Until I saw this I’d no idea that such things even existed. It’s an amazing idea and I’m sure it’s going to help me a lot.
I’m just in the planning stage of building a barbecue and outdoor grill/kitchen area, and due to coming up with the idea after I’d had nice stone flags laid, I was concerned about spills and splashes making them look bad. I know how hard it is to get oily marks and stains off stone as I had a mishap at our previous house during a family gathering.
I saw this fireproof sheet and thought it would be perfect for keeping things clean. Having had the chance to look at it properly I’m even more impressed with it. It’s a kind of rubberised material and it’s nice and thick to withstand the heat and traffic it’s going to contend with. I particularly like how it has a slight grip to it so it’s not going to slip about when it’s down. The same texture should also make it unlikely that I’ll be slipping around either.
This was provided free of charge in order for me to review it. My first criteria for anything like this is that it should do the job intended, and do it well. The second is whether or not I’d be prepared to buy it myself and if I feel it’s worth the money.
It’s a clear winner on both counts. Definitely a good choice and a good buy.
Due to the season and the poor weather, I haven’t tried this outside yet with my Weber BBQ Spirit – but it will certainly fit the bill for its intended purpose.
However, this BQKOZFIN silicone grill mat is being repurposed for the coming winter as a boot liner for my 3 Series Touring vehicle – it’s the perfect fit – it appears to be durable and wipe clean!
