I wanted a traditional nativity scene for Christmas and this is perfect. This will last for generations. It comes as seen in photo with only Mary, Joseph and Jesus moveable. Stylish simplicity.
Perfect for mantle piece as it is narrow. I also have the matching large Christmas tree which looks wonderful beside it.
If there is a light shining towards them, they cast a beautiful silhouette shadow on the wall behind them and the reflective mirrored steel catches the light nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful nativity scene

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOf Wonder !

Oh, how fabulous. It doesn’t really matter from which angle you view this lovely nativity scene as it looks fantastic. Indeed, I’d go further as no photo of mine that I might include with my review could possibly do it justice. It is the perfect antidote to these strange, cruel and dark covid times and signals brighter days to come.
It is beautifully made from high quality stainless/chromed steel and is just the right thickness and proportions. It has the ability to harness whatever light is available to it — a bit like a star of the screen seeking the best camera vantage — and to use this to the utmost. I love the way the whole thing has been brought together and even the cut-outs of the wise men and animals seem to enhance the depth and the shadow and its handling of the light — topped off with the golden central figures of course. Forgive me for repeating myself but it has a lovely weight and feel to it and your eye will not only be drawn to it once but again and again and you’ll find yourself reaching tentatively to see if it could possibly be real or if it is some sort of apparition.
We bought this for our daughter who is moving out, having bought her own house. Some years ago, at the age of 16 she came down for breakfast and asked us if we’d be offended if she went to church and since then she has been a regular attender even at university and when working in the US. We thought this would make a perfect present for her although her house has been delayed until after Christmas. I hesitated more than once over its purchase as I knew she wouldn’t be able to use it before next Christmas but I then realised she’d like it so much that she’d happily put it in her bedroom and even wait until next year.
More than this, religion or otherwise, this is the type of ornament/display that will look as good in 50 years’ time as it does today and it struck us that as she places it each year she’ll think of us even though of course one day we won’t be there to see her do such and eventually if she has children of her own they will go through this too.
This is the point then, regardless of whether we view it as a simple ornament or of something having deeper religious significance — the sentiments with which it is given along with those who gave it will move through time with it: as long as people still exist to remember and to tell of such. The Duncurins would like to wish one and all a wonderful Christmas.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted a modern style Nativity scene. It’s very well made. The metal is firm. It will sit on a shelf/table as a lovely ornament with ‘meaning’ and be used year after year during the Christmas season. It will now be a family heirloom!
