Very versatile light set with a few nice features
These lights are very pretty, maybe not as “thick” as some sets I’ve seen, with more tightly clustered lights.
It’s good that they are solar charged, but we have had to take the charge/control box inside and charge it using the USB cable a couple of times (supplied). Considering the time of year and the lack of light this isn’t hugely surprising.
The set does appear to be able to identify night time quite effectively and only comes on when the light has gone enough to warrant them being on.
I haven’t really bothered with the remote. The box is outside and we need to open the front door to get to it anyway. Plus once you’ve picked a flashing sequence are you really going to be changing it anyway?
You can join another set to the end of this one, although I’m not sure how the power box would cope with twice as many lights to light.
Nice set, worth the money. My only beef is I need someone to come round and put it on the guttering as I’m useless with heights!!
Bracket very fragile
These lights are very good, and the only reason I have given them 4 stars is because the bracket on the solar panel is so thin that it snaped as I pushed it into the ground. the mount is far too thin.
Very pretty solar Xmas lights... outstanding control box/ charge function!
This huge 15m set of icicle lights is well packaged and unwraps to a rather tangled looking mess… I’d advise that you get these out in a nice warm room and let them hang a while so the icicles drop vertically – otherwise if these go straight outside in the cold – you won’t get the full benefit. This is exactly what we did and it works a treat.
Anyhow… back to the lights!
Very nice quality. For the first time ever the control box has a “mode” indicator LED on it – not seen that before! Also, the addition of a USB C port to give the lights a pre-charge is great. That means that you can give the unit a good boost if needed. With this many lights powered by solar, and knowing the lack of light in British winter, this is great.
Oh, and the fact there is a battery level indicator on the control box is yet another great feature.
So… to the lights themselves. They look wonderful when lit. The remote offers some mode and brightness settings, but as always, we go for “always on” and “max brightness” and the remote then becomes redundant.
The lights come on automatically when night time comes, and go off when the sun rises, so that takes care of timing… which is excellent.
We put these up around the fence in our back garden ahead of the festive season to test/ review them, but they’re now on their way to the front of the house for Christmas time!
So, everything so far is positive… but we have a small issue that’s not going to ruin the review, but worth mentioning… Upon taking them down from the garden to get ready for putting them up again on the front of the house, I found that there was water inside the control box when undoing the connector. I’m not sure if this is an issue, but at least a thumbleful came out.
The unit is still working fine, and the lights will be stored in a dry and warm place after Xmas, so hopefully will be perfect for next year!
Wish they were a bit brighte
Our street is quite well served with street lights which makes these look a little bit pale. You can adjust light pattern with the remote control but initially I couldn’t switch them on and off. This evening (2nd evening in use), the remote control will switch them on and off. Definitely think I’m going to have to resort to supplementary charging via USB but given the lousy weather, that comes as no surprise.
Lousy packaging – just appear to be stuffed in the box. It took two of us nearly 30 minutes to tease the lights apart.
Have purchased a few of these over the last couple of years. Easy to put up and take down. Being battery operated no trailing power lead or extension lead requires when socket in the wrong place. Useful tip – works on batteries that are almost flat, so I keep my almost discharged batteries to use with these lights.
Amazing purchase
It looks great and works very well. But the remote control is not up to the mark especially the timer. I used the button on USB to keep the lights blinking otherwise it stops after one round. So make a note of using the button on USB.
Look grea
These look fabulous and were easy to fit on my gazebos curtain rings. Just had to face solar panels to the back garden away from house lights or they won’t work. Not sure what’s with the remote controls as they don’t do anything
Lovely lights
These lights were intended for the garden but I could not get them in the tree by myself so not used them this year. However, they are lovely and bright and I will ask my family to install them for me. Think they will look lovely all year round as I enjoy sitting in the garden late evening in summe
Light up
Love the lights warmth and its delicate look, although quite resilient. I gently stretched each roll of lights, left it looking like springs, which is pretty. Caught myself a few times in and no damage done. Many sequences and handy remote control with it. I have not yet discovered an option of a timer on this set.
LED Fairy light string
I bought these light’s to use in my kitchen this Christmas. I would have given 5 stars but some of the light’s didn’t change colour but other than that they were good.
These are beautiful up, quite fiddly as they are copper wire but once up they are stunning, they have lots of functions so they twinkle if you like, for the price of 10.99 its a bargain, would say if you’re thinking of getting them do it, very fast delivery too.

Gorgeous lights. Arrived packaged well. I found them very easy to unravel and attach to the wall using command clips. The effect is stunning and remote control is very handy. I’ve had them on almost constantly and they work perfectly with no parts of the lights/plug becoming warm. Really happy with this product.
Great wee lights
Bought quite a few as they’re great value. Git fed up with solar as they only ever last a short time. These I use reachaeragble batteries and are lovely when switched on they are very long and getting two for such a great price is great value . The remote is a great bonus as I can actually switch them on while sitting in the house. My garden looks lovely great wee lights

Its so pretty behind my bed for the price i got it. The remote doesnt work unless you point it at the usb part apart from that the brightness is perfect when you adjust it exactly how u like i
