My dog loves these but to be fair, she eats anything & eats very rapidly. Shortest possible time between mouth & stomach is her way of eating!! Previous dental chews I’ve tried are far too easy for her to demolish but these are quite hard & spongy, meaning she spends longer chewing. She is a small dog but I buy the medium chews & then give her half a day. The medium chews are really fat, so need more chewing effort! They are made with natural ingredients & hopefully healthy to eat & good for her teeth.

Not really sure how good these are for cleaning teeth but our two cavaliers love them. However they are very expensive.
I couldn’t comment on the flavour other than plastic when you bite it and seaweed vibe. Probably do me no harm.

I think these are expensive but necessary for maintaining clean back teeth. Since having tartar removed from back teeth (12 months ago), I have been giving one a day to my dog and her teeth have remained tartar free. I buy large for a 23kg labradoodle and they take her longer to chew than other similar products. 3 stars for flavour because my dog is not discerning, but she likes the smell and her breath is fresher.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis is a really hard one to rate because I can’t tell what impact its having.

My dog has good teeth. We’ve been brushing his teeth a few times a week since he was a puppy. Sadly, some time ago, things went helter skelter in our life and his brushing got forgotten, reduced to once every couple of weeks.

I noticed tartar build up six weeks ago and immediately got knocked to my senses. His regime for the last six weeks has been brushing every other day (3-4 times a week sometimes with an electric toothbrush and sometimes with a finger one), Plaque X sprinkled on his food daily and one of these sticks three times a week. (Rawhide “bones” on inbetween days)

I think his teeth are getting better. There’s no bad breath and I think the tartar is reducing.

The rawhide takes him 30-60 mins to get through and seems a good workout for his teeth. These sticks are gone in 5-7 minutes (I’ve timed it).

The advantage to these sticks perhaps is that his jaw movements are different from rawhide. His opens his mouth wider and it seems he’s having to undertake different bites.

I don’t know. 4 stars because all I know is that his tummy is fine with no horrible soft “doings” or flatulence. I’m happy that his teeth seem to be improving on this routine I’ve got him on. I’ll be taking him for a dental check up in a few weeks and will update this post with the results.

Prod me in July 2019 if I haven’t updated and you’re keen to know the outcome.
