Quiet, attractive and efficie
Researched this through the consumer organisation Which? and via the Amazon reviews. We were looking for a quiet, easy to use, efficient and non-obtrusive kettle. This is it. Highly recommended.
Quiet & Quick
Really pleased with this kettle, looks good, is quiet and boils quickly.
The only negative thing I would highlight is that it took several ‘boils’ before the water tasted as it should.
very nice looking kettle
Really pleased with this Kettle. Its stylish and has a really solid feel to it. Pours smoothly with know splashing or leaking ,handle is comfortable to hold and boils in good time with little noise. Hope this helps anyone looking for a new Kettle.
Excellent purchase
Nothing to dislike with this kettle – It looks good and ‘does what it says on the box.
Process to register for and extra 1 year guarantee is tiresome – Have to open an account with a password of at least 8 differing letters, numbers and symbols but I did manage but doubt if I will need it again.
Stylish, quiet kettle
Bought this as I wanted a quiet kettle. This was to replace a fancy DeLongi kettle which was the noisiest kettle I’ve ever had. This is so quiet, best I’ve ever bought. It looks stylish as well. Highly recommend.
Quiet boil kettle
I really like this kettle, it is a lot quieter than our past kettles, which suits myself and my daughters. Hubby isn’t bothered either way. I like the design and the blue lights inside the sides.
Be careful though as it gets hot to the touch so only pick it up by the handle once boiled.
An excellent kettle
My wife wanted a quiet kettle as the one we had before she said was noisy (nope, me neither).
So we brought this one.
It’s certainly quiet but the best thing is the spout – it’s quite narrow and a little longer so makes for a super accurate pour – little chance of any spillage.
Great item at a great price.
Quiet and quick
Having a cheaper kettle which made a horrendous noise, we opted for this one to replace it. It’s much, much quieter, is smart with a blue indicator light, and a good weight – not too heavy, but feels solid and safe to handle. It was worth the extra money!
Style, speedy boil & pours well
Best kettle ever purchased! Very compact & stylish. Pours extremely well. Quantity of water shown on both sides of kettle which illuminates. Boils fairly quickly. Only negative is it’s not that quiet a boil but not bothersome.
Makes water boil - and so quietly
OK this is a marvellous invention – it boils water. That right you heard here first.
Now this means if you are bored with cold tasteless tea and awful cold coffee your days of gloom are over – seriously. You can now have it HOT – just love it.
Easy to use too – fill it with water – put it on it’s stand and turn on – in a matter of moments HOT TEA – oh my it’s changed my life I can tell you.
Actually feels solid and boils fast but the key thing is it is so darned quiet. A real revelation compared to one from a famous German brand which was like a jet engine taking off – I cannot praise this kettle too much.

Excellent Kettle
I like the styling and appearance of the kettle which goes well in my kitchen. The flip lid makes it easy for opening to fill. A clear water level indicators on both sides makes for convience for left or right handed use. The spout is designed so it pours well and its quick and quiet whilst boiling. I have had Russell Hobbs items in the past and they have always been good value for money. Some have mentioned a weird taste to the water but I suspect this is down to the area they reside in and if its hard or soft water supplied, I have not had any issues.

Just done the boiling and rinsing to ensure the kettle is clean. It is very nice looking: quiet; boils quickly. I specially like the illuminated water guages which are on both sides of the kettle which is good for right and left handed people. It also swivels nicely. There is a press button which flicks the lid up and protects your hand from any steam if you are doing a second boil. So far so good. Very nice kettle and looks great too.
Indeed much quieter than a standard kettle
Sturdy design. A bit too modern for my liking. I prefer the more retro looking ones. But it is much quieter than a standard kettle. I actually boiled water both in my old but good quality and brand standard kettle and I would say it is about 50% more quiet. The sticker on the kettle says 75% quieter but I think that’s a bit of a stretch. Honestly when it comes to electric kettle technology not much has changed since they were invented. Its electricity running through a heating element. I thought the reason that this kettle is quieter is not because it is better sealed or noise insulated or something. It is because of the positioning of the heating element and some clever physics which is very nice.
Looks Good, Performs Well
Very good product – the only drawback is steam escaping through the button that releases the lid. This button is conveniently situated on the top of the handle but it does mean when you lift the kettle to pour, the steam can scorch your fingers.
The best kettle that we’ve had in years. It looks sleek and stylish, makes enough noise to let you know it’s on but not deafening. A water gauge on both sides. Really pleased to have found and bought this model. It’s easy to boil a small quantity of water if only making one cup. The hinge on the lid is good and no problems filling the kettle. The filter stays in place. Definitely recommend.
Boils quickly and is very quiet. The shape is interesting. I like the square lid. All in all it’s a lovely kettle, but… the manufacturing taste takes absolutely forever to come out. It’s very strange because sometimes it takes like manufacturing and at other points it does not. At the beginning though, and for a long time afterwards, it continues to taste like manufacturing or rubber or something. I wondered if it was the rubber seal underneath the lid and gave it a rinse, but it’s still there 🙁 Otherwise it would have been perfect. The look of it is nice, but I would have preferred another colour… not gray. The spout is very nice – doesn’t feel like the water will spill. Otherwise only complaint would be the plastic measuring clips on the inside. We buy stainless steel kettles for a reason!
It took a long time to decide what brand and what kind of look to go for. So please with the purchase.
Kettle- at first I was doubtful of the square shape at the top (lid) as I wasn’t too sure is I liked it. However I went with it and oh how pleased I am. I love super neat pouring spout and it just gives a nice stream of water, straight into your cup. I want to say it’s almost impossible for the water to overflow while pouring it in the cup. Has a nice sturdy feel and feels like it a good quality and durable kettle. Really worth the money. It is super quiet so I have to stay in the kitchen to make sure I hear when its boiled. It also quick at boiling.
Toaster: unfortunately toaster is not as great as the kettle. Compared to the kettle that feels like good quality and durable product, the toaster has this “cheap” feel to it. The metal sides are a bit too plasticy and if you pick/ lift it up from the top, the plastic folds in. The metal parts seem to stain a little, so have to be mindful what kind of cleaner you use to clean it. I would recommend nothing too harsh. The slots where you put bread – if a couple crumbs burn on that top bit of the metal part, it is kind of hard to clean it. Al in all, not a fan of the toaster but if you seek a matching set, the kettle totally compensates it.
Our old kettle packed up just before Xmas and I was in a bit of a hurry to get a new one delivered, but still wanted to make sure I got the right one. The Russell Hobbs Luna seems so far to do the job and I am very pleased I chose this one. It is quick to boil and quieter than my last one. It has got the water level at the front and not behind the handle so easy to see and fill to the right level. It pours very easily and without spilling. The 1,2,3 cup level inside is useful thought not that important as I find it easier to look at the front water level. It looks good and fits nicely with my other electrical appliances. It is brushed “silver”. The button to open the lid is great and can be done one handed. I followed the instructions to rinse it out and boiled the kettle twice before using it so have had no problems with taste or smell of the water. Because it is well made, it is slightly heavier when filled than my last one and that might be a problem with arthritis hands. The kettle is slightly more expensive than I would normally spend but I am very happy with product and would buy again.
