I like this, it’s pretty light weight, not bad, but there are better feeling builds out there. Worth it for a backup rig. I’m not sure about longevity or all day shoots, but so far so good
The hinged joints on this bit of kit are firm even with the ‘lock down’ screw backed out (the vertical spring loaded screw on top of the center bar), so there shouldn’t be any issues with the different sections flopping around while you mount it on the 15mm rails of your rig of you get the V mount plate just how you like it. That screw locks in both the angle of the rail coupling and the back hinge of the battery plate at the same time.
My shoulder rig has the shoulder pad back about as far as I can have it — maybe I need longer rails — and there was that little bit left for this battery plate to slip on without needing to change my existing arrangement. I did have a battery plate for the NP-F series of batteries back there but now I have the option of battery systems. I might even make a mod to the NP-F plate so it clicks into the V-mount receiver.
The plate with the V-mount has two short hex head (4mm socket) screws and you can get creative with how you put them to use to play with positioning the plate. In my second example, one screw is in the top and the other one is coming up from underneath. There are two rows of 5 threaded holes on the underside.
Chalk up another nice piece of rig items from Neewer that give me a lot of security and convenience across different camera setups I have.

The NEEWER V-Mount battery plate makes attaching high capacity 99 V type batteries onto cinema camera rigs easier with double adjustable standard 15mm rail threads and quick release latch. Build quality is made of highly durable solid aluminum meaning it increases the weight of rigs by almost. It has an open platform V mount that fits a number of different sized packs like 50/99 series with 15mm carbon fiber or aluminum rail rods.
The center control knob is a fantastic idea to hold up heavy V mount batteries by using a locking pin to prevent the weight from tipping over. This level of adjustability also extends to the front 15mm rod mounts which rotate 180 degrees vertically to attach on rails in either direction.
Space in between is used creatively by having 5x 1/4″ tripod screw mount threads behind V mount battery pack that can be utilized for either raising the rail platform ideal for shoulder mount rigs or even using the 1/4″ threads for attaching accessories. One small concern is the quick release knob does stick out from the side by almost 1″ inch. While platform length is largely fixed and takes up 4″ inches on 15mm rods horizontally, the battery pack can be folded to reduce overall size or modified for vertical use.

This mini V mount plate is designed to go onto 15mm rods, and is adjustable so you can have it above or below the rods to get the battery in the optimal position. It’s a great buy for making a shoulder rig setup where you want the battery at the back, or really any time you want to use a bigger v mount battery with a camera that doesn’t natively have a plate, and the versatility of this plate is that you can position it anywhere to balance well and avoid blocking the screen/buttons!
It’s a passive plate, so the only d taps you can use are the ones on the battery themselves, that’s the only downside versus some other products which are larger but have power outputs. But if you don’t need that, or intend to use a splitter instead to get the amount of outputs you need, it’s a great product!
It works with larger V mount batteries too, although I wouldn’t put a huge one on as it doesn’t feel as secure as a full size v mount plate!

This is built like a tank and easily up to professional work, I tested it on my shoulder rig with a 90wh v mount battery which is the biggest I have with no problems at all, it’s easy to adjust and stays in place when locked, all in all, good quality bit of kit.
This Mini V Mount Battery Plate with 15mm LWS Rod Clamps (Model No. PS007) arrives in a fairly plain, Neewer branded, cardboard box.
Made of aluminium alloy, all sections of this Mini V Mount Battery Plate feel robust and durable, whilst remaining relatively lightweight. And, like many of Neewer’s other products, the CNC work here is excellent and it has a good finish throughout. The threads in the sockets and on the screws are also clean, and along with the locking mechanisms, all worked smoothly and without any issues.
The design of the plate is well though out. Its detachable parts and foldable nature, along with its multiple sockets and 15mm rod clamps, make it extremely versatile, allowing you to securely mount and position a V Mount Battery on to your rig in a whole host of different ways.
In conclusion, there is nothing here not to like. This is a well made, extremely versatile V mount battery plate.

This V-mount battery plate is a recent addition to my videography gear, and it’s completely revolutionary. I can achieve the ideal angles thanks to the incredibly versatile L-shaped foldable design with rod clamps. Its ability to function as a counterweight is a bonus.
It is a dependable power source for my camera and monitors because it works with different V-mount batteries. The two 15mm rod clamps work perfectly with my rig system and give me flexibility when setting things up.
