I chose this item to resolve the problem of our grandson occassionaly dropping his tablet from his child seat in the back of the car and then “distracting” the driver until it was safely returned to him.
This device has 100% resolved that problem.
Very easy to assemble and so far we have tried it in 3 diffrent cars (BMW X1, Peugeot 2008 and Peugeot 208). The range of adjustment means that it fits all these cars perfectly.
We have also tried a range of electrionic tablet devices from 7″ to 10″ and all mounted securely .
Range of adjustment and viewing angle all good. Recommended *****
(I cant really improve on the images provided by the seller which show all aspects of the item)

This device comes as a straightforwards to piece assembly exercise, simply slotting one piece into the other by loosening and tightening the ball and socket joint. It’s worth mentioning it comes without instruction so although it sort of appears as common sense- assumptions can leave you doubting! Likewise to clip onto the car seat, it’s a fairly simple push and click exercise. It holds ipads and bigger phones fine – I did find it didn’t hold my older iPhone 7 mind as it was too small so not a 1 solution fits all. The thing I do like most about it is the flip out side bits to keep a thin profile when not in use which is very neat. Other than that it is solid, allows you to rotate easily and does exactly what it sets out to do, hold your devices in a newr way for the kids in the back without the risk of them dropping them (or giving them ability to share with the child in the middle)! Its reasonably priced and a must for anyone with kids in my opinion! My only deductions were around sizing and instructions otherwise would be a 5*.

** This review has been collected as part of the Amazon Vine program however all views are my own **

I purchased one of these to be used in the car for the little ones when travelling. The device holds the tablet in place and is sturdy enough. I haven’t done any off-roading to really test the stability but pottering around town it has worked with no issues. Due to its ease of install, I can move it from car to car depending on who’s driving. Would certainly recommend.

These are an absolue must if you have young children in the back of the car that like to watch their programs or films on a mobile or tablet. You just pop it in between the two spokes at the back of your front head rest and you are good to go. Holds mobiles or tablets – horizontal or vertical.

The extension bit can be a bit loose on mine so doesn’t always keep the device stable but I don’t bother extending it out as it’s not necessary – it really needed some way of locking the extension securely in place. However, the whole point for me is to keep the device out of the little ones hands as they are always turning it off or dropping it so i don’t need to extend it out. This is simply an excellent invention designed to make parents (and grandparents) life easier.

    Giftorld Car Backseat Headrest Mount/Holder

The mount comes in two parts which easily fit together. The assembled mount fits onto the two car seat backrest supports. It is adjustable, so should fit any backrest, whatever the gap.

The phone or tablet easily fits into the spring-loaded ‘jaws’ which securely hold the device in place, whatever the size. The mount allows the device to be rotated to whatever position you want.

I bought this for a tablet but it also fits a Samsung S22 Ultra as they’re so big! As a result, I can now get rid of the one I have for a phone so I don’t need two in the car.
It fits really easily into a 2011 Range Rover rear headrest and because it’s over spec’d for a phone, it handles the weight no problem
It has nice cut outs on the arms so you can fit a charge cable through no problem. You can scissor this out closer to your child, and tilt in any direction due to the ball mount.
My only gripe is that, I’ve tightened the ring on the ball all the way up to stop any vibration. As a result, I now can’t undo it at all. I’m not sure that I need to as it it’s now at it’s maximum resistance and I can still tilt it, but if I do need to I may have to get some pliers on it!
I think it’s priced well at 13.99 and would recommend it.

Easy to install and holds the tablet well, does feel like it could be easily broken if accidentally knocked but so far so good, it has done the the job well and kept the kids entertained

This comes in two parts that are just clicked together through the ball socket joint. It feels like a strong metal-based construction and is firm in its movements. It really cannot be simpler to install, you just squeeze in the sturdy hooks and then release them to hook around the bars of the headrest. Then you just slide open the front arms to put the device in. That’s it! It seems to cover a wide range of device/screen sizes and you can loosen the ball socket joint to rotate or angle the device and then just tighten it again to hold it very securely in place. We have a 7 seater car and so another benefit is that it can be used in all the seats behind headrests.

Another huge benefit as parents is to move our children from slumping over a screen on their laps to sitting upright and looking forward to improving their posture – they might even see the outside world now and again. The mount compacts small when not in use, so it is kept with the device in the house when not needed for long car journeys. It does not at all interfere with the person in front as the hooks keep tight to the bars. An all-round great design and robust product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very quick to install, strong, secure and encourages better posture.

This was exactly what I was after for long car journeys where my daughter wanted to watch something on the tablet but would often fall asleep, ultimately dropping the tablet.

The mount to the headrest was very secure and fortunately I had the perfect gap to fit this mount. If your normal driving position doesn’t have a 5-6cm gap between the chair and headrest for this to grip onto then it’s going to be no use. I don’t think many would want to drive uncomfortably for the sake of accommodating the tablet (then again if it keeps a fussy toddler settled then its possibly worth it!?)

My initial worry was that the spring-loaded extendable grip for the tablet would not support the bulky case we have on the tablet but fortunately it held it no problem. Albeit it can be a bit trick to get the tablet in.

The mount can easily be moved and adjusted to pretty much any angle so it’s easy enough to share the screen with a sibling in the other seat.

I did notice that there was a bit of screen wobble when driving but ultimately it wasn’t enough for my daughter to complain about so that’s probably another positive!

Overall, happy to recommend this one with the caveat that it needs some space to fit.
