There’s no question Samsung makes some of the best m.2 ssds so obviously I can’t write anything you already don’t know about this. What I do know is that it works really well with my mac once I put it in an external case and hooked it up. I can use it to play games like Tomb Raider, Hitman and Bioshock straight from it. It works as well as the internal drive.

Es el 980 bsico, pero me parece que las diferencias de velocidades con los evo o pro no justifica su exponencial diferencia de precios. Los juegos mas pesados cargan como un tiro. Si vienes de un disco duro o un ssd sata, vas a notar mucha diferencia y cumple mas que de sobra.

Als System SSD habe ich eine 500 MB groe 980 Pro. Ja ich wei, ist bertrieben, aber wer hat, der hat.
Die normale 1 TB 980 dient fr Spiele. Sehr fixe Ladezeiten. Und laut der Samsung Software bringt sie auch die versprochene Leistung.
Da mein Gigabyte Board insgesamt drei Slots hat, wird wohl bald noch eine zweite 980 mit 1 TB in den Rechner kommen, sobald die Preise sich wieder beruhigt habe

Calidad pura, he probado evo 970, Crucial P2, Crucial MX, BX, nada se compara y se ve la diferencia, aunque tampoco se nota una barbaridad.
Muy importante tener M.2 4.0 sino no tiene sentido la compra. He ledo a gente que dice que su 970 es ms rpido… Pues fjate que placa base tienes, porque este lo duplica en velocidad.
La temperatura mxima que me ha dado es 61 grados con estrs con el disipador de la placa base MSI CARBON WIFI B550.
La clonacin fue muy sencilla con el programa de Samsung magician, tarde unos 10 min.
Lo compre en oferta aqui mismo a 162 y ha sido la mejor inversin. El precio puede variar para el modelo de 1 Tb.

Many say this isn’t meant to be in the pro line up because it’s using TLC and not MLC but considering it’s a pcie 4.0 drive with crazy fast speeds anyway, in my opinion it’s still worth the purchase.
I bought this for 141 in an amazon prime day special and use it in my pcie 3.0 laptop and the speeds are just insane for this platform with the added benefit of not having to upgrade in the near future if i move to pcie 4.0 mobo………………Winner winner – you know the rest.

First off, Its an original Samsung drive, not an el cheepo Chinese ripoff.
I read a lot of bad reviews here about this drive.
To be direct and blunt they are all written by people who have just a very basic understanding of how computers and electronics work.
Here is a short and easy to follow way to maximize performance and get the average speeds Samsung advertises.
1- Make sure you have a PCIe slot free that supports at least PCIe v3.0, this is a MUST, because using a PCIe v2.0 has only half the throughput of V3.0.
2- Make sure your system/mainboard supports a PCIe V3.0 with 4 or more lanes in that slot. (triple check your manufacturers manual and/or website for this, some mainboard have mixes slots!)
3- Once in an OS (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, etc) use a tool like CrystalDiskINFO to read what transfer mode the drive is connected to.
4- If you have PCIe 3.0 x4 there (in Crystaldiskinfo) than enjoy your very fast NVMe drive!
If not, start over at step 1 until you find out why you don’t have the correct transfer mode/slot.

Very nice. Laptop, coupled with 16gb ram, boots up under 10secs. Speed is incredible. Gaming did improve a little bit. Installation is a bit of a task and they should also ship a screw with package. Otherwise its pretty good.

Extremely easy to install to my motherboard, just had to follow a couple simple steps provided with my motherboards manual. Was able to clone by Windows install from my old SATA SSD to this new NVMe, very pleased. Now boots up without even showing the loading wheel!
A friend suggested me to use NVMe instead of SSD and that was the best advice ever. A lot faster than the typical SSD and at almost similar price for 500GB. Beware though, this only fits in the M2 slots of the motherboard and not with a SATA cable like the SSD so plug it in after you plug in the ram sticks

Wer in der Hardware seines PCs rumbasteln will, sollte natrlich ein wenig Grundwissen haben, bzw. sich da einlesen. Der Einbau dieser SSD auf dem M.2 Steckplatz ist absolut kein Hexenwerk. Noch nen Khler drauf gepackt und ab damit. Die Platte wurde im UEFI und in der Magican Software sofort erkannt. ber die Datentrgerverwaltung im Windows Men dann aktiviert, formatiert usw. Platte war sofort da. Mit der Samsung Data Immigration die Platte C auf diese geklont, hat keine 5 Minuten gedauert. Hat nach dem Neustart direkt von dieser Platte hoch gefahren und die alte Platte “offline” gesetzt, also sehr komfortabel.
War wirklich einfach zu handhaben, das ntige Wissen dazu kann man sich wirklich berall ziehen. Hat sich in meinem Fall gelohnt.

Great little SSD. Fast access memory, slightly slower with large files (300mb or bigger) but I do t have it set up for those types of files. Runs my operating system flawlessly, start up time sub 3secs. Easy installation, check the motherboard is compatible before purchasing.

Ich war auf der suche nach einer 1TB M.2 zu einem fairen Preis, dies habe ich meiner Meinung nach mit dieser gefunden. Der Einbau lief ohne Probleme und wurde von meinen PC direkt erkannt, ich musste sie nur noch Formatieren. Ich habe die Platte in zwei Partitionen aufgeteilt, einmal fr Windows und den Rest fr Games und Programme.
Beim testen der Geschwindigkeit konnte ich leider kein einziges mal die 3500 MB/s erreichen aber meist lag sie im Bereich von ca. 2600, was mehr als fnf mal so schnell ist wie meine SATA-SSD.
von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung fr alle die in der Geschwindigkeit etwas zurcktreten knnen um eine Groe M.2 zu einem guten Preis zu bekommen.

Easy to install, quick setup
I use this product for installing games with long load times, working beautifully. Using an Aorus Ultra Gaming 370Z motherboard.
Installation is easy, just follow any YouTube video and you’ll be done in 5-10 mins. Go to device manager and it will ask you to initialise the disk – once that’s done, allocate a position and you’re sorted.

Besser als die WD SN750
Ich habe mir ein einen neuen Rechner zusammengebaut und dabei habe ich mich fr eine 1TB Samsung 980 Pro als Haupt-SSD entschieden.
Leider reicht eine 1TB SSD mir nicht aus und es musste noch eine zweite her. Zuerst habe ich mir per Warehouse deal einen WD SN750 1TB geholt. Leider erreichte diese nicht die Schreibleistung (Max 1GB / sec anstatt 3GB). Also ging die SSD zurck.
Als ersatz habe ich mir dann die 980 1TB geholt. Die Leistungswerte passen mit der Spec berein. Htte mich gleich fr die 980 entscheiden sollen, da es durchaus Sinn macht bei einem Hersteller zu bleiben. Die Kombination 980 Pro + 980 funktioniert super und man muss sich nur eine Herstellersoftware installieren (kein Muss, macht allerdings Sinn). Die Software von Samsung ist um Welten besser als die von WD. Bei WD konnte ich kein secure erase der SN750 durchfhren, da dies anscheinend schon einmal gemacht wurde.
Wrde die 980 (ohne PRO) wieder kaufen. Im Nachhinein htte ich zwei 980er kaufen sollen. Der Aufpreis zu einer 980 pro ist zu gro.

I installed this in my system and moved Windows over to it, have had no issues with the drive. I haven’t consciously noticed a difference between my old SATA SSD and the new one but its much smaller and doesn’t require a power cable like a SATA SSD does. The only potential downside is this will run a little hotter than an SATA SSD, butt that’ll be the same for M.2 Drives in general, so if you’re having thermal problems maybe avoid the M.2 but if you’re thermal flow is fine like mine I haven’t noticed a difference in temp to the other components or increased venting. Would definitely recommend!

Mein Board ist ein paar Jahre alt und untersttzt daher nur PCIe 3.0×4. Mir bringt daher eine PCIe 4.0 SSD keinen Mehrwert.
Zumal bei der aktuellen Preissituation der Grafikkarten eine Systemaufrstung eh noch sehr weit entfernt ist…

Picked up this SSD to use as my second hard drive in my MSI GF65 thin laptop which had a slot for the installation of a second storage drive. Its a rather simple installation to do if you’ve done this before, just be watchful of whether your laptop company allows for users to upgrade the SSD since it may void your warranty.
The drive is fast and good value for money for what it offers. I’d pick an nVME drive over a conventional SATA drive any day of the week 🙂
I have never bought a ssd for a os that does not contain onboard DRAM but for a SSD that uses HMB this rivals the 970 and tbh is very very fast, so far so good.
The magician software isn’t working due to driver from intel, it need it from Microsoft or Samsung, but in Samsung website there is no driver for it and no clear way to have Microsoft drive

Il s’agit du SAMSUNG 980 en version 1to que j’ai install sur un portable de gamer MSI.
C’est certainement le meilleur NVME 1to pour PCI 3.
Tout d’abord, il est moins cher que la srie prcdente (979 EVO plus) pour des performances quivalentes.
Ensuite, il ne chauffe pas contrairement un WD SN 750 ou un CRUCIAL P5.
Enfin, la fiabilit, la capacit et les performances transforment votre exprience de jeu.
Petit point ngatif : pour cloner le disque c’tait une vraie galre, mon PC ne disposant que d’un slot NVME. J’ai donc achet un adaptateur (SABRENT) mais du coup, le disque n’tait pas reconnu par le logiciel SAMSUNG.
J’ai opt pour la solution gratuite avec CLONEZILLA mais il faut aussi RUFUS pour crer une cl USB bootable. Bref beaucoup d’efforts et de stress plus tard, le disque tait clon et install. Encore un coup de AOMEI pour redimensionner la partition systme et me voil avec mes 1to sur C: ouf. Bref pas simple.

Poco da dire; un ssd di qualit con prestazioni lettura /scrittura come da descrizione. L’ ho usato come hdd principale la differenza rispetto al classico hdd meccanico abissale ! soffre molto il cado, anche se messo nel 1 slot della scheda madre il quale di solito ha un dissipatore di serie. Quindi occhio alla dissipazione del calore e ad avere un buon flusso d’aria nel pc per tenerlo fresco!

L’SSD ottimo e preso ad un prezzo inferiore ai 100 grazie al Warehouse Deals davvero un affare. L’articolo risulta utilizzato per 5 ore ed avviato solo 9 volte, quindi esattamente come nuovo. Impossibilitato ad utilizzarlo in uno slot M.2 3.0 x4, l’ho inserito in un adattatore e raggiunge velocit di 3000MB/s sia in lettura che in scrittura. Samsung per quanto riguarda le memorie sempre al top!

Die 980 EVO ist leider nicht so schnell wie der Vorgnger ( Lesen 3000 / Schreiben bis 2800 ) getestet im Mac Pro 2020. Aber wenn sie im Angebot unter 100 zu haben ist sollte man zuschlagen.
Wer die Wahl hat, sollte eher die Sandig Pro nehmen, die noch einmal 10 – 15 % schneller is
Because this is DRAM less memory it work on host buffer memory so it won’t give you performance as advertised even when you buy 1 TB varient as i did. I would suggest to go for 970 evo plus or pro
I recently got myself a shiny new gaming laptop, but since it came with a paltry 512Gb (but admittedly lightning-fast) SSD and had an extra SSD slot, I decided to go ahead and give it a bit of an upgrade. I did look at other SSDs, but since these Samsung Evo ones are pretty much regarded as the best you can get, it was a bit of a no-brainer.
This thing is easy to install – the most difficult bit was actually getting my laptop popped open – from there, it was a simple case of sliding it into an SSD slot and securing it with a screw. Once that was done and I’d managed to get everything screwed back together, my laptop detected it without any problems and it was a simple case of giving windows 10 a poke to let it know that a new drive had been installed.
The drive itself is impressively quick and, well… There’s not much else to say!

Inoltre dopo aver installato il prodotto non me l’ha riconosciuto subito. Bisogna installare il programma “Samsung Magician” e poi creare una partizione col Disk Manage
Samsung recently switched their top prosumer line from MLC to TLC/3D NAND. They call it 3-bit MLC, which is exactly what TLC is. For those looking at higher endurance, the MLC-based 970 Pro is still the drive to get. Sequential writes are quicker on the old drive and a 1TB unit will have 1200TBW endurance as opposed to 600TBW for the 980 Pro.
This means that durability of the 980 Pro is halved from the 970 PRO line, but it does mean that all 9xx series NVMe now have TLC. Therefore it makes very little sense to get this over the 970 EVO Plus, which runs the 980 Pro close. There are a few notable differences though.
The PCIe 4.0 interface on the 980 Pro only offers an improvement in peak bandwidth. Controller optimisations are where you get drive speed differences from. Samsung moved the controller to the same 8nm node as the nVidia 30xx series GPUs, and thus offer much lower operating temperatures and better power efficiency. The 970 EVO+ in my system runs 105C without a heatsink and peak writes, the 980 PRO tops out at about 78C in the same conditions. I do use a heatsink but like to test stuff just the same.
Most of the speed bumps over older lines and other drives come from the massive SLC cache, coupled with 1GB onboard DDR4 memory, you can get above 100GB of high-speed writing at a time. The new Elpis controller offers 4 times the number of queues per channel and as a result you can expect 22k IOPS at 4k QD1, which is staggering.
But on the desktop, you hardly notice any of this. I upgraded to this from a Crucial P1, which is a QLC DRAM-less drive and is one of the slowest NVMe units ever created. The 980 Pro feels a bit snappier and game load times are down by about 30%, but when comparing 10 sec to 7 sec it basically makes no difference.
Either the 970 EVO+ or the 980 (non-pro) would be good options. The latter has no DRAM buffer, so it begins to crawl once the SLC cache is full – after about 50GB. The EVO+ has a smaller SLC cache, but the DRAM buffer makes sure that you won’t notice. The prime difference is when writing large datasets to the drive, or doing a drive fill.
The price drop on the PRO line is a good move, but it comes with a stack of compromises. Samsung now has a crowded range with 4 choices between 10 and 20k, so you should choose what suits your needs the best. I feel my 970 EVO+ is actually the better value, and by quite a bit.
I have purchased earlier two SATA SSD of Samsung to my PC. So far no problem. Now this Samsung 980 500GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 (2280) installed to my ward's Laptop. I removed the 1TB ordinary HDD and installed this. Now the system is booting in 10 seconds. The Samsung Magician indicates 42 degree temperatures after a working quite time. I have purchased earlier two SATA SSD of Samsung to my PC. So far no problem. Now this Samsung 980 500GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 (2280) installed to my ward’s Laptop. I removed the 1TB ordinary HDD and installed this. Now the system is booting in 10 seconds. The Samsung Magician indicates 42 degree temperatures after a working quite time. The life expectancy is yet to be evaluated. I recommend this one over than other brands which are less priced.

C’est un peu trompeur d’avoir les avis sur tous les modles la suite.
Dommage aussi que les personnes qui ont test leur SSD ne donnent pas plus de dtails sur leur config.
Donc, voici la capture d’un test de perfo de mon 980 (pas pro) sur Asrock Z170M Extreme4.
45 en dbut de test, et en moyenne Windows 10 2004 tournant vide
75 au plus fort du test.
Achet en remplacement de mon SM951 dont un sfc /scannow avait corrig des erreurs.
Au final, je me rends compte que l’ancien comme le nouveau chauffe vite ds qu’ils sont sollicits.
Le port M2 de ma carte mre tant sous la CG, a n’aide pas non plus malgr un botier bien ventil.
J’aurais voulu achet une autre marque que Samsung vu mes deux mauvaises expriences avec le SAV SSD mais difficile de passer outre ce modle vu les tests et surtout le prix/disponibilit.

Before it, my laptop was becoming so slow day by day! Then I installed it today and my laptop became unbelievably fast! I installed it myself after watching few youtube videos. It was very easy! I was a little worried before buying it. Because from Lenovo customer care they were saying that a maximum of 512 GB will support Lenovo Yoga 520-14IKB. But then I checked with many other sources. Especially with a crucial ram scanner site. Then I was confirmed that 1 TB will support it. I got it for rs. 10169 using card discount. I am very happy with my purchase. And the delivery by Amazon was also very good. Thank you, Amazon!

Samsung sempre stato sinonimo di garanzia per me e questo ssd nvme non delude! Purtroppo a causa della mia scheda madre un p datata (slot M2 Gen2 x2) non ottengo le prestazioni dichiarate ma sono comunque superiori ad un ssd sata e mi ritengo soddisfatto. Ovviamente con una scheda madre con slot M2 Gen4 x4 sarebbe tutta un’altra storia.

Es una bestia, tanto la velocidad de carga y descarga de datos. Pero tiene controladora NVME ( NO AHCI – OjO) asi que para las primeras placas base con M.2 cuesta un poquito mas instalar el Windows 7 (por los drivers), en cambio con el 10 va genial, pero me quedo con el 7 jejeje

I usually hate Samsung because its affordable products are not powerful enough and powerful products are never affordable. May it be smartphones, TVs, computer peripherals or anything else.
This is the first time a renowned name such as Samsung has introduced an affordable M.2 stick.
I previously used to prefer and ordered Crucial P1 and Kingston A2000 which supports speeds upto 2GBPS. Cost of the same ranges between Rs. 8000 to Rs. 10000. They also work flawlessly.
But Samsung has knocked out all alternatives by bringing this M.2 drive at such an affordable price which not only is one of the cheapest 1TB drives on Amazon, but also the fastest in the price segment that supports speeds upto 3.5 GBPS.
I got this for approx Rs. 10000 after card offers.
Kingston and Crucial are also quality products but I don’t regret paying Rs. 1000-2000 extra for double read/write speeds and reliability of the products Samsung offers.
A recent fact I got to know after opening my MacBook Air is it is also equipped with M.2 Drive manufacturered by Samsung. So the reliability remains unquestioned.
It is easy to install, value for money and a must for gaming.

Il salto di velocit fra SSD a X pollici e gli NVMe per il 90% delle azioni non dei pi grandi, ma le dimensioni ristrette e l’installazione senza cavi durante l’assemblaggio del PC (inserisci a un angolo, posiziona la base, metti la vite piccola e via) assieme al loro intralcio svanito valgono gi i soldi extra, ahahah!
La Samsung non una compagnia eccelsa secondo me (non mi sono mai piaciuti i loro pannelli per i monitor, telefoni di bassa fascia ed elettrodomestici – con molti ho avuto esperienze dispiacevoli) ma non ha rivali nei supporti di memoria, sia chiaro.

Before installing this ssd, download and install Samsung Data Migration on your existing hdd drive.
Once installed, go to Samsung Data Migration and select the OS drive from hdd and move to ssd. In BIOS select ssd as boot drive.
Zubb, you all set to use ssd. It’s pretty fast restart, start, shutdown in 5 secs maximum for my laptop.

Very easy to migrate my OS using Samsung magician.
Runs very well and whilst I haven’t had to stress this at many points during my use, I’m surprised to see it run quite cool. Haven’t noticed any throttling during extensive tasks.
This is currently in a small itx system paired to a mini-itx. Without a thermal strip I was hitting 64’c and using a thermal strip on both sides managed to cool this down to 52’c.
Overall, for 90 and 1TB of storage, it was a complete bargain!
Performs flawlessly
An SSD upgrade is a must if you don’t have one. The overall laptop works better than new. Booting up is faster, responds instantly and load times for games and softwares have reduced drastically. Main reason why I chose the Samsung 980 is because of the Samsung data migration software. It works like a charm. I was able to transfer windows OS to the SSD without any issues.
Purchased 8gb ram with the SSD, both combined has drastically improved my laptops capability. I’m able to run complex simulations without any hiccups.
Really really good read/writing speeds.
Fairly easy to install as well if you have a good motherboard.
The NVME itself is surprisingly small, so don’t be surprised as its performance is godly, even at PCIe 3.0 speeds.

beh che dire, il pc con una memoria SATA da 1TB ci metteva un minuto/un minuto e mezzo ad accendersi ora solo 10 secondi.
Ho avuto difficolt nel trovare un programma gratuito per copiare tutto, dal SATA al SSD SAMSUNG visto che ormai anche i pi famosi li hanno messi a pagamento, ma MACRIUM REFLECT mi ha salvato, facile e veloce da usare e totalmente free
J’ai toujours fait confiance Samsung pour le stockage. Ce 980 en 1To vient rejoindre dans ma tour :
– un autre NVMe le 970 Pro en 512Go
– un SATA le 850 Pro de 512Go.
Je comptais reprendre un 970 Pro mais trop onreux en 1to (sans doute un des derniers SSD NVMe grand public avec de la mmoire MLC …)
Bref ! Venons en ce 980 ! Je prcise que je m’en sers comme stockage pour mes jeux vidos (systme et programmes sur le 970Pro et les autres donnes sur le 850Pro). Le PCIe Express 4.0 n’ayant aucune utilit pour 95% des gens, ce 980 en 3.0 a pleinement sa place dans le “moyenne gamme” des NVMe : non le 4.0 ne fera pas charger plus vite vos jeux, photos, documents et vidos ! Il ne sera utile que lors d’usage applicatif plus soutenu. Aprs si vous souhaitez jouer celui qui a la plus grosse …. vitesse d’criture ( :p ) c’est votre problme !
Les plus :
– Mme sans DRAM cache, les vitesses d’critures tiennent bien le choc !
– dbit d’criture rapide (400Go de jeux depuis un autre NVME vers celui-ci en 30min soit 1800mb/s de moyenne)
– l’avantage de tout SSD au format M.2 bien entendu : pas de cbles supplmentaire dans le botier : on ouvre, on vis sur la CM, on dmarre, on cr la partition et hop ! prt l’emploi !
Les moins :
– Je n’en vois pas ce prix ! lanc 150 en 1to, aujourd’hui 100 sur Amazon … Samsung signe ici un SSD de qualit, endurant et abordable. Il prend dignement la relve de la gamme Evo (Merci Samsung d’avoir enlev cette appellation, qui n’avait pas vraiment de sens)

My existing setup is as follows:
Laptop: Legion y740 15inch with RTX2070 MaxQ
HDD: 1TB 2.5 inch (7mm) 7200rpm (stock)
SSD: 128GB m.2 NVMe Pcie 2242 m+b key (stock) with Win10Home
Wanted to upgrade both the:
A.) existing 1TB 7200 rpm HDD as well as the
B.) 128GB m.2 NVMe pcie SSD
With:
A.) 2TB Samsung 870 EVO 2.5inch SATA SSD
B.) 1TB Samsung 980 m.2 (2280) NVMe pcie SSD m key (for Win10 OS).
As i only use the Lenovo Legion y740 15″ for gaming purpose so with games having humongous download sizes, 1TB HDD was filling up faster (was left with only 250GB of 1TB space) and also the 7200rpm drive was real slow for game load times (waiting of 3-5 mins) for a game load.
As of the current Gen, a NVMe pcie based m.2 SSD is the fastest drive in the market and Samsung 980 is the latest iteration from its new lineup of m.2.
Ofcourse there are the PRO version m.2’s as well but those are just out of budget and out of scope from a gaming/home use kind of scenarios unless one is into heavy video editing, designing and vfx purposes.
Installing both the SSDs is fairly simple as just the screws are to be removed (follow your laptop manual for the same) and pop in these in their respective slots.
A word of caution though: m.2 slot on the laptop/desktop motherboard are mostly “M Key” based (female notch placed at the right side of a m.2 SSD that goes into the male notch on the motherboard). Also, most laptop/desktop motherboards easily support varying lengths of m.2 SSDs like 2242 2260 and the longest 2280 (22 is the width in mm where as the last 2 numbers i.e. 42, 60 and 80 are the lengths in mm).
Also, a 2.5 inch (7 mm or 9 mm) HDD/SSD enclosure can also be bought so that you can keep your old HDD/SSD as a portable HDD/SSD within the enclosure. I bought the transparent ORICO 2.5 mm model 2193U3 HDD/SSD enclosure (have reviewed that as well) and i keep my 7200 rpm 1TB HDD inside this enclosure after having it replaced with the 2TB Samsung 870 EVO.
Likewise, there is also an enclosure for the m.2 NVME PCIE SSD available from the same brand, ORICO. Check it out at amazon.in as well.
So, I made a BOOTABLE win10 usb (using the Windows Medial tool online) so that I can install the OS on the newly installed m.2 2280 ssd and the entire process took less than 30 mins from hardware installation to OS inatallation from USB to the new m.2 ssd.
There is Less to No Comparison of Quality and Price of Samsung SSDs with other brands like Sabrent, Crucial, WD etc.

Mentre sul 960 pro ho installato il sistema operativo.
Non ho preso un 980 pro PCI 4.0 nonostante abbia una Asus tuf x570 pro wifi, Visto che sui carichi reali passare da 3000mb a 5000 mb non si noterebbe.
Avrei preso una versione da 2tb ma per ora non si trova.
Anche sulla sequenza di immagini vola. Spostare anche 70 GB di sequenze exr non si abbassa la velocit di trasferimento.
Temperature sempre nella norma.
Peccato per la qualit della stampa dell’etichetta sul prodotto. Veramente leggere. Sembra che possa prendere fuoco

Prima avevo un SSD di qualche anno, circa 480Gb. Ho preso questo SSD da 1Tb e… la differenza si nota su ogni cosa. Office molto pi veloce, cos come l’avvio di Windows e tutti i programmi. L’ho messo su una ASUS H270. Attenzione a vedere se avere la vite che serve per fissarla nello slot M.2 (io l’ho persa e ho dovuto prenderla su Amazon).
Dopo anni, Samsung rimane una garanzia
Ho sostituito la mia vecchia unit M2 da 128gb su cui tenevo solo sistema operativo e programmi. Questo samsung 980 da 1Tb molto veloce, ovviamente molto spazioso, affidabile dopo un paio di mesi di utilizzo con CAD, modellazione 3D, impaginazione PDF, fotoritocco e posso dire che stata un’ottima scelta. Ovviamente non ho fatto paragoni con altre unit di marche differenti ma mi ritengo molto soddisfatto dei dispositivi di archiviazione samsung (ho da anni un 860evo 250gb, anch’esso affidabile e tutt’ora abbastanza veloce).
Schnelle SSD!
M.2 SSDs sind generell schon sehr schnell, diese SSD ist da definitiv im High End Sektor angesiedelt und erbringt bei mir mit entsprechender Hardware genau die Leistung die angegeben wird.
Es lassen sich problemlos mehrere/groe Datenmengen verschieben. Die SSD ist bei mir nicht kleinzubekommen!
Fr eine lange Lebensdauer unbedingt auf entsprechende Khlung achten!
Ich kann diese SSD nur weiterempfehlen! Definitiv sein Geld wert!
This nvme was an upgrade from a sata SSD used for my system drive. My sata drive was only small so this was mainly an upgrade for capacity rather than speed as my sata SSD wasn’t that slow. This drive does feel fast though. I haven’t had any problems with this drive up to now. I got it during a sale so is good value for money. This is dram less so if writing more than 160 gb at once the drive will slowdown its writing speed from 3000mmbs to around 500 mbs but the only time this felt like an issue was when I formatted the drive. Other than that this drive has plenty of speed and Samsung magician software is quite useful with it too.
First i was not sure about purchasing this ssd as i didnt had any idea whether it can be used in lenovo s145 laptop. But when i checked the ssd slot in my laptop i immediately purchased this ssd as i had read a lot of good things about this M2 ssd
Its a simple plug and play device but only if you know how to open up your laptop.
Installed windows on this ssd ( original one ) and from then my laptop boot up time and performance was drastically increased.
it give great performance as you can see in images i have attached though 300MB less write performance(they promised 2600MB/sec but that can very so…its fine though ) i don’t know why reason behind it maybe heat ? (it was 40-50 C in summer i will install 1 more fan as for now i have 1 rare fan only and i am using asus tuf gaming b365m-plus with i5-9400F GPU 1650super 16gb ram and ssd was filled during test was 100gb with windows , basic software and install more stuff (Remember more you fill it up more slower it gets….)) ….i think maybe 100mb might improve after i install intake fan might lower temp and help….still i am satisfied
Vengo de un Samsung EVO 870(SSD de la anterior plataforma SATA) que si bien es rpido y es el tope de gama(obviando la linea PRO) ya ha llegado al lmite de las capacidades del puerto. El salto a los nuevos SSD NVME es grande respecto a velocidades, pero no son tan perceptibles como lo fueron de los HDD a los SSD SATA.
Si ya tienes un buen SSD SATA no veo necesaria la adquisicin de un NVME, por el contrario si tu placa tiene puerto pci-e para los NVME y tu SSD Sata se te ha quedado pequeo o te esta dando fallos(tpicos de los ssd baratos con mala tecnologa cuando llevan unos cuantos TB escritos) sin ninguna duda es buena compra. Y ms aun cuando el precio de salida al mercado de estos nuevos SSD son iguales o incluso menores a la anterior tecnologa.
En trminos de rendimiento este SSD NVMe se sita entre el 970 EVO PLUS y el 970 PRO, pero ms barato que los dos anteriormente mencionados.
Presa per sostituire l’ottima SSD Samsung 860 Evo con connettore Sata.
Questo modello da 500Gb con attacco Nvme formato 2280 velocissimo, inoltre c’ la possibilit di abilitare tramite il software Samsung Magician la modalit “Full Power Mode” che lascia sempre attiva l’M2 rendendola pi reattiva anche se nell’utilizzo “normale” ovvero non ludico non si nota la differenza.
Raggiunge 60/63 gradi di temperatura sotto stress utilizzando il dissipatore della MoBo!
Nell’utilizzo quotidiano ovvero navigando in internet o utilizzando un programma di videoscrittura la temperatura si attesta attorno ai 45 gradi.
Il Test stato eseguito con il software Crystal Disk Mark impostando il “temp file” su 1Gb e su 16Gb utilizzando la seguente configurazione hardware: CPU intel i5 7400 – Ram DDR4 16Gb 2400 Mhz – GPU Evga Nvidia GTX 1060 – MB Asus Strix B250i.
Per il momento mi sento pienamente soddisfatto, se ci saranno problemi in futuro aggiorner la recensione.

Mi sembra un poco pi lento del 970 che comprai a settembre del 2020. Non sono un tecnico specializzato in test di performance ma a me per qualche test fatto di lettura e scrittura mi “sembra” leggermente pi lento ma in totale un buon SSD che messo nel supporto Asus ne fa una pennetta HD per tutti i gusti.
Ottimo SSD,la velocit di lettura e scrittura sono straordinarie e le temperatura soltanto appena superiori a T ambiente,rispetto alla precedente generazione (970evo plus)offre prestazioni migliorate nelle letture casuali a 4KiB e in scrittura.Probabilmente il migliore nel mercato odierno per la sua fascia di prezzo!

I like the Samsung 980 pro PCIe4 and this seemed a good pairing in a second PCIe3 slot for games, bought when on offer in the Spring sale it has proved a bargain, exactly the speeds advertised so not disappointed at all.
Replaced older (slower) SSD with Samsung 980. Was a hassle as windows was installed on older one.
Have only one pci nvme port.
Samsung Mirroring software (to be downloaded) didn’t help replacing straight forward, though cloning more or less was ok.
So first have to boot windows cmd from recovery. Do formatting of new one using format command. (AND PLZ DO CLONING as backup is required later on). Issue was Windows 10 was going into recovery. I guess this is because of the socket of SSD was different and hence driver and speed.
So downloaded a windows 10 copy from Microsoft website. Created a bootable usb. Booted through usb and installed windows on the new cloned 980 SSD.
…AND HERE YOU GO… windows 10 is newly installed. all your program will go away. But the data remains from cloning.
If you disable all other boot devices except primary windows boot drive (i.e. 980), windows 10 will boot in 2-3 seconds.

I am using 1tb ssd for acer nitro 7 along with 256 gb ssd (os) and 1 tb hdd which comes with the laptop. No issues. Smooth and fast. Games load way faster than hdd.

estaba dudando entre este y el WD Black SN850, que lo llegu a probar por 185, un precio inmejorable, pero finalmente me qued con el Samsung 980 Pro aunque me cost 226, por la temperatura. Todos mis discos son WD, pero el Black SN850 estaba siempre en torno a los 55 grados, est en el rango aceptable, pero para mi cuanto menos se caliente mejor, el Samsung suele estar en 44 grados de media.
Sobre el rendimientos lectura/escritura, el WD es ms rpido, 6990/5190 por los 6730/4919 del Samsung. A menor volumen de tareas secuenciales el WD era muy superior en la escritura.
I purchased this as it is good value on “Deal of the day” for a 1TB drive at 95. I wanted to see if could act as a boot drive on a Mac Pro 5,1 as the initial firmware on the 970 Evo Plus did not allow booting from it on a Mac Pro 5,1. It worked as a boot drive just fine with the firmware that came pre installed, read speeds are similar to the 970 Evo Plus at around 1600MB/s read/write (That’s the limit on these older Macs on a single PCIE adapter).
A modern PC will see the full potential of this SSD up around 3500MB/s, but for a Mac Pro 5,1 I’m pleased with the performance and price, which is on par with the 970 Evo/Evo Plus, for less money per GB.
Works as expected. In spite of the fact that it is Dram-less, it gives steller performance as far as PCIe Gen 3 goes. You won’t get better performance at this price.
Product it self is good the samsung clone software on the other hand is horrendous and spoiled the experience with the product. Tried every trick I could find online to get it to work and it refused to write to the Samsung drive. A little bit slower than the drive it replaced my corsair 510 but overall decent performance.
I brought this SSD on 13 March 2021 for Rs. 4199 for my Lenovo Ideapad 330s, which had become unbearably slow due to a terrible HDD that was just not capable enough of running it smoothly.
The installation process was simple. Samsung’s Data Migration software works like magic, and all you need to do is make sure that you’re booting from your SSD.
Note – Screw, which holds the SSD in place, isn’t provided in the box, which every SSD selling company should provide by now. Feels weird that it isn’t standard by now, but if you don’t have spare laptop screws lying around your house like me, then it’s definitely something to keep in mind.

Vi racconto la mia esperienza d’uso. L’ho comprato per sostituire un SSD su un PC ormai datato (componenti del 2015) su cui far girare il sistema operativo. Appena tolto dalla scatola l’ho subito montato sul PC, e tramite un software di clonazione ho copiato l’attuale SSD su quello nuovo. Al riavvio ho modificato le priorit sul BIOS scegliendo l’interfaccia M.2 e il PC si avviato una prima volta con tempi normali (al primo avvio su un nuovo HD windows fa delle operazioni sue per adattarsi). Il secondo avvio stato “wow”, tempi nettamente inferiori, purtroppo non li ho misurati, ma la reattivit si vista immediatamente.
Il primo test che ho allegato si riferisce a questa situazione: SSD nuovo su PC datato, risultato ottimo, ma non perfetto. L’SSD risultava comunque castrato a circa la met del suo potenziale. A questo punto mi sono deciso a rinnovare anche scheda madre e processore.
Il cambio dei componenti stato gestito perfettamente da windows 10, non stato necessario formattare e una volta terminata l’installazione il risultato quello del secondo test: velocit raddoppiate. Adesso l’SSD sta girando al suo pieno potenziale.
I dati sono piuttosto realistici perch non ho preso i tempi a SSD nuovo e appena collegato, ma li ho presi mentre il sistema operativo girava su quello stesso SSD, vi posso assicurare che il risultato eccezionale.
I benefici di questo SSD si vedono ovunque: avvio velocissimo, caricamento dei programmi pressocch immediato, caricamento dei giochi dimezzato, l’esperienza d’uso del PC migliorata in modo sostanziale.
Se non vi preoccupa spendere qualche euro in pi, e neanche molti, questo il meglio che si pu trovare attualmente sul mercato consumer. Dovrete per anche valutare se il vostro PC in grado di sfruttare le velocit di questo SSD.
Die IOPS sind der eigentlich relevante Wert, denn was an einem Computer gemacht wird, sind so Dinge wie Programme starten, im Internet surfen etc. Das sind Ttigkeiten, die keine groen Daten bewegen, sondern viele sehr kleine.
Im Gegensatz dazu ist der klassisch angegebene Read/Write Speed (3,5 GiB/s und mehr) ein Wert, der nur erreicht wird, wenn eine EINZELNE Datei verschoben wird. So ein Workload ist sehr untypisch und fr viele Arbeitsszenarien ein irrelevanter Wert. Trotzdem wird komischerweise immer mit diesem geworben.
Beim Kopieren vieler einzelner Dateien, also typischen Ordnern mit z.B. Bildern, Musik etc. komme ich weder mit der 970 EVO Plus noch mit der 980 Pro weit ber 1 GiB/s raus. Hier zeigen beide SSDs hnliche Performance.
Im Vergleich zu einer 970 EVO Plus habe ich etwa 30% schnellere IOPS bekommen. Das ist – simpel gesagt – die Schreib/Leseleistung, wenn viele sehr kleine Dateien geschrieben werden.
Wenn ich nun die 980 Pro an einen PCIe 3.0-Bus anschliee, erreiche ich zwar weiterhin nur maximale 3,5 GiB/s, die IOPS erhhen sich aber trotzdem.
In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass die IOPS der einzig relevante und sprbare Parameter ist, sehe ich die Diskussion, ob eine 980 Pro an einen PCIe-4.0 Bus gehrt, als rein akademisch an.
Und wenn wir schonmal beim spren sind: Selbst beim besten Willen konnte ich keinen Unterschied zwischen 970 EVO Plus und 980 Pro mehr erkennen. Problematisch ist, dass die 970 EVO Plus schon so dermaen schnell ist, dass Programme im Millisekundenbereich ffnen. Ich kann es leider nicht mehr erkennen, ob ein Programm jetzt in 0,7 Sekunden oder in 0,9 Sekunden ffnet. Und selbst wenn, wrde das fr mich keinen Mehrwert bedeuten.
Fazit: Die 980 Pro ist eine ganz fantastische M.2 SSD, die hlt was sie verspricht. Ihr Hauptproblem ist, dass der Unterschied zur 970 EVO Plus nur noch im Labor bestimmt werden kann, denn die EVO Plus ist ebenfalls schon eine hervorragende SSD. Einen Unterschied erfhlen tut man bei den Karten nicht.
Insofern kann eine 980 Pro ausschlielich Menschen empfohlen werden, denen Datenblattdaten wichtig ist (man nennt sie seit einiger Zeit Enthusiasten).
Allen anderen sei wrmstens ans Herz gelegt, eine 970 EVO (Plus), 960 oder sogar nur eine 860 zu kaufen. Ich verspreche dir, einen Unterschied wirst du nicht merken.
Meine bevorzugte M 2 war leider in der Black Friday Woche sofort vergriffen, so dass ich neu berlegen musste was nun das richtige fr mich ist.
Da ich bereits eine Samsung 840 SSD seit Jahren zuverlssig im Einsatz habe, dachte ich mir die neue 980 Pro M 2 knnte doch eine gute Wahl werden….
UND DAS WAR ES AUF JEDEN FALL!
Das Teil ist so unglaublich schnell, Programme ffnen sich SOFORT, nichts in meinem Rechner kommt irgendwie hinterher (Ryzen 5 3600XT, Corsair 32GB 3600Mhz ASUS ROG STRIX B550 F, RX590 (ja kommt bald neu)SSD Western Digital, SSD 840 Samsung, 500GB WD Blue, 250Mbit DSL ) .
Es ist wirklich unglaublich. Hitzeprobleme konnte ich keine bemerken , luft bei dieser Konfiguration bis 22GB Schreiben immer unter 40 Grad. Schtze durch die immense Geschwindigkeit kommts gar nicht erst zur Hitzeentwicklung, 22 GB sind nichts fr die M 2!
Dauerbelastung kann ich nichts dazu sagen, soweit bin ich noch nicht. Aber eins noch : Die komplette WIN 10 Neuinstallation vom USB 3 Stick hat keine 10 Minuten gedauert…. 🙂
Von mir eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.
UPDATE 18.01.2021 – Nach nun knapp 2 Monaten PS5 Gebrauch, hat Sony die Freigabe immer noch nicht erteilt. Es ist zunehmend immer mehr zu lesen, das die Probleme der PS5 auch mit der Khlung des intern verbauten SSD Speichers zutun haben knnten. Der Support sagt das die Ursache der PS5 Abstrze nicht geklrt ist, das aber auch ein Hardwareproblem nicht ausgeschlossen werden kann. Die Freigabe des zustzlichen SSD Spots, scheint bei Sony derzeit keine Prioritt zu besitzen. Ich muss daher jetzt den ungenutzten Speicher versiegelten in OVP wieder zurck senden. rgerlich aber ich mchte natrlich auch nicht 200 ungenutzt hier weiter liegen lassen. Vielleicht bekommt man bald auch den 2 TB Speicher und Sony hat dann die Zertifizierung fertig.
Schaut man sich die Spezifikation dieser NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD an, dann sollte das genau der vorbehaltlich genannten Spezifikation fr die PS5 entsprechen. Doch Sony hat bisher noch keine Freigabe bzw. Empfehlung fr iregendwelche NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD verffentlicht. Warum nur? Gibt es noch Probleme?
Vielmehr haben sie bisher zum Launch der Konsole (USA 12.11.2020) den Erweiterungsport in der Firmware deaktiviert und sagen das dieser zu einem spteren Zeitpunkt mit einem Firmware Update aktiviert werden wird.
Im Bereich der externen Datenspeicher die ber USB angeschlossen werden, kommt es zurzeit immer wieder zu Problemen bei der Datenorganisation. Ist die interne Mglichkeit der zustzlichen SSD davon auch betroffen?
Ich lasse vorbehaltlich den hier erworbenen SSD Speicher in der org. versiegelten Packung, damit ich ihn notfalls wieder zurckgeben kann. Das Datum der sptesten Zurckgabe ist der 31.01.2020. Falls Sony vorher den SSD Slot freischalten sollte und sie diesen Speicher als valide verifizieren, werde ich ihn einbauen und hier berichten, ob er das hlt was Sony geplant hat.
1TB ist aber leider nicht viel, angemessen am externen Speicher welchen ich an meiner PS4 Pro angeschlossen habe.
Das Konzept, welches Xbox SX/SS mit der externen Speicherkarte fhrt finde ich fr Benutzer tauglicher, zu mal man dieses Karten auch mal schnell austauschen kann. Das htte Sony vielleicht auch besser lsen knnen, aber so ist man nicht auf einen Anbieter angewiesen und hat so die Wahl wo man bei wem zu welchem Preis kauft. Bei MS gibt es zurzeit diese Erweiterung nur von Seagate.
Ich erwarte, dass der Speicher bereits im nchsten Jahr preiswerter wird, aber meine Erwartungen haben sich nicht immer erfllt. Ist der Speicher knapp dann gehts in die andere Richtung.
Ich habe die SSD (SSD 980 PRO 250GB M.2) der Firma Samsung einen ausfhrlichen Test unterzogen:
Laut Hersteller soll die SSD eine Lesegeschwindigkeit von 6400 MB/s und eine Schreibgeschwindigkeit von 2700 MB/s haben.
Laut meinem Test mit AS SSD Benchmark und anderen Tools (siehe Screenshots) kommt man auf folgende gemessene Werte:
Seq-Lesen: 5279 MB/s
Seq-Schreiben: 2537 MB/s
4K-Lesen: 77 MB/s
4K-Schreiben: 173 MB/s
4K-64Thrd-Lesen: 1884 MB/s
4K-64Thrd-Schreiben: 2480 MB/s
Zugriffszeit-Lesen: 0.022 ms
Zugriffszeit-Schreiben: 0.125 ms
Der AS SSD-Score betrgt 6542 Punkten.
CrystalDiskMark hingegen liefert die von Samsung oben genannten Werte.
Noch schnellere soll brigens die 512GB bzw. 1TB Platte sein.
E’ vero costa caro, ma le novit purtroppo si pagano. Alla fine comunque un altro ssd pcie 4.0 costa sempre sulle 200/220 euro.
Niente da dire sulle prestazioni, semplicemente il top. Spero nella durata.

With surprise I read the Italian reviewer who didn’t like this drive’s performance. A bit of checking and I found that his laptop doesn’t support the PCIE 4.0 interface. Please make sure your CPU and motherboard both support PCI-E 4 or you will be disappointed. Also make sure to install the Magician software from the Samsung site, it really makes this run at top speed. I don’t use benchmarks much, preferring to ‘feel’ if the device works more quickly. I noticed boot times are a couple of secs faster but it really comes into its own if you transfer lots of large files to and from it.
My only negative – and it’s a tiny negative – is that these run hot if you don’t get a heatspreader and or fan on it.
2021.12: Update
Das Online Backup meines Systems meldete pltzlich defekte Blcke… Ein kurzer Blick in die Windows Events zeigt eine Meldung an: “ID 7, DeviceHarddisk0DR0 has a bad block” und damit war dann auch Ende. Zum eine fr die Platte, zum anderen fr das Backup. Die Datenkorruption hatte wieder gnadenlos zugeschlagen.
Erkannt wurden die Fehler im Tool “Samsung Magician” erst im “Full Scan”, alle anderen Analysen zeigten bis auf das Error-Log keine Fehler.
Der Umtausch war etwas Umstndlich, viele Bilder von der SSD machen und an eine Email anhngen. Spter erneutes hochladen in einem Online Portal… Der Pickup vor Ort kahm nie, aber die Retoure war nach 4 Tagen da.
Wrde ich nochmal kaufen? Ja, mangels Alternativen…
2020.09: Rezension
Die Samsung 980 PRO ersetzt bei mir die originale SSD MZVLB256HAHQ in einem Lenovo T480s.
Auch wenn Sie in diesem Laptop nur mit PCIe 3.0 statt PCIe 4.0 angebunden ist, ergibt sich im Benchmark eine im Schnitt 50% bis 100% schnellere bertragungsrate.
Was fr mich jedoch viel wichtiger ist und besonders aufflt, ist die Geschwindigkeit beim ffnen von Programmen. Was frher 5-10 Sekunden gedauert hat, ist jetzt in 1-2 Sekunden erledigt. Zusammengefasst, Ich wrde die Samsung 980 PRO sofort wieder kaufen.
Die Werte der beiden Grafiken sind von der Samsung 980 Pro mit Crystal Disk Mark 7.0.0, jeweils im Profil Real und Default.
Mit dieser SSD habe Ich meinen Rechner jetzt auf ein noch hheres Level geschraubt.Mit dem ASUS TUF Gaming
550 Plus Mainboard sowie einen Ryzen 7 3700X und einer RTX 2070 Super laufen meine Anwendungsprogramme
in der Bild sowie Videobearbeitung nocheinmal auf einer Ebene die ich wohl so nicht erwartet htte.
Die 980 PRO ist geradedazu ausgelegt fr solche Arbeiten.
Man fhlt sich richtig gut dabei dieses Geld investiert zu haben.
