I bought this chopping machine for my husband as he was always slicing parts of his fingers while chopping. This machine chops fruit and vegtables safely and uses different sizes depending on what you wish to use your vegtables for. He is very pleased with it.
Ok so i do quite a bit of cooking and standard mandolines freak me as I’m quite fond of my palms. So i got one of these which does fit together and does do the trick.
I have been looking for a carrot grater that doesn’t break my wrist, doesn’t travel over the worktop and doesn’t grate my fingers. THIS IS IT! At last I can make my carrot cake without dreading grating the carrots. It’s not cheap, but it’s not expensive either, and worth every penny. Forget all the others (I’ve tried them and they don’t work, and they end up in my charity shop bag). This is the real deal.
Can slice potatoes nice and thin. I thought it would dice but a bit disappointed to find you have to slice the onion then feed back in to dice. However, I’m still happy with it as slicing is very quick and saves time.
Super Easy to put together , instructions are very clear, and very simple to take apart to clean.
It cuts everything well, even tomatoes. The tray to catch the cut vegetables is very useful and will designed.
What I really like is the safety element. at no point is the blade anywhere near fingers, and you can safely use this in your kitchen.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the price. It is very expensive.
First impression is that of a Lakeland product, good quality plastic and very sturdy. Gave it a good wash, assembled and tried it on cucumber slices first. Very smooth in operation and very accurate. Adjustable slice dial at the back and by making other adjustments to the guide I think it can make battons from carrots and potatoes although I have not tried that yet. I can say that this is a product that all kitchens should have. Easy to disassemble and clean, folds flat for storage. The instructions are in converted Chinese to English and very poorly written which is all that lets down a brilliant product, so I cannot work out if its dishwasher safe, so I’ll just hand wash it, no biggy.
Anyway, buy one of these gadgets, it’s brilliant, massive thumbs up from me.
