Works very reliably
This was a replacement for a multi-function adaptor which did HDMI, DVI and USB.
It works faultlessly so far.
The adaptor it replaced had a problem, where the display would go to sleep with the computer and then never wake up (the USB ports still worked though). The only way to fix it was to restart the PC.
Sometimes the simpler, single function apadtors are most relatable.
Works perfectly
Connected my new iPad to my TV perfectly. I do yoga classes via Zoom and this enables me to see the instructor and class much better than on a small screen.
Allows me to use two external screens with extended display
This little adapter is brilliant! I am able to use the adapter to connect one PC monitor and the normal HDMI slot on my laptop to connect another PC monitor. They work seamlessly – I can extend the displays so I can work off 3 separate screens (including my laptop screen) or even close my laptop and use two external screens with the adapter.
I’d been looking for a way to connect to two external screens on extend mode but was coming up with either pricey HDMI splitters or even more expensive laptop docking stations which was holding me back. For 8.50 it does exactly what a HDMI splitter or dock would do for me – and what’s great is it’s so small that I can take it with me to the office and use back at home.
Our laptop docks in the office aren’t always compatible in with some laptops so it works as a brilliant and seamless alternative. For reference my laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad.

Bought this to plug my USB C iPad into my TV, for those occasions when airplay just won’t work. Yup, it’s a pain having to plug you iPad into the telly, but this adaptor worked instantly and now we can watch those hard-to-get vids on platforms which just don’t seem to facilitate a wireless connection!
Works only with devices that support USB 3.1 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 3
I bought this to use with a Dell Precision 5530 2-in-1 laptop which only has USB C ports. Initially I thought this connector wasn’t working because there was no picture on the external display when connected via the USB ports on the right hand side. However it did work when plugged in to the USB ports on the left hand side. Checking the specs of the laptop, the left hand side connectors are Thunderbolt 3 while those on the right are USB 3.1 Gen 1. The help leaflet that comes with the connector specifies that only USB 3.1 Gen 2 is supported, but this is not explained on the product page (at least not at time of writing).
I’ve knocked a star off for not being compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1. Otherwise this works very well.
After connecting the HDMI + HDMI converter from my iPad (source in) to the monitor (source out), there is just visual image clearly mirroring to the monitor, but there is no audio out from my iPad / monitor (indeed there is no built-in speaker). However, when I connect my laptop to the same monitor with another HDMI cable, the audio can be put from my laptop

This adapter is well made, looks quality and is very well priced. It also comes with a lifetime warranty which is very impressive!
Great with HP ENVY x360 13.3" Laptop (13-ay0504sa)
This little adaptor worked like a charm within seconds on my HP ENVY x360 13.3″ Laptop (13-ay0504sa).
Considering the relatively low price, and so many ‘negative’ reviews for similar products, I was sceptical – but with a 2 seller discount voucher, an outlay of 8 made it seem worth the ‘risk’ !
It is well made with an aluminium case.
Immediately recognised by my Windows 10 setup, it appears to be fully-functional as the HMDI-connected TV shows as a second device in Windows Setup – allowing for all the system ‘tweaks’.
Don't waste your money on others - buy this!
Having bought three other products off Amazon to find none of them worked for any more than 3 months, I bought this. Fourteen months on it still functions perfectly. Don’t waste your money on any others, I’d recommend this one!
Works perfectly
Bought this to add a third monitor to my Macbook Pro (as apple still doesn’t support multi-stream DisplayPort passthrough, so while one dock is fine for windows or Linux, I need three with my work mac). It works perfectly plugged directly into the Mac. It’s recognized quicker than some others without the need to sleep/wake up like is sometimes necessary. Gives a good picture and sound quality if you connect it to a TV. I’ve also used it with my Galaxy S21 and it worked perfectly with that as well. Feels nice and sturdy with the metal connections and braided wire. Even has a nice little light to show you it’s connected. Extremely good value for money.

Does what it says on the tin. Bear in mind however, if using a MacBook Air M1 with a high refresh rate monitor and an “extended screen” as I am, you need to change the refresh rate from 72hz to 60hz in settings. Otherwise it seems to flash on and off. I don’t know if this is an issue with the MacBook or the adapter, but it works perfectly at 60hz.

Bought this adaptor for my new MacBook Air. Upon the first arrival the cable was slightly faulty. I’ve contacted the company (they promise a lifetime warranty) and they have responded and sent out a replacement super quickly! 🙂 I’ve received the replacement and it works perfectly! Bought for daughter who loved the easiness of the connection, just connect the cables and off you go. Would recommend making sure your hdmi cable is long enough to place your device somewhere safe as connector is 20cm long. Picture quality is mirror image (depending on your tv settings).
Affordable and The Best !
I needed it for my MacBook air to connect to our TV at church – it’s lightweight, strong and works so good.
I’ve had others that allow other connections i.e charger lead, usb etc, but they didn’t go into the laptop as well as this one those.

Amazon’s asked me did this meet my expectations? It’s done far more than that – this is quite simply the best USB-C to HDMI adapter I have ever owned. Admittedly, it is the only one, but sometimes you just know you’ll never have better.
Picture quality when using the adapter is, if anything, even better than it is on the source device. The physical entry of the HDMI lead into the adapter is so smooth, yet it fits like a glove. The durable flex lead would I’m sure take some punishment before showing the slightest signs of wear and tear – I however treat my uni adapter with the upmost care so cannot comment first hand.
I’ve since bought 30 more of these, the plan is to give them to friends and family as birthday presents this year. First on the list was my gran, she doesn’t actually have any need for USB-C to HDMI adaption per se, but she’s put it on the mantle and has told me it’s a really great talking point when she has friends round.
Would highly recommend this product.
