I was a bit sceptical about this, couldn’t of been more wrong, it gives off very good heat even on the lowest setting, doesn’t feel too bulky and the battery on the low setting lasts me all day at work, worth paying a little extra for quality
The gillet is really warm, even on medium setting. The battery did not hold its charge, but the supplier replaced it without question, so I can definitely recommend buying from this supplier. The Gillet is also good quality and should last.
This waistcoat is reasonable quality material compared with other chinese cheapo waistcoats and provided with a heavy power bank. I haven’t tried a full test of heating but capacity stated if correct is very good for many hours. There are two zipper pockets right and left side of waistcoat. Only negative is the waistcoat plug which is not type c usb so you would have to get a plug adapter if you wanted to use other power banks than this 7.4 volt unit. Amazon sells the pin to USB connector X0010BPHVT for 6.99 this means you can use any power bank which fits in gilet though you might find you have to run it on red button if 5 volts and not 7.4 as is gilet power bank provided.
Be warned! Many power packs claim to be suitable for heated clothing, however as this gilet has an unusual power lead I’ve not been able to source an extra/spare battery.
Nicely put together product (the fleece version), but there are a few things worth mentioning. First, the pros: The fleece is nice and soft, and dissipates the heat perfectly, the heating pads are spaced well, and allow for warm hands when you use the outside pockets. The fabric is slightly elastic, so you are not going to be busting the stitching any time soon, and if you look at the instructions printed on the battery pocket, insert the battery as shown (horizontally), it tucks out of the way of the lower elements. Being a fleece, the material is silent by nature, no more “rustling” every time you turn your head. The battery pack actually seems decent as well, overall, first impressions are good. Cons: just one. Standing up, the bottom hem will meet your belt line. Not cover it, just meet it. Sit down, and you have a significant gap – a couple of inches in length would make all the difference. Overall, very happy, and a notch above the competition, even if it does have a left handed zip. (PS, most of the detracting reviews are for a different product, so unless it says “fleece”, ignore them).
Lightweight and is lovely and warm. I already had one, which was a gift at Christmas. I was so impressed that l bought this second one and will keep it for travelling.
The only thing l would mention is that the heating panels are nowhere near as large as depicted in the photos. They are approximately 4in x 4in, but this is fine as they heat up very quickly and overall this gilet is perfect for my needs
Great idea slightly on the small side for a large. Heats up quickly but even on the cooler setting gets too hot. Too small to wear anything other than a shirt underneath.
This works very well, its very comfortable and warms up nicely. However I have taken off a star as my hubby gets a static electric shock every time he takes it off. This could be something unique to him but its a bit inconvenient.
