Philips Hx9911/89 Sonicare Diamond Clean 9000 Series

Philips Hx9911/89 Sonicare Diamond Clean 9000 Series, Power Electric Tooth Brush, Aquamarine, 1 Count, Pack of 1

Built-in pressure sensor

You might not notice if you’re brushing too hard, but your DiamondClean 9000 will. If you need to ease up, the toothbrush will make a pulsing sound. It’s a heads-up to let your brush head do the work.

BrushSync automatic pairing

Smart brush heads ensure that you’re using the right mode and intensity for the best possible clean. When you are using the C3 Premium Plaque Control brush head, your DiamondClean 9000’s BrushSync technology will automatically sync your brush head with the White+ mode to help whiten your teeth.

Sonicare app

The DiamondClean 9000 gives you the guidance you need to improve and maintain healthy brushing habits in-between dentist check-ups. Built-in smart sensors let you know when you’re using too much pressure, and by connecting your brushing experience to the Sonicare app, a personalised Progress Report helps you stay on track to see how much you’ve improved over time.

I have been using Philips Sonicate toothbrushes for several years now. The diamond clean range are excellent when working properly although I have found them a bit hit and miss in terms of reliability at times.
I took delivery of this yesterday and am impressed by its overall quality. The feel of the product, the slight angle of the toothbrush head and the feel of the brushing are of a very high quality.
This is definitely the best toothbrush that I have bought.

First handle that arrived was awful. The pressure sensor didn’t work at all and it’s operation was very loud to the point it was basically unusable. I put a different head on it, and this helped initially – but the second you pressed against your teeth to brush at all it was incredibly noisy again. Like a rattly vibration inside the handle.

I ordered a new one and returned the broken one, and the new one is working 95% perfectly. There’s still a loud vibration sound but only when i apply pressure a certain way (although still not going beyond it’s ‘recommended pressure’) but it’s forgivable.

I expected a little better quality from these to be honest, considering the RRP of the item. However – I will say that coming from a different Oral-b electric brush to this one its certainly much better. More so than I expected. And at a steep discount it’s fairly worth it.

The app works great, but it’s not something I plan on using much going forward – I just tested it out. Battery life is great so far.

Would be 5-stars if the consistency and very likely the longevity of these handles & brush heads wasn’t seemingly as bad. I fully expect based on my initial experience and other customer reviews here and elsewhere on the web that I’ll have to get this handle replaced/fixed atleast once within the warranty period but only time will tell.

I always thought why but such a expensive electric tooth brush when I can buy one for so much cheaper. After having trouble with my gums I finally splashed out and gave this tooth brush a go.

Wow, what a difference in cleaning. Seriously immediately after first use my teeth felt as if they were cleaned by a hygienist.

Note I understand that there is a clear difference in the cleaning ability between my cheap 25 pound electric brush and this elite price one. Worth every penny.

Note let’s hope it lasts as long as the cheap ones do. Some reviews on here do not sound promising. But even if this one stops working I will buy another one agai

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI recently upgraded to the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean 9000, and it has been a revelation in my daily dental care. The toothbrush excels in effective cleaning, brilliantly removing plaque and leaving a refreshing, dentist-clean feel. Its integration with the Philips Sonicare app for tracking time and pressure during brushing is an added bonus, ensuring I maintain optimal dental health habits.

The design is sleek and comfortable to hold, with intuitive buttons making operation a breeze. The four modes and three intensity levels provide personalized cleaning experiences, whether I need a deep clean or a gentle gum massage. Its battery life is extraordinary, requiring only occasional charging, albeit it’s a tad slow to reach full charge.

However, a notable drawback is the lack of a UK plug adapter. The brush comes with a two-part USB charger, convenient for travel, but it misses the mark for home use, especially for those without a suitable socket in their bathrooms. While this doesn’t detract from the brush’s performance, it does pose an inconvenience that’s worth considering before purchase.

In conclusion, the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean 9000 is an exceptional toothbrush, offering top-notch cleaning capabilities and ease of use. It’s a worthwhile investment for those seeking a high-end electric toothbrush, albeit with the minor hiccup of the missing UK plug adapte

My husband bought one for my birthday so I bought him the same one for his birthday as this electric tooth brush is AMAZING! We had an Oral B one but can see the massive difference between two. I love it’s sooo quiet too. Totally recommend it! Shame the toothe brush head is so expensive to buy tho.

In gradient blue this toothbrush looks particularly stunning. I’ve tried many electric toothbrush brands and I keep coming back to Philips Sonicare. No other keeps my teeth feeling so clean from brushing for around 1-2 minutes. I wouldn’t say it’s loud, but if my husband is asleep I’ll have to shut the ensuite door so as not to wake him. The battery life is great – a real improvement on older models lasting over a week with two people using it twice daily. This new model has a button for program – clean / deep clean etc and a button for intensity. I don’t really notice much difference when I use the intensity button though. If you have never used a sonic toothbrush I can’t recommend them enough, and this (149.99) is a good price for a top model. My teeth have never felt so clea

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 electric toothbrush seems to be a high-quality product that delivers excellent cleaning results for most customers. Many reviewers mention how clean their teeth feel after using this toothbrush, with some saying it cleans better than previous electric toothbrushes they’ve owned.

The brush head design is praised for being effective at removing plaque. Several customers commented their gum health improved after switching to this model. The different cleaning modes allow you to customize the brushing experience for your needs.

While the price is on the higher end, most reviewers felt the performance and features justified the cost. Some noted being able to spread payments over time through Amazon helped make this premium toothbrush more affordable.

Potential downsides mentioned include the lack of a UK plug adapter included, the basic app, and some people finding their teeth felt slightly grittier after use compared to other toothbrushes. However, this may be an adjustment period as you get used to the Sonicare brushing motion.

Overall, customers rate the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 highly and say it delivers exceptional cleaning results. If you’re looking for a top of the line electric toothbrush with proven plaque removal and gum health benefits, this model is a great choice.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe power and feel of the sonicare brushes are second to none. I’ve tried others but they don’t get anywhere near the squeaky clean feeling these brushes provide me with. I drink a lot of tea and I’m sure my teeth would be orange if it wasn’t for these being as good as they are! They have a pretty much 2 week battery life, several different settings to personalise your brushing and a nice premium feel to the handle and brush. This has a new style charger (a puck type, so a flat bottom body/handle, if you hope to use an old charger or case). Some come with connected apps and brush head change reminders but that’s not something I’ve ever used. Yes they have reliability issues, which infuriates me because I’ve had sonicare brushes for about 10 years and they still have the same problems with internal components breaking. But I have never once had the slightest problem with getting it repaired or replaced under warranty, so I keep coming back. If a 1000 phone can’t last much more than 2-3 years, should I really expect my 120 toothbrush to do better?
