Use it for storing audiobooks and movies hope it will not fill up too fast just transferred 3 full 16gb usb to it.
The transfer is slow though. So while doing it you can probably watch an episode of a series or something while it does its thing.
Prompt delivery. Appears to be a SSD storage device as no audible moving hard disk noise – or is extremely quiet unlike an older competitor 1TB external disk. Bought as part of daughter’s Christmas present to back up her gaming PC and a laptop so daughter very happy.
I Used this to add extra storage to my Xbox series s unfortunately you can’t run new gen games off it but older Xbox One games work no problem (this is a Xbox issue not the Hard Drive).
It’s all plastic, very light and feels cheaply made. The important thing though is that it works. Also is very simple to add the HDD and the tool needed (screwdriver) comes with it.
I added 4 little rubber feet to sit it on my desktop.
I would recommend it.
Only just received it so will update this review later but my first impression is… not silent.
If you want a really quiet drive this is it, it’s not noisy by any means but there’s a definite audible whisper going on which if you have an M1or greater Mac your likely used to complete silence.
I’m using it for Time Machine backup (you’ll need to reformat the drive which is trivial) so will place it out of the way so I can’t hear it.
