    Cheap and cheerful but functional
As described and as advertised in terms of functionality.

    Well packaged and well presented.

Works fine with PS for online gaming – no audio in or out issues.

Adequately comfortable but not the most comfy we’ve tried but these are cheap and cheerful.

Are these the best gaming headphones we’ve tried – No, but these are cheap and decent value for just for fun gaming.

    Very Good For The Price.
Listing to music on these while typing this out. These headphones are great for music and gameplay audio too. I like the little volume thing on the wire as well. Nothing was broken upon arrival, so I’m happy with my purchase. Very good seller, thanks.

    Perfect for my grandson.
My grandson is 10 years old, he’s always had a large head (nothing that will make you stare, it’s not “oh my word, look at the size of his head” he just needs larger headgear than his agerange,) so even though this is made for adults it’s not too big for him. As he’s only 10 he doesn’t have the ability to differentiate between good and bad audio, as long as he can hear what’s going on he’s happy.
He doesn’t live near to school friends so by using these headphones he can play with his schoolfriends from his own home.
For what I wanted from these headphones they are ideal, he can communicate with his fiends and he can play games without the sound interfering with those around him. The sound is more than adequate for him and the fit is fine. No issues whatsoever with them.

The headphones themselves are pretty decent, although I found they aren’t a great fit. My head is a bit small though. Overall the audio is pretty decent but I haven’t tested the microphone ye

Immersive Gaming Experience: Betron Wired Gaming Headse
The Betron Wired Gaming Headset has become an essential part of my gaming setup. This headset offers superb sound quality, enhancing my gaming sessions with crystal-clear audio. The immersive sound experience is perfect for all types of games, from intense shooters to immersive RPGs.

What I appreciate the most is its versatility. The headset seamlessly integrates with my PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, making it an all-around perfect choice for any platform I choose to game on.

The microphone quality is impressive. It picks up my voice clearly without any background noise, making communication with fellow gamers effortless and effective. The flexibility of the mic allows me to adjust it to my preference, which is a great feature.

Comfort is key in gaming headsets, and Betron delivers on this front. The ear cushions are soft and don’t cause any discomfort, even during long gaming sessions. The headset feels secure yet not overly tight, which is important for extended use.

Durability-wise, the headset feels sturdy and well-made. It doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap, suggesting that it will last a good while even with regular use.

In summary, the Betron Wired Gaming Headset offers excellent sound quality, versatility, clear communication, and comfort, all of which are essential for an immersive gaming experience. It’s a fantastic investment for any gamer looking for a reliable, multi-platform headset. Highly recommended!

    Reasonable for the price.
These headphones are aimed at gamers. Gamers love loud bass and flashing coloured lights, but these headphones lack both of these things. If those qualities are not important to you, then read on…

They are a good size and sit over the ear rather than on it. They isolate some sound but are not noise-cancelling. The microphone can fold up out of the way, and there is an effective in-line volume control and microphone mute button. They do seem to clamp securely to the head and I feel that could cause discomfort during marathon gaming sessions.

They do fine at sounds in most games, but if you intend to buy these to listen to music they are less effective. The sound is a little flat and lacks bass and clarity. But we must remember that we are discussing 15 headphones here, and not some high-end audiophile items.

As a reasonable quality set of headphones for the casual gamer, they are fine, and quite good value for money.

    Good budget headphones
My son has tried quite a few cheaper end gaming headsets over the last year of so, he plays a lot of online multiplayer games and needs to have clear sound and a good microphone.
This headset is pretty comfortable, a bit small for my big head, but fine for children or regular sized folks.
The sound quality is actually pretty decent, strong bass and tidy minds, highs are a bit flat. The microphone works well, his teammates could hear his comms really well without any breakup.
After a long gaming session his feedback was that they were definitely one of the best budget pairs he tried, and we’re actually pretty comfortable for a long session.

    Good value.
These headphones look better in the images than they actually do. Lots of shiny, black plastic.. However earpads and fitting feels good perhaps a little bit tight, but as these were purchased for my daughter, they are just fine.
The cable is nice and long and has a TRRS 3.5mm straight headphone jack. There is also a inline volume control.
The sound was ok, No noise cancelling. Having the in-line volume adjustment is great which allows for quick access. The sound was very good for a budget headset. Clear, and similar to headsets that tend to be a bit more expensive.

    Comfortable and good sound
Got these to be able to listen to music while all my machines are going in my studio (and they are noisy!)

The larger pads on these headphones made it comfortable to wear for extended periods as smaller ones tend to make everything compress against the arms of my glasses. My ears were encased rather than being pressed upon and the padding is soft enough that it moulded over my glasses arms instead of pressing on them.

The sound was good, there isn’t anything fancy like noise cancelling but the size of them meant that all noise from the headphones was going to my ears! Having the in-line volume adjustment allowed me to turn anything up or down quickly without needing to be sat at my computer, which was great,

For the microphone, it was not bad. Picked up my voice fine but did sound slightly lower quality than my usual branded headset but for talking generally it does the job.

They look sturdy with a nice long wrapped cable, only thing to keep in mind is that they require an audio jack to plug into whereas a lot of headsets now just use usb.

    Not bad
Overall, this product is not bad. Sound quality is ok with some good bass. The build quality seems ok but the plastic seems a bit brittle. Will have to see how long it will last. These was given to my Son who I am sure will put them through the wringer. Only tested on PC and did not need any drivers.

Mic volume is very low and needs to be adjusted in Windows for it to be usable and needs to be boosted on top of that.

Overall, not bad for what they are and to temper expectations.

    Boomy budget gaming heatse
These headphones look better in the images than they do in person, there is a lot of shiny, black plastic which can get dirty and scratched easily. However earpads and fitting feels good perhaps a little bit tight. The cable is nice and long and has a TRRS 3.5mm straight headphone jack. There is also a inline volume control which relies on an analogue dial and a mute function.

The microphone piece works well however it only goes up and down and does not have any sideways movement for better adjustment. Sound quality is okay as with all microphones of this budget.

As for the sound quality I’ll need to preface this. So I have my fair share of headphones and earphones and IEMs, nowadays I rely mostly on IEMs and the occasional noise cancelling headphones, Chu’s, ATH-MSR7s, ATH-M50s, WH-1000XM4s, and a few others, so I’m used to hearing good, clear quality sound with detailed highs, mids and less as well as and a good sound stage.

So when it comes to these headphones I was actually a bit disappointed with the sound. In terms of volume these are loud without relying on any amplifier. The bass is boomy, mids are recessed and often vocals sound drowned or muffled and the highs are not very clear or distinct. The sound stage is a bit more narrow than my regular IEMs or headphones. For budget purposes these would do fine, with a slight bit of tweaking on the EQ these should be alright. But if you want good quality sounds straight out the box and enjoy listening to various kinds of music these may not be the ones for you, with that being said you would need to spend a lot more money.

    ....
I’m not going to waste time on loads of words, which say very little, and just jump straight to the useful bits; these Headphones aren’t the best-of-the-best when it comes to earphone sound quality and sound leakage, but – for the two-digit price range – I think it would be unfair to pit them against three-figure premium ranges.

They hold their own against similarly-priced products for sound quality, and the overhead band isn’t heavy, and doesn’t cause any discomfort by dragging or pinching. They have a decent-quality microphone which is great for video calls, and are comparable with several gaming devices. What more can you really ask for at this price?

    Cheap and cheerful
4* due to the price=quality ratio.

It is lacking bass, it isn’t the clearest, it doesn’t have fancy lights BUT it does work.
I play online with my son once a week and cannot justify spending loads on a headset, this works perfectly fine on my Xbox, I can hear him and talk to him, I can hear the game and work out where people are and it doesn’t distort.
    Simple, cheap, works

Good sounding headphones let down by slightly awkward fi
These headphones sound nice and have decent base when playing. The mic boom rotates 170 degrees from vertical down to below your chin, unfortunately it doesn’t rotate the other way so you can’t have it on your right.

I couldn’t tell if the ear cups were velvet or leather from the pictures, but it seems to be faux leather. They are padded well, but the space inside is a little small and may not fit fully over your ears well.

Because the ear cups on these headphones don’t swivel it fits slightly awkwardly as they can’t shift to better surround the back of your ear. Though it wasn’t too distracting once I had them on and was playing.

The wire is not removable, but has good strain relief. The cable is soft and smooth feeling, it also doesn’t maintain kinks. The mute switch is easy to activate and works well on PS4 when connected to a Dualshock 4. The volume wheel moves easily and increases the volume smoothly rather than in big steps.

    Crazy-good value
My current headphones are on-ear and become decidedly uncomfortable after a time. So I thought I’d grab the chance to review this over-ear Betron set for the Vine programme.

Betron is a UK based company who claim to design their products in-house.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much given the price point – but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised.

As they claim, I find them comfortable to wear for extended listening.

I’ve tried them with a wide range of music from chamber and orchestral to hard rock. For the price, the quality is genuinely impressive. The sound stage is pretty well defined, and there’s good detail even in very complex bass-heavy mixes. For gamers, there’s no discernable lag. Overall, a surprisingly acceptable listening experience. OK – they’re not going to compete with your Bose Ultras, but at this price point they’re better than you have any right to expect.

The mic is perfectly adequate for chatting online. I’ve even tried recording my singing and language practice, and it’s usable for quick and dirty feedback. Just don’t expect too much from the noise-canceling.

Volume is fine for both my laptop and my Moto phone (which can struggle with some other sets I’ve tried).

As for features, you’re only getting a volume control and a mute button. But the control is well made and easy to use.

Finally, the construction seems pretty solid – I don’t see any obvious points of failure.

The only reservation is Betron’s online reputation for customer service, which doesn’t seem to be stellar. But at this price you’re hardly taking a major risk.

So if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful headset, you could do very much worse. A solid 5-star recommendation.
