What can I do when my wired link is unsuccessful?
1. Check if the graphics card meets the wired link requirements.
2. Try restarting the computer.
3. Check if the headset is on low power. If yes, please keep the headset power enough and try again.
4. Check the computer’s USB 3.0 driver and graphics card driver updates, and ensure that the PC software and Quest3/2 are updated to the lastest.
5. Make sure the cable is into all available USB 3.0/3.1 ports and is connected directly to the computer without extra adapters or hubs.
6. Check if Air Link is turned off. If it is not turned off, the wired link performance will be affected.
Pay attention:
If you want to charge your Quest3/2 while playing, the charging capability and overall speed will depend on the quality of your motherboard and your pc power supply. Many motherboard USB ports don’t output as much power as the standalone chargers.

Does what it should
Bought this when the last one got worn out after a couple months this one seems to hold up better but it’s only been a month either way it works just as good and seems to b more durable all in all worth i
Solid cable, good value.
Works well with the Quest 3 headset. It has a good range and can be held in place during movement games like Beat Saber. You can extend your playtime by using the power adapter that came from your Quest headset, but you won’t get enough power to run your headset from your PC because the battery will slowly drain whilst running applications.
Syntech Link Cable
Well made feels heavy duty Works well allows approximately double the game time
Would be better if it had attachment straps as the cable is thick and heavy so overtime I can possibly see stress points occurring around the headset connection point also if playing alone could be a potential tripping hazard when using for fitness routines or other vigorous activities ideal for stationary tasks like watching movies and apps that require little moveme
I initially could not get this cable to work with my Quest 3 so arranged a return. After reading a guide on the internet I did manage to get it to work. If this helps anyone else
Install the Oculus App on the PC, and update it. Make sure your Quest is updated. Start the Oculus App on your PC. Turn on your headset. Make sure Air Link is disabled. Plug the cable into your PC. Plug the cable into your headset. Put on your headset and allow access. The Quest should now be connected to your PC. (Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements). I’ve tried this successfully on two different computers via a USB 3.1 type-C, and a normal USB 3.0.
As for the cable itself, it is thicker and heavier than I thought it would be. The included Velcro strap is useful for taking strain away from the port on the headset. My preference is to play without the cable, but for games that require it this cable is great, and a fraction of the cost of the official one. It also extends play times: it didn’t charge the headset whilst I way playing, but the battery drained more slowly. For 20 it’s a great accessory.
Type C Cable
15 feet cable has a long reach, I use it for my meta 3 headset.
Probably not the cable’s fault that it doesn’t charge while the headset is on just slowly depletes the battery instead so good enough I guess. The bigger problem is the weight of the cable could be on the heavier side and for such a long cable maybe more than one cable tied?
Haven’t fully tested the transfer spped of the cable out yet just been using it as a charging cable so can’t comment on that.
4/5
Good quality cable
I have been using the Syntech Link Cable for a couple of weeks now and has truly made my VR experience better, and it stands out as a must-have accessory for Meta/Oculus Quest 3/2 users. The 16FT length provides generous room for movement without compromising on performance.
The standout feature is its versatility. Whether I’m connecting to Meta Quest, Oculus Quest 2, or interfacing with PC/Steam VR, this cable seamlessly adapts to the task at hand. The inclusion of a USB 3.0 adapter ensures high-speed data transfer, a crucial element for a smooth and immersive virtual reality experience.
The build quality of the Type C cable is commendable. It’s not only robust but also flexible, allowing for easy maneuverability without the worry of wear and tear. The added length proves especially useful for those who prefer a bit more freedom in their VR setup.
Charging the VR headset during use is a breeze with this cable, eliminating interruptions due to low battery concerns. The quick and stable data transfer enhances the overall performance of VR applications, from gaming to productivity.
I appreciate the attention to detail in the design. The connectors are secure, and the cable manages to be both durable and lightweight. The result is a tangle-free and reliable connection, whether I’m in the midst of an intense gaming session or exploring virtual worlds.
In conclusion, the Syntech Link Cable is a game-changer for VR enthusiasts. Its compatibility, length, and high-speed capabilities make it an essential accessory for anyone seeking an enhanced Meta/Oculus Quest 3/2 experience. If you value quality, performance, and reliability in your VR setup, this cable is a solid investment. Highly recommended.
Good cable for the money
Bought this for my Quest3.
A very good quality cable, the connectors are solid and the actual cable seems well suited for being thrashed around the room for use with VR.
Worked perfectly with my Quest3 in the front room and plenty of length to use in a larger space.
I really recommend you use the included Velcro style strap to attach the cable to the headset and take the strain off the USB socket on the headset. This is an absolute must as you will quickly break the socket if you don’t take the strain elsewhere.
Rarely leave reviews but spent so long looking for a cable which kept my Q3 charged and worked with Oculus Link for PCVR. This 100% works with Link. I’m guessing those who have had issues are not plugging it into a Thunderbolt 4 port on their mobo. Have been using a standard type A to C cable since getting the Q3 and the power drain was too much to keep the thing alive. Just played an hour of DCS starting at 100% and ended at 94% which is amazing. Easily enough for a good sesh. TB4 port is a must though! 10/10 product.
Check your PC specs before ordering this (or any other link cable including the official one!)
I originally gave this a poor review because when using it connected to my Desktop PC I found that the battery in my Quest 3 drained FAST, but I have now edited my review because the reason for my battery drain was that I didn’t read the product description properly before ordering!
The seller replied to my review and kindly pointed out why I was experiencing the battery drain. It turns out that it’s because the USB C port in the back of my PC (which is part of an RTX 2080 grapics card) doesn’t support Thunderbolt 4, and it does clearly say in the product description for this cable that charging is not possible without the Thunderbold 4 interface.
Fortunately I do also have a gaming laptop with an RTX 3070, which does have Thunderbolt 4 support. When I tried it on that I had a much better experience. I wouldn’t say it was ‘charging’ while gaming as there was still a very slight battery drain, but it was nowhere near as bad as with my desktop – I’d say it lost about 5% battery over half an hour, so you should still be able to get a nice long gaming session with this cable if you start off with a fully charged headset. 🙂
I got this cable as I’ve been looking for a good way to connect my Oculus Quest 2 to my PC, mostly for sim-racing. I’ve tried other cables before, but they’ve always either been too short, or not provided a fast enough connection. This product is an extremely well built cable, with a very long length, so even if my sim rig is about 5ft away from my PC, it’s absolutely no problems. I also like to have the peace of mind that you can move your head and stuff without the worry that you’re going to yank the cable.
Because of the long length, it comes with a small velcro tie so that you can ensure that any extra cable is tidied appropriately. I find this quite handy as I always want my gaming setup to be organised.
The quality of the cable and the connectors feel very good overall, especially the 90″ connector that goes on the headset. Not having it sticking out is definitely a plus.
For connectivity, this product comes with a USB-C to USB-C connection by default, but a USB-C to USB-3 adapter is included. However, when the USB-3 adapter is connected, the whole thing seems to be a bit… flexible. I’ve noticed as the cable moves, so does the adapter, so it doesn’t feel too sturdy. You can see how the adapter connection isn’t too straight on the picture I’ve attached on my review.
On a different note, I’ve tried using the USB-3 to USB-C adapter inside of a USB-3 socket, but the connection speeds didn’t reflect that of a USB-3 connection after testing in the Oculus App. This was fixed after I removed the adapter and connected the cable directly into a Type-C port, where the connection speeds practically improved by 7x. I’m not sure if this was just a fault of my computer’s, or it was the adapter.
Overall though this is quite an amazing cable and definitely worth the price, just worth taking into consideration about the connection speeds using the adapter.
