This a brilliant little radio controlled helicopter, it is very easy to fly, and the automatic take off and landing works perfectly. It is also excellent value for money compared to some other makes of helicopter. I was so impressed with it that I bought a second one. My only minor gripe is that as the modular lithium battery has to be removed from the helicopter for charging, it would have been nice to have had a second battery supplied so that could be slotted in to keep the aircraft flying.

A cheap 3 channel with a gyro. It flies fine indoors, and outside, with zero wind. The transmitter is of the normal Chinese light plastic type, and does the job well enough, and the spares pack is a really good addition for new flyers. My only criticisms are, very short flight times, and sourcing additional batteries currently seems impossible.

    Well packed and arrived quickly
Good set of instructions and a nice set of spare parts.
I love radio controlled things that fly and i really love messing around with this.
    very easy to control
    Stability is excellent
If you want something to fly in the house thats fun and easy to control, look no further, this is great fun at a good price.

The helicopter, although quite small (slightly larger then an adult’s hand) looks well built and fairly robust. There are extra propeller blades for when the inevitable happens while learning how to fly it. All-in-all it’s a nice little package.

The remote control needs 3 AAA batteries to work – (batteries not included).

However the battery in the helicopter is a rechargeable and the instructions show how to take the pack out of the body to recharge using the special USB A cable. This needs to be done before the first flight. It was a bit of fight to remove the battery – in the end I had to prise the bottom of the battery away from the bottom of the helicopter housing with a thin knife blade. It turns out there is a lug that holds the battery in place – a bit too well in this instance.

The charger has a weird connector that slots into the battery and the other end needs a USB A charger or laptop. The red light on the USB charger shows while it is charging. It took about 20 minutes to fully charge the first time and then around an hour the second time.

Charged and ready to go we read the instructions before taking flight. The hand controller is nice – quite small but a reasonable copy of a gaming control. The instructions are in a version of English and need a bit of interpretation and some of the labeling on the diagrams seems a little suspect. Turn on the controller, turn on the helicopter, pair the devices, I’d made sure I had quite a lot of space around me, press the one key take off button and it works!

It rises about three feet and stays there, press that button again and it lands – this is good because for a beginner that’s a difficult skill to master. Then I began to use the other controls and hit the wall. The helicopter survived the crash and was up and running straight away. Within five minutes I had it buzzing around the room. The helicopter is not overly loud.

The battery seems to last about ten minutes – then it all has to go on charge again. There’s only one battery pack and no way to buy a spare so this could be frustrating. I have not tried it outside and I don’t know what would happen if it got out of range of the remote control which is about 20m or 75 ft.

But all-in-all it’s a nice little robust package.
