Great quality Cornish gi
Great quality gin. Gin is my go-to drink. This is lighter with a soft fruit note especially when you compare this to something like Tanqueray which has a definite juniper alcoholic kick.
I’ve tried a few UK based gins (great to see we’re good at something) and when travelling I like to sample to local brands. I do recommend this with the Feverfew Med tonic – tonic does plays a big part in enhancing the flavour.
If you enjoy gin I’d highly recommended giving this one a try especially if you light a lighter, fresher tasting gin that is a true botanical, good environmental pedigree, home grown, award winning gin!
Really smooth.
My brother in law lives his gin. He’s tried quite a few types from all over the world. I wanted to buy him something that was made in the U.K. the bottle looks rest nice and the flavour is really good.
It now turns out that this is one of his favourite bottles of Gin.
I would recommend this to those connoisseurs of Gin.
This one is on my subscribe and save (although not too often) and over the last four years I have purchased 7 bottles for myself and one as a gift.
The price does fluctuate a bit and I have paid as low as 21.50 and as much as 30.00. Most often it is 28.50 which is a fair price for a quality gin.
Absolutely delicious!
I 1st tried this in a Fuller’s pub and since then I am hooked.. I ordered a bottle on A.Fresh shortly afterwards.. and now at the end of the bottle.. sad 🙁 This has to be one of the absolute best flavoured gins I have ever tasted.. the strawberry and lime is there.. but you still get that big punch of juniper and bitterness with also a fresh strawberry hit at the end.. so so well balanced unlike so many of the mass market fruity gins.. I am hooked.. please Tarquins don’t change a thing! & also I have an idea for a honey/mead gin next.. oh please do! ^_^ Thank you
subtle flavour that explodes
love this gin, it starts off subtle and then the flavours expose in your mouth – I have been drinking it for about three years I bought my first bottle just before COVID and been a fan since, saw the amazone deal and bought from here
Great gin. Extremely potent: up there with other Navy Strength gins at 57%, but no alcohol harshness. Very bright, clean flavour of citrus & pine. Very little sweetness making it surprisingly light on the palate. Highly recommended. Don’t let the high price put you off, this is worth treating yourself.
Tastes fantastic……(apparently)
Bought as a gift for a friend she stated it was delicious (she would have said if it wasn’t or given it back lol).
It’s not cheap but compared to other “posh” gins the price is on a par.
I was also told that the bottle and wax seal were stunning and it seemed a shame to open it!!
Can I just say!!!!!
I’ve always loved TARQUINS SEADOG ……but this is a shout out to to our delivery guy!!!! It was his last drop off & I’m sure he had a home to go to but there he was at 7pm on a horrible night in Cornwall!!! Hats off!
Very nice.
Decent, well flavoured gin with no overpowering additions.Good with a quality tonic. The bottle is attractive though a bit of a sod to open.Normally too expensive but well worth buying when on offer.

Ordered the BlackBerry and cornish honey gin only to find out it’s the same as BlackBerry and cornish wildflower honey gin only difference is price cornish honey is about 29 and wildflower honey gin is about 19 and I have been sent 3 bottles of the wildflower at 29 instead of 19 any chance a refund of the difference
Incredible Gi
Absolutely incredible gin. Me & my wife are regular gin drinkers, and we try many different bottles so feel we are well placed to give a review.
We have to say that this gin is quite spectacular. With a slice of grapefruit & a sprig of thyme it’s a truly joy to behold. It’s certainly up in the top 3 we have ever tried, and it is potentially the best.
I can’t give it higher praise, and if you’re debating on whether to buy a bottle – do it now – you won’t regret it 🙂
I love the product highly recommended Blackberry Gin tastes amazing with all mixers and on it’s own over ice.
I am still at a loss when everytime I order alcohol I have to produce my passport. I am 54 my partner is 57 and we have no children in the house who could possibly accept delivery. Other drinks companies do not ask for ID, it is not a prerequisite of the law, unless you are below the age of 25. I wouldn’t mind if I actually looked underage. Some people do not have a passport both my mother and mother in law are pensioners and neither have forms of ID or passports. Wouldn’t a simple signature to say you declare that you are over the legal age be acceptable. It does mean that I might have to use other companies in the future to buy my alcohol on line.
Treat yourself
This is my absolute favourite tipple. Have always been a gin fan, mainly Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray, but always partial to a Hendricks as well. Had my first Tarquins in a Rock Stein restaurant and this is my first bottle at home. I’m going to have to move to monthly subscription! Mix this with Mediterranean Fever tree tonic and a slice of orange, not lemon or lime. Feel that stressful day melt away. Yes it is expensive, but it is worth it, even the bottle is different class.
Tarquin’s Cornish Dry Gin had been on my list to try for the best part of a year, so when I got the message to say it was featured in Amazon’s new “Treasure Truck” I was delighted. As a disclaimer, I must admit when it comes to gin I am a bit of a traditionalist, I drink it only with tonic, no negronis or martinis for me.
Upon opening the box you’re greeted to a very classy looking bottle. The top has been wax sealed and little details like the Tarquin’s logo being embossed into the wax on the cap and the waves imprinted into the bottom of the bottle (representing the Cornish coast where this is distilled) makes you feel like you have a real premium spirit on your hands. I was a little surpsied and disappointed when I noticed the label, I thought I had received a dodgy bottle as it was stuck on wonky. This briefly dampened my mood but then I looked at the small leaflet attached to the bottle and realised this is actually what it is meant to look like. Head on, the label looks quite nicely slanted, but I must admit when looking at where the two ends of the label meet it does look a bit shoddy and out of place for such wonderful branding. This is, however, the only small downside.
Moving onto the gin itself. Look, I know most people aren’t looking for a deep explanation into the subtleties of this gin so what I will say is this. If you want a really good tasting gin that looks amazing, something to bring out on special occasions or when you have people over, look no further. This is a great gin, an all-rounder, and personally I don’t think you can go wrong.
As I mentioned I love a crisp, dry, refreshing gin and this didn’t disappoint. Botanicals used are Juniper, Coriander seeds, Orris root, Cadamon, Almost, Cinnamon, Liquorice Root, Orange peel, Lemon peel, Grapefruit peel, Violet. This isn’t the boldest juniper based gin you will try, the juniper is there but is somewhat hidden by the citrus that shines through, but it is very well balanced. At 42% it’s not going to blow your head off but at the same time you’ll know you’ve had a gin!
Price and availability mean this goes in my cabinet for when I want a nice gin. If I’m going to have 2 or 3 I’ll have something I can easily replace from the supermarket, I don’t want to plough through this, it’s one of my favourites.
