With two daughters, getting two of these writing tablets in one pack is great – no arguments or fights over it, they each have their own. I ordered these mainly for the youngest who only started school in September. They seemed like the ideal tool to help her learn to write and practice whenever she wanted. The other one mainly doodles, but she enjoys it.

The tablets are extremely lightweight and thin. You wouldn’t know they were in backpack – even if they were the one things in it. They are very simple, once up and running, you use the stylus that has it’s own little caddy (it just pops out) and you draw. Marking the screen produces a colourful line which is much nicer than just a single plain colour. Once you’ve finished, you just press the bin button on the front, and it wipes the whole screen clear.

These are great for car journeys or a quiet few minutes in the coffee shop. The only let down is the colour seems a little duller than others I have seen in shops. It’s still good, but not quite as vibrant.

These are great little devices, they only have one trick but they do it well. Because they are so lightweight I do worry they might break easily (bent in a busy backup, sat on by a careless father – that kind of thing) but at around 10 for two – you at least have a backup. Would recommend!

I’m very pleased with this pack of tablets for kids. Easy to use and very lightweight. My kids like to use it while doing thier homework or take it to car make some drawings. Perfect for traveling. It would be amazing for Christmas gift or birthday present. Great quality and value for money. Highly recommended

I loved my Magna Doodle from the previous century. This modern version has magic colours and uses a battery. The stylus pen has a cord to tie it to the pad so it does not get lost.

The lock button is on the back, but easy to accidentally pressing the erase button on the front when trying to operate the lock button.

I am using one as a notepad by the fridge and the other one will be a stocking filler toy this Xmas.

Only a tiny battery, but it is only used when erasing so should last a while.

These tablets are essentially the 21st century equivalent of those erasable cards most of us have used at some point during our lifetime. You use the stylus to draw whatever you want and it stays where it is until you decide to erase it. That’s done by pressing the button on the bottom and then you have a clean screen to use again.
They’re marketed as a toy but to be honest they could easily be used as message boards in the house. They’re incredibly light so they would probably even stick up with Blu tac or something similar. The stylus has a lanyard so it doesn’t get lost and so you’d have a never ending notepad on the fridge door or next to the phone. It doesn’t save what you’ve written and once you clear it whatever you’ve erased is gone for good, but it will stay there until you choose to clear it so it’s as secure as any other note taking option. If it’s an important note you can always use the lock switch which disables the erase function until you’re done with it.
I got these as a complementary review item, but my first thought is always to consider if I’d be happy spending my own money on whatever I’m reviewing. In the case of these devices I think they’re a bargain at 10 for two tablets, but currently they’re on offer at 50% off. That’s an absolute steal and I’m going to be buying a couple more for my grandkids as a stocking filler.
    Highly recommended.

These are very thin and lightweight, and not as robust as you might expect for a device marketed at kids, so only suitable for older more-sensible kids who won’t abuse it too much.

The battery is a very small CR1220. These are typically 35mAh so significantly smaller capacity that the CR2032 which are more commonly found in things and hold nearly 10x the energy, so I don’t expect the battery to last long.

The tablet itself is nice enough to write/draw on, and is useful for quick to-do lists etc when the kids aren’t using it themselves.

Despite the small battery capacity and lack of robustness, these are good value at the price (9.99 for a set of 2 at the time of review).

These writing pads are great, they are not too thin like some I have bought, the writing screen is a good size and it isn’t too bright, so it protects children’s eyes.
The pen is attached on a stretchy cord so not to get lost, these are really easy to thread on compared to most, as the hole is bigger on the pen. With the cord being stretchy, just be aware that for children under 3 it’s a potential choking hazard.
Children love to create and recreate marks and this gives them that opportunity, and they love pushing the button to erase their marks.
These writing pads are flat and easy to travel with and they are great entertainment for long car journeys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, great price!
