Rokr keep supplying quality
My son built this in a couple of days of full on building. He got the marble madness one for Christmas and is addicted! Great cuts in the wood and instructions are easy to follow. The small ruler, wax and sandpaper that comes with it a re a great little addition. I dont htink this will be the last one he builds.
Great as an adults gif
Great as a gift the adult we got it for has never made one before but cant wait to start it everything is in the kit so you dont need to find things and it make a change from the normal gifts a man gets
Yes, I have made up jigsaw puzzles before (who hasn’t?). I have made up 5,000 piece jigsaws with loads of tiny bits, only to discover 1 piece was missing (right, nobody move, until I have checked under the sofa’). But these wooden models are new to me and I was really proud to complete this, and then able to prove that it worked!
And so on to the next one……!
I was pleasantly surprised how well made this was – all the parts are laser-cut to within a small fraction of a millimetre, and fit together nicely. I put it together over a few happy afternoons with my 11-year old daughter. Some of the steps required more controlled finger strength than she was capable of, so she wouldn’t have been able to do it alone. The instructions are very clear and there are spares of many parts.
My 5-year-old godson is delighted with this, and so am I. Obviously he needs help building it (it’s supposedly for ages 14+) but one-to-one guidance is all for the good. It’s encouraging all sorts of motor and reasoning skills, and he’s learning to importance of checking diagrams and delayed gratification, far better than if I’d bought him something easier and left him to do it himself.
Some of the parts are very small and fiddly, and there are lots of ways to get it wrong, so it needs patience and repeated checking of the instructions, which have so far been excellent. I also requires care to ensure such tiny parts don’t get lost, although the kit does include spares of most parts — possibly all of them, in fact (I’m not sure). Some of the parts need gentle sanding or wax lubrication before they will fit (wax and sandpaper are provided) but not excessively, so this hasn’t been too frustrating — although a child on their own might find this annoying. Seeing a functioning combination lock actually come together has been as interesting for adults as well as kids.
I expect I will be buying more kits form the ROKR catalogue in future.
Quality, well made product.
We were very impressed with this model. The pieces were extremely accurately cut, easy to separate and put together. There were duplicates of the smaller items for those ‘just in case’ moments, but the components were not at all flimsy.
This is a quality product, very well engineered and thought out. It took a couple of hours to complete the fascinating, working model.
A present for a relative
Although it is not possible for me to fully rate the specifics of the review request, it arrived well boxed, and looked as if it will keep my younger relative’s attention and focus. It appears very professionally finished and fairly easy to assemble! Don’t want it to be too easy; that’s part of the challenge!

The kit was very well made. The pieces were well cut and removed easily from the sheets. Finish of the pieces was very good. Assembly instructions were excellent and the quality of the whole complete piece was excellent.
Great puzzle box!
This is a great puzzle build, the parts were a bit flimsy and one item broke, but they included a spare so this must be expected! The first steps were not that clear (setting code) but the instructions got better as you get going. Inside box is very small buy the enjoyment is in the build!
Good quality. But not a puzzle box
This is fiddley to set up. Took me 3.5 hours. I am slightly disappointed that the listing calls it a puzzle box. It’s not a puzzle box. It’s a mechanical treasure box. Puzzle boxes involves solving puzzles. You need to know the code to get in this. Other than that the quality is excellent.
Clear and unambiguous assembly instructions
I liked everything about this product which gave me hours of pleasure in its construction. The laser cut pieces fit extremely well and are a pleasure to use, there are many spare parts so any breakages or losses can be easily replaced. The design of the construction is superb, in fact I cannot fault this product in any way at all and have no hesitation in recommending this to everyone.
Good Model to make
Loved this model. I really liked the fact that it came with spare parts so if a part got broken because you were a bit heavy handed then you had the parts to complete the model. Bought 3 different models from 3 different makers and this was the best by far. Really enjoyed making it. Would recommend buying this product and am going to be looking for other models from this maker to buy.
Fantastic piece of ki
I bought this for my ten year old and he thought it was amazing!! Assembly was tricky for him to start with but he soon got the hang of it. Waxing the edges helps the parts slot together more easily. (Comes with a small wax stick). It also comes with complete set of instruction if you don’t have a account to access the assembly video. He spent hours on this wee project. If your child has patience they will love it.
Excellent fun, great produc
Made this with my 9 year old son and had a fab time. It’s probably a bit too complex and fiddly for someone that young without help but it’s advertised as teenagers upwards so would say thats pitched about right. All worked great, challenging to build but not too hard. My son is over the moon with it and will definately buy another one. Highly recommended.
Good gift for a teenage
Bought this as the gift to the teenager. The quality was quite good and the thing works! The surprise was how quickly he managed to figure out everything and build the thing. I would definitely recommend it and will see to buy similar models in future.
Harder than it looks
I brought this for my daughter,who was getting bored in lockdown,l thought this would be a good pass time that she could create each day, presentation was good,all boxed up neatly,with a small instructions book,wooden sheets which you press out to make the treasure box,however,this isn’t an easy task! My husband stepped in to help,and even he struggled with it!!!!

Difficult to answer the ‘easy to assemble’ question as this has yet to be done. Nice quality product. Under UK law, glue is not provide. I did, unintentially contact the seller and received a prompt reply. At this point would definitely recommend
I have to say I was a little taken aback at just how quickly the recipient managed to contruct this but he said it was really good and that he it was fun. He seemed to understand how to read it too which I personally found far from straightforward. I think it was a good challenge but he was very methodical and it was fascinting to watch.
What a great little kit. The quality of the cut and the wood itself was much better than I expected. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, the parts fit together perfectly.
The finished model looks great and is now my calendar at work. Everybody that sees it thinks it is a great looking item.
I am that pleased with the quality, I have just ordered the Treasure Box.
Just wondering if there could be a version with the days of the weeks and their corresponding date on dials?
I appreciate this would be really technical, but as an engineer myself, it would be a great kit to try and build.

The building of this box had me and my lego-passionate 11 year old occupied for a whole day building.
It was great fun, with excellent quality of the pieces and good instructions. The finished box was beautiful, and we enjoyed the secrecy of the tribble lock mechanism!
We will buy ROKR models again for our enjoyment.
The thin ply wood is precision cut to form the curved corners but are easy to break while and after building, especially the lid.
The combination lock is quite tricky to assemble and also take at least a few practices to get used to the operation.
The central main locked compartment roughly measures 3.3cm x 3.3cm x 3.5cm.
The top circular unlocked compartment with shutter style door roughly measures 1cm deep x 3.3cm diameter.
More like a toy than a practical treasure box, fragile lid corners and limited storage space.
However, the design is very clever and the finish is very elegant if you manage to finish it.
Instruction is pretty clear, just pay attention to all the details.
