I needed this for hospital as I was going to have to lay flat for some time. I only used it for my phone, but its been great. Easy to fit and move around. I would definitely recommend, although I haven’t tried with a tablet other than a switch. It seems you just need to make sure everything is screwed tightly, then it will hold its position well.

I bought this back in February nearly a year ago and I have used it every day since!
It’s so handy, I have my ipad attached to it most evenings, where I can use it to read, stream or play PS5 remotely in bed. I also have attached my switch to it and it really improves my posture so I’m not constantly looking down at a book / game etc. I also use a page turner so I can position my ipad so I can lie down and read!

It did come off the bracket at one point but we have screwed it back together. I think its pretty sturdy for the price and certainly worth it for me. Will it last forever, not likely but fairly good at this price point.
Down point for me is the lack of flexibility to move it anywhere else really, it is only really good to attach to the headboard, so I think I might need a different type for other places.

It is a bit noisey and rigid as well so there are limitations to the positions and I would recommend oiling it!

Was a little sceptical of it holding the weight of my tablet at first because of how thin and lightweight the arm seems, but it works well. I won’t be changing the angle of the tablet but I will be swinging the arm around depending on my laying positions when I’m watching videos so I don’t see this failing any time too soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holds the weight of my Samsung Galaxy 9 Ultra tablet just fine

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis device generally works well attached to the headboard of a bed. If the headboard is low, as mine is, another inch in length of the sections would be helpful but for me it works, just. The ‘grippy’ silicone pads on the clamp work well and in fact make it hard to reposition the clamp. The post that slots into the clamp could be improved if it were shaped (grooved?j so that the screw stopped it being pulled out when adjusting rather than just locking in place — a common fault with all similar devices.
This support is best for viewing rather than operating a tablet as it moves when finger touches are applied, like all similar devices it’s not rigid.

Much better than the bendy type, heavier though. I like the way you can swing it completely out of the way from the very top when making the bed without disturbing the angle chosen. It’s a bit harder to position perfectly at first but once done it just requires minor angle changes of the part that holds the mobile or tablet. I recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis tablet holder replaced a 1 metre tubular holder I had for my bed. The old holder literally snapped at its base. This is much easier to set up and use. It hasn’t marked the head board and once set up to the correct height and distance, it is easy to push it out to either side without any great body movement or strength.

It can be easily adjusted by loosening any of the holding handles/screws. It’s grips on both ends feel secure and adjusting the tablet screen can be done without causing any great vibration. If the joint screws are properly tightened there’s hardly any movement. Two hands may be needed to support the main arm itself when adjusting the centre pivot to ensure excess pressure is not placed on the base. While I suspect this can be accomplished with one hand, better safe than sorry.
This is a far superior product to the one it replaced and I expect it to last some time. Good product.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSimply one of the best purchases I have made with 1 small flaw.

I spend a lot of time in bed and was looking for a solution to having to hold or prop up my tablet for long periods of time watching movies etc.

Once all fittings are tightened sufficiently it’s quite sturdy on the whole with 1 exception: where the tablet clamp attaches to the arm. If the tablet was not central, for example I wanted it rotated while lying down, it would slowly succumb to gravity and twist on its own. I overcame this with putting a small rubber O-ring inside the fitting between the steel ball of the arm and the plastic of the clamp.

    Now it’s perfect.
