, no update to narrow it down, they have no customer service number and their text chat is only open during working hours, and they only deliver monday to friday, and they don’t have an option for a safe space, this made the whole process a pain, it was only due to my partner finishing early and catching the driver as he was driving away after a second failed delivery (they were informed that this would be the case). I contacted the seller originally to cancel the order as I would never be able to receive it as it wasn’t worth taking a day off work and they had said that it isn’t their policy to request a signature, so the issue falls squarely with the delivery company, one that you cant get hold meaning that you would have to stay in all day. Good product, need a better delivery company

Good and strong product . So far so good kept excess product and Kids’s room one looks good .

Only thing is : When the product was delivered , it was torn off completely and I was worried . The number available on Amazon for the company is wrong . Also , you will not find any support at all . Incase anything is missing , there is no one to contact even via there web address .

    So , in a nutshell:
    1) No one to contact on the other end and business is sold to someone .
    2) Good product but if any parts are missing you will be stuck .

    Great racking - trusted company
As an average DIYer, I bought this 2-pack racking unit for my new garden workshop. The unit arrived promptly and well packed.
I found the assembly very straightforward and the whole unit went together like a dream. The quality of the unit and the very smart paintwork was the best I’ve seen. I attach a photo taken during installation.
I had a small issue with one of the components (Not the fault of G-Rack) and found the company’s customer service was top notch. I was sent a replacement component immediately by courier and the racking unit finished.
I am delighted with the finished system; it is strong, it looks great and I have no hesitation in recommending it – from this professional and trustworthy company.

So overall these look lovely. Lightweight enough to move around on your own once built. I’ve not tried anything very heavy on them to know what they’re like sturdy wise but I made my own little pantry and have plastic boxes of kitchen stuff on there and seems to be holding well so far. My only issue was the building, the way they fit together can be really difficult even if you know what you’re doing but I still managed to do it on my own and like I say, once built they look lovely and hold well

Looks great, loads of usable space & really good value – considering buying another to make a pair.

I very highly recommend this produc

I’ve now ordered two of these. One for garage storage and one for inside storage. They’re sturdy enough for every day use, but definitely not for anything too heavy and we’re super easy to put together. I have fixed this to the wall as I noticed that the top tilted slightly (each long bracket is attached at the mid-point) but again, it’s not a problem – especially given how affordable these are.

I ordered the first a week ago and it was perfect, ordered a second and the package came a damaged. The integrity of the frame and boards is fine for use in the garage, as you won’t really see it, but could definitely be packaged a lot better (with some extra padding between the product and the cardboard box.) I’ve included images, but as I say, the second one was absolutely perfect.

    Take care with assembly
The end result of assembly is excellent storage shelving in a dry workshop. The shelves are well strong enough to support stack of full tins of paint, stacks of boxes of heavy metal fittings, and heavy tools, without the need for stronger shelf boards, with space under for large items. Well pleased with the result.
Assembly was a different matter. Granted I am disabled and one-handed, it took 2 days of careful work to get the shelves to slot properly into the uprights, as the tabs have a continual tendency to bend out when tapped through the first slot; they all needed tapping back straight to get them secure in the second slot before the shelf could be fully knocked in. Without that the units would have ended up insecure.
If you want quick and easy look elsewhere, if you’re happy to spend time fiddling, these are good value.

    Sturdy item, easy to assemble
Generally happy with the product. A couple of the parts were bent out of shape, though were easily fixed with a few taps from a hammer and didn’t prevent me assembling them. I assembled on my own without any
problem- probably took me no more than 20 minutes for each unit
Shelves, at 30cm deep, were a bit narrow and in hindsight I would have opted for a wider type for increased storage space.
I attached the tops of these to the wall with screws and the whole units is then rock solid.
The shelf surface material is fine for the relatively dry outbuilding I was placing it in but I have had issues in my previous house putting these in damp shed as they tend to warp over time and mould grows very easily on it.

    Poor packaging,Sound shelving
Package arrived open at one end and in quite a poor condition. I was assured by the delivery driver that all the parts were there(not quite sure how he knew). Luckily everything was there although quite a few parts were deformed and scratched. After a bit of jiggling and working out I managed the assembly in such a way that the worst marked parts were hidden. The parts are quite thin pressed steel so are easily reformed back to the correct shape.
Once assembled the shelving is solid and strong and handles heavyweight items without a problem.
I assembled one of the units to its full height and the other into 2 separate half size units. The 2 half units are sturdy and strong however the full height unit really needs to be attached to a wall at about height for safety.
The supplier has a handy UK contact number for customer back up if required but they really need to improve the packaging of the product considering it shipped from Italy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNice Storage Rack
I was in mixed mind before purchasing this once as it had mix reviews and many people complained about missing parts but I took the risk as it was on Prime and return was easy if I encounter same issue. I didn’t had any missing or damaged parts and delivery was quick as well. Make sure you have rubber mallet to avoid any damages while assembling. In the earlier reviews I saw few people complaining about moisture damage to the MDF boards and I didn’t link the raw MDF board colour so fix both the issues I painted the MDF boards with the same colour (Black in my case) to give it a different look and I was very happy that it looks awesome after painting in the same colour as Racks. See pictures.

If you are looing for a Rack Storage, I would recommend this one.

    Sturdy and we'll priced
Bought these for storage in a workshop I had built. Wanted racking that wasn’t too deep as was limited for space, these were the perfect dimensions. There were no instructions for building them but I found it was quite obvious how they should go together. The only tool I needed was a rubber mallet to persuade the parts together as they interlock. I have assembled them as two full towers and two half towers and linked them all together along one wall with the clips provided. There are also fixing holes on the uprights which were perfect to fix them back to the wall. Due to the 30cm depth im glad of this option for piece of mind. As when fully loaded didn’t want any risk of them being pulled over. The racking has been up for a few weeks now and the shelves fully loaded with tools, paints, timbre plus much more and they’re solid. Really happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend these as a decent storage option for a garage, workshop or shed.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSturdy and great value.
Firstly this arrives in a much smaller pack than I was expecting but its heavy so if you are not strong you may need help carrying it in. Once opened you will see over 100 parts to make the 2 units. The instructions are ok but read them first as its easy to go wrong. Make sure you understand what goes where. Some pieces may be bent but are easy to straighten out. Use a mallet to bang the pieces together as you cant just use hand pressure alone. The instructions suggest 2 people to make each one but it’s easy to do on your own. Once you have the 8 top and bottom struts in place you have a box to work on placing the inside shelf supports. Get these right as changing them later wont be easy. Like a fool I thought the shelf panels fitted inside the struts and not just lay on top! Once I figured that out it was easy to install them. Remember to fit the central braces as these tie the middles together to support the wooden shelves. Some have commented these shelves are weak. Rubbish! If you put it together right and use the centre braces you will have an extremely rigid and strong shelf unit. My only other advice would be to leave the rubber caps off the tops of the uprights if you intend to have the top shelf at the very top as the caps can prevent you fitting the shelf panel. Once you have figured out the little quirks it’s an excellent unit for the price.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLike a shower hair trap. Annoying as hell, but damn does it work.
Easy to assemble – in the same way that stitching is “easy”. Simple enough but frustrating the entire time.

All the pieces slot in, but every single one of them screech, kick and fight you the entire way. The instructions say you should use a mallet IF needed. What they don’t mention is that you’ll need a new mallet by the end of it.

Assembly was like a horrible game of wack-a-mole, except in this game, the mole sometimes bends out of shape and you have to pull it out, bend it back to its original moleness and hammer again.

Once it’s all assembled, you need to hammer out all the dents you needed to make in order to assemble the damn thing. Extra points if you use a black Sharpie to cover the black paint that inevitably gets stripped away.

In hindsight, I should’ve just used a gallon of WD-40 instead of following the instructions.

I’ll try that with the second shelf and report back – when I get over the trauma of the metal rubbing on metal sound.

    Rant over.

    The shelves are nice.

Not only functional, they LOOK good
I am absolutely delighted with these shelf units. So much so, that after assembling the first pair, I immediately placed a repeat order for another pair. I needed to tidy and sort out my garage/workshop and these really ‘filled the bill’. The tongue and slot method of boltless assembly can be a little bit tricky until you get used to it, but with a little practice I only had a few failures to get the tongue into the slot correctly, first time. Such failures were quick and easy to rectify, but MUST be done. A very good feature is that the shelves have a mid-span support ‘beam’ so are very unlikely to buckle. One other point. A good quality rubber mallet is absolutely essential for the assembly. The Draper one, which the Amazon computer recommended when I place my first order, was ideal and well worth the additional cost.

    Decent, cheap storage
Very easy to assemble. I normally wouldn’t comment on the packaging / delivery in an item review but it seems important to call out how poorly the item was packaged. So much so that there were two of the upright connectors missing (one unit is essentially two smaller units stacked so you need these connectors). Fortunately I was assembling these as one tall and two lower units so I didn’t need the two connectors and Amazon did refund partially. Packaging aside, now that they’re built they’re quite good. The plywood boards are OK. The test of time is the real test but so far so good

The good and the not so good
The good news is that unlike an earlier red rack(s) that I purchased, (probably another supplier, and no longer available) which had rust under the paint, this rack is painted properly. With mild steel it’s imperative that the coating is applied immediately, because after just an hour or so, oxidisation makes it unusable for reliable lasting products.

The bad news is that this rack has thinner steel. This means getting the tabs through both slots, without deforming the the cross members is very difficult. Be prepared to reform and reshape using appropriate tools. Opening up the slots that will be used with a screwdriver , then closing them up when done helps, but is still challenging. You’ll also need a wood chisel to bend over the tabs on the shelving support member, before being able to mallet them over.

Once it is fully assembled, with the feet on, the result is quite firm and stable. But this is really a job for a savvy DIYer, who will have the extra tools, and some dexterous persuasion.

    shelving for my shed
I bought this pair of shelving units for my shed as my shed was unorganised chaos. Now I can grab what I want when I want it without gingerly stepping over items & digging for it. I bought a shelving unit similar to this last year for my craft bits inside the house, the shelving units were deeper than these ones & I was a little disappointed that these weren’t as deep but once they were set up & put in the shed, they were adequate. I also moved my indoor craft shelving to the shed as there was plenty of room, my shed is now more organised than my home!

    Just what I needed
These were easy to put together. Takes 20 to 30 minutes per rack. These racks stand well and are well suited to my domestic purposes for them in the living room and back room.

To put these together you will need a rubber mallet or else use a lump hammer wrapped in a towel, which is what I used. You will also need a flat head screwdriver with a thin end. This advice will make more sense when you begin putting the racks together: When you insert the prongs of the cross bars into the slots on the upright bars you will notice some prongs miss the bottom hole of the slot they weave into; use a flat head screwdriver (or similar tool) to guide such prongs into place.

The box the racking came in lists a website through which extra shelves and parts can be purchased.

I would definitely buy these again if I needed more racking.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGood value garage storage
These were selected as they were available next day through Prime and I wanted shelving ASAP – skip on the drive and a garage in desperate need of a clear out. I put them together with my 13 year old grandson who loved chipping in and they proved relatively easy to assemble. They go together without nuts and bolts, instead using metal tongues and slots to join the pieces. These can be a bit fiddly to get right, and quite honestly I’d have preferred nuts and bolts but it does go together in the end if a bit of care is taken.
The end result is a neat set of shelves which represent reasonable value for money. I may we’ll replace the MDF shelves with some decent ply of twice the thickness to make them sturdier, but I’ll see how the originals cope with weight first.

Much sturdier than it looks. We are using it as a bookcase in my shared flat and all the shelves are fully laden including some with the big heavy A4+ sized hardbook types. You can put the shelves at any position you want but note for stability there is a recommended maximum height from the ground that the bottom shelf should be or it affects stability as said in the instructions. In terms of assembly, once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy and you don’t need any strength – but you DO need a hammer or something to tap (don’t really need much force just tapping) the metal bits in place (the tabs are a tight fit). A rubber mallet would have been much better but we didn’t have one so I improvised by wrapping a tea towel around it but needless to say my head was still ringing from the noise of banging metal after a while so something to bear in mind there. I found the instructions clear to follow. I found it essential to have a flat-head screwdriver to hand to slightly loosen some of the holes for the tabs to go into. And you need to carefully watch as you tap them into place to make sure the tab doesn’t go the wrong side of the hole. If it does though its easy enough to tap it out again, then use the screwdriver to bend the hole a bit more, then tap the part back in. Also on a side note some of the MDF shelves were a bit bent when I first put them on but over time and with the weight of the shelf contents they have straightened out. Anyway all in all very please, very good cheaper, no screws alternative to expensive bookcases and doesn’t look too out of place or garage-y in our living room. Though I do plan on getting a couple more for the garage!
