Happy with this fan..
Not silent, but not noisy and certainly bearable.
Our fan really does move the air around the room, to the point that I’ve pointed it at an open door of the house to help circulation.

It’s difficult to give an accurate review at this point as I’ve only had the fan for a short time.
I think the secret to making these fans last is to keep them away from the centre or the flue area.
UPDATE – Lasted less than a year, 11 months to be exact, pity because it works a treat, and that’s with it placed away from centre.
Bought this as a replacement for a compact fan on our small log burner, which is in a recess. This fan fits within the limited space available. It is much more effective at blowing warm air into the room, than our old one. You can feel the warm air being blown out. Having bigger fan blades you do get a louder hum from it, but it’s not intrusive. I am happy with it.
