A great idea which my daughter loved. The doors with dates are very difficult to open resulting in a slightly torn box which was a shame. However, it didn’t distract from the crystals inside.
This had great sized crystals inside. My daughter absolutely loved it. Also had an a4 sheet identifying the crystals and what they are for inside. Brilliant. She much preferred this over her chocolate calender. Would highly recommend.
Such good value for money, my 23 year old boyfriend really enjoyed it! And as a geology student myself I found the fact cards really cool and great for teaching people about minerals and gemstones. Only negative was that the little hammer broke but that might just be user error and the blocks were easy enough to break with other tools.
Bit more fun than just opening a calendar to find a rock, my 6, 8 yo loved digging in the chalk like material for the gems each day. Great value and really lovely stones and stone description cards x
If you have an inquisitive little person in your house then this is perfect. The tools they give you dont really work….even big strong daddy couldn’t get in to the ‘stone’ with them but once we started putting them in a bowl(to contain mess/dust) and using a spoon to crack it open we were all set. But the ‘treasure’ you get and the info cards were unbelievably enjoyed by our 4year old. She has them all in her treasure chest and calls it her pirate gold. She loved the ones that had volcano or lava descriptions. Would 100% recommend.
I’m 38 and love shiny things and I completely got in on the fun too, and learned a few things. All round great purchase.
Good sized stones, good quality and each stone is different- bought for my daughter and she has really liked everyone. The little bags are well made, you have to apply the date stickers to them yourself and they can lose a little stick after a few weeks but none have fallen off. Happy to recommend.
Bought for crystal mad 11yr old. Really impressed with the size and quality of crystals. On day 14 and have lovely collection already. Nice little info card inside to give name and properties of crystals too.
Overall better than some of the reviews suggested but it is hard to identify all the crystals. I think the set might be missing some of the ones detailed on the leaflet as the images don’t correlate with the actual gems. It would be useful if the details were included with the relevant window to aid identification. Can’t confirm if they are genuine crystals
