Really like these. Look great. Would recommend.
Didn’t come with a remote though (was it supposed to?).
Not used the timer function but there’s a button on the plug which I presume manages that.
But they look great and were great value. Been up 2 weeks and no issues.
REMEMBER: buy some gutter hooks. The box suggests stapling them – which I presume is into wooden soffits. I think I got a box of 16 and that was more than enough.

Super nice Has a long lead cable that makes it easy to plug without an extension. The remote comes with many options and timer. Lights can be switched cold or warm
The settings are:
-Bright white
-Warm white
-Or combination of both but not inducing epileptic fits

Everything was perfect but I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 star as the lights weren’t as warm as I like them. I prefer the traditional warm white lights and these are slightly less warm. However true traditional warm lights are very hard to find!
Instructions regarding the timer aren’t very clear but we managed to work it out. The timer is built in to the plug and you press the white button for 3 seconds to activate the timer (button goes green) and lights stay on for a set time (we think it’s 8hrs on and 16hrs off). To deactivate the timer press and hold the white button and lights can be controlled through the socket as normal (green light goes off).
The string of lights is very long and the string from where the lights stop and the plug is it’s very long so you will definitely find a route to the socket. I’ve purchased two of this lights and they are really good value for price.
Don’t normally leave reviews but I wanted to this time as I’m so pleased! Some reviews I read did not leave me much confidence in my purchase.
They arrived well on time and very well packaged. Untangling the lights took about 10minutes (which is understandable as they are string lights!) and was very easy.
The remote is really handy and the different functions are great (maybe a little too crazy for me!).

Wow I love these lights, bought the 10m to try on my garage first to see if I liked them and I love them so now I’ve ordered the 15m to use on the front apex of the house, gives that winter wonderland lodge feel. The lead from the plug to the first lights is very long which is handy, the lead is very thin so you can slot through window. I used command stickys I bought to clip it up.
The string light is fine but it did not do quite what i was expecting so i thought I would share my experience asap.
First of all the remote didn’t work straight away, I pulled the little plastic tab (that separates the battery from the rest) and after pressing a few buttons nothing worked. Then I got the battery in and out a few time, blew in it (as if it was going to change anything …) tried again it didn’t work, then tried again and it worked, so to sum up BE PERSEVERANT! I don’t know if it is just because it is new or if the battery wasn’t in place, but basically keep trying as it might suddenly work. Alternatively there is a button on the plug itself that enables you to jump from one setting to another (thought i don’t think you can program a timer or dim from that button).
Secondly I was expecting the lights to work differently so it took me a while to work it out… the instructions for the different mode i received with the stringlight do not match what my light string remote, so here is what mine does (bare in mind i have only tested it for about 10 min this morning when it arrived as it only early November 2020)
1-combination of all type /alternating
2-steady warm white
3-steady cool white
4- flashing warm : normal / fast / normal / fast
5- flashing cool normal/fast/normal/fast
6-flashing slowly cool/warm, flashing faster cool/warm#
7-flash fast warm/cool alternate
8-slow-ish transition from warm to cool to warm…
9- fade warm / fade cool
Word of warning, there isn’t a fade warm or fade cool only option which is what I was searching for as i feel it is the less likely one to induce seizure in neightbours, so that was a bit disappointing.(unless i haven’t found it yet…)
Thirdly, if like me you don’t have external plugs then i found that the cable is thin enough to put it out the window and close the window on it (though you might want some electric tape or something to strenghten it ( disclaimer I’m not an electrician so might not be the best idea…)
Then the timmer, i haven’t tested that yet but there is a 6 hour, 8 hour and 6639H button (no idea what that is?!) but when i click on them a green light appears on the plug so i think it means the timmer is on. There is a timmer off button as well on the remote and when you click it the green light on the plug dissapears.
I have no idea yet if the timer works as per intructions.
Finally the dimmer….well at first the remote wasn’t cooperative so i though it wasn’t working, i did eventually notice a difference though it will probably be more noticeable when it’s outside, in the dark and scattered (rather than all gathered in one pile).
I can’t speak for longevity as I have only had it since this morning but i hope this review might be helpful. All in all i would recommend it but i would just share my comments regarding the mode (or rather the lack of “fade warm” or “fade cool” mode.).
