If you have a blackbox that’s watch’s if you’re on your phone, connect the car play through Bluetooth and it doesn’t show you’re on your phone, good quality, came really fast and fits and sticks perfectly on my dash, 5 start’s all round

I have been after one of these for so long! I’m always jealous of my husbands car with the big screen for his music and navigation etc, and now I can bring my 10 plus year old car up to date!

Really easy to set up. Sharp looking screen. Can be attached easily enough. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks as a perfect Apply CarPlay screen for cars that don’t have it built in.

Very easy to setup. Pretty much just plug & play.

Sound quality from the screen itself is quiet, but the ability to play through your car’s AUX makes up for that.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have to say, I had my doubts on buying this over going for a new head unit. But I’m so glad I got it. It comes really nicely packaged and is very easy to set up. I have no aux port on my old car so choose the fm option to get the sound to my car stereo, it’s absolutely flawless and again, easy to set up. Apple car play is superb, the sound quality is brilliant, plus, you can simply take it out when you leave the car and pop it into a bag out your pocket. The ONLY two things I would say, which are minor, are that it doesn’t charge using USB and that you don’t get any kind of carry pouch or kind of wallet to put it into when it’s not in the car.. I’m buying a second one for my other car next week, so those minor points are nothing really. Overall I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Carpuride C3 unit is referred to by the manufacturer as its “best budget-friendly smart multimedia dashboard console”. That’s a fair statement, as the C3 is much cheaper than Carpuride’s other dashboard consoles such as the W900 range (W901 Pro, etc.), some of which cost twice as much as the C3. Despite this price difference, the C3 has all the functionality of the more expensive Carpuride models. Like them, it’s compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it suitable for practically all smartphone users. Also like the more expensive dashboard consoles, the C3 unit features a sensitive full-colour touchscreen with a host of features. Perfect.

The C3 comes with a detachable sunshade screen that renders the display easier to read in bright sunlight. Why don’t satnavs come with that same feature? They should.

Two brackets are included in the box: one for attaching to a dashboard, the other for mounting on a windscreen. Both brackets are sturdily built and provide a stable fixture for your C3 unit.

The C3 supports three different voice-control protocols: Apple Siri, Android Voice Control, and Google Assistant. Ideal for operating the unit in a hands-free way, allowing you to keep your hands where they should be while you drive (on the steering wheel!).

There are three sound-output options too: FM transmitter, AUX cable, or built-in 2W speaker. Like everything else about this unit, these sound options seem to have been designed for maximum user-friendliness. Rather than dictating how the unit operates, the manufacturer has left that very much up to the user. I like that.

No criticisms at all. The C3 is a fairly priced and versatile piece of kit for any motor vehicle.

This apple car play does feel good quality and the suction cup for placing it on the dash board works really well. This apple car play is great for things like Google maps and Spotify but you do need to connect it via aux cable if you want it playing threw the car speakers. It was easy enough to connect via Bluetooth to me phone and set up was easy too. I found it to be a little bit temperamental some times where it won’t let you access some settings because it thinks you are driving or something. The screen is a good size and the touch sensitive is good also. Over all I think it’s great for google maps which is the main thing I’d use it for.

My older car doesn’t have the features found in a modern vehicle, so no built-in sat-nav, DAB or touch screen controls for music. This device offers the chance to upgrade relatively simply, and at a lower cost than buying an upgrade to the car’s stereo. The set includes the screen, and the various parts that are needed to set it up. An instruction book is included but to be fair it I didn’t find it as informative as it should have been. A big issue for me has been that the power supply to the screen can only be made to a 12v outlet, with no option to hard-wire or use a USB outlet. That’s a great shame for me as my 12v outlet was already taken to power a dashcam via USB, and I’ve had to buy and use an extra 12v adapter in order to use this device.

Connecting to my Android phone works well enough with Bluetooth for many functions which is good, but as this device is designed to be used in older cars (without built-in displays for example) some extra flexibility with power seems an essential to me. Overall I quite like the device but there are pitfalls I hadn’t expected which make regular use of this it a less attractive option than simply using my phone in a cradle. It is a handy device for those whose car doesn’t have modern features but it isn’t perfect.

The 7-inch HD touchscreen is not only visually pleasing but highly responsive, making it easy to navigate through various features. The integration of both Apple Carplay and Android Auto is a standout feature, ensuring seamless connectivity regardless of the smartphone I’m using. This dual compatibility is a big plus in my opinion.

AirPlay Mirror Link adds another dimension to the functionality. I can now mirror my phone’s screen on the stereo, which comes in handy for various tasks, from navigating to watching videos while parked.

Bluetooth 5.0 provides a stable and fast connection, whether I’m making calls, streaming music, or using voice commands. The call quality is clear, and the voice recognition system is accurate, making hands-free operation safe and convenient.

The built-in navigation system is reliable and has proven to be a useful tool during my travels. It’s intuitive and helps me reach my destinations without any hassle.

Furthermore, the FM/AUX transmitter offers multiple options for audio sources. I can easily switch between FM radio and auxiliary input, giving me the flexibility I need.

Installation was relatively straightforward, and the stereo fits seamlessly into my car’s dashboard. The build quality is solid, and the design is modern and sleek.

In summary, this has truly enhanced my driving experience. Its seamless connectivity, intuitive interface, and additional features like AirPlay Mirror Link make it a worthy upgrade for any car audio system. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to elevate their in-car entertainment and connectivity.

To get a touch screen media centre that connects to your phone in an older car, this is a great option. Overall, it works very well.

    The main positives are:

    Excellent as a sat nav.

Perfect for playing your own music, podcasts and internet radio.

    Screen is reasonable quality.

Google voice control enables hands-free use – this works very well.

Lots of cable length to fit it tidily in your car.

The few minor issues I’ve identified are:

The plug doesn’t include a USB socket, so using this screen blocks off my power socket. In an old car without a mulitmedia screen, you’re unlikely to have a USB socket too. Would be much better if the power adapter included a USB port.

The touchscreen occasionally doesn’t recognise my touch.

No Bluetooth audio connection – you have to use aux cable for this.

This portable car stereo comes in a retail cardboard box and inside you’ll find the car stereo, power lead, 3.5mm stereo jack lead, Dash mount, windscreen mount, and a user manual.

The display doesn’t feel flimsy and has a well-made feel to it. The screen has a glossy surface which does reflect the light a little bit. There is a window and dashboard mount, so it gives you plenty of options on where to place it. The mounts give a full axis of adjustment so you can tilt it up, down, left, and right as well as bring it closer to you if needed.

Installation is really easy as you don’t need to wire it in, you only need to provide power from your 12v lighter socket in your car. The included 3.5mm lead is used to connect to your main head unit so the sound comes through your car speakers. You can only get sound out from this via the 3.5mm lead so you oem head unit needs to have a 3.5mm audio input. You can then control the volume through your standard head unit.

Android Auto is easy to setup and use and you can use the usual apps like google maps, music, and phone access. You can use voice commands to control everything so it can be operated completely hands free. I can listen to my playlists, get directions, and send messages without having to touch the screen which I find really helpful. The app is also very responsive and smooth and is quick to navigate from screen to screen.

I’m quite impressive with the number of options that it adds to your car. If you have a new car, then most of the features here won’t be anything special but if you have an older car which doesn’t support google maps or streaming services then this is a great alternative to quickly upgrade your entertainment in the car. The sat nav is easy to use but you do have to have your phone data turned on as it uses the internet for it to work. It doesn’t use a lot of data which is good. Android Auto is the best feature on here though for me as it adds so much more to the stereo and gives a completely new interface to interact with..

It took just under 5 minutes to fit this CARPURIDE 7 inch portable screen onto the dash of my granddaughters Peugeot 107 and she is really pleased with how this screen gives an instant, more updated look to the interior of her 2006 car.
My granddaughters iPhone connected to the screen via Bluetooth with ease and it didn’t take her very long to work through the various options and set up the screen to meet her requirements.
The screen is powered through the cars 12v outlet and it wirelessly transmits through the car stereo.
The audio plays through the car stereo speakers and the sound is acceptable for my granddaughter, although it is definitely quieter than when music is played directly through the car stereo.
The satnav on the iPhone is much easier to follow when it is transmitted onto the large 7″ screen and the voice control also works well.
My granddaughters iPhone instantly connects to the screen as soon as she turns on the engine and it automatically powers off when the car ignition is turned off.
My granddaughter likes to have the map and stereo on display at the same time, which is acceptable because the screen is a good size with good images and sound quality.
The removable sunscreen hasn’t been required yet, but I can see that it will come in handy in sunnier weather.
This screen has been installed in the car for almost a month now and my granddaughter is really pleased with it, although she says that she would have liked it better if it had been supplied with the rear view camera.

4.0 out of 5 stars I would have preferred this item to be supplied with a compatible rear view camera

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you’ve a car that doesn’t have android auto, this is a potential way round the situation.
You will want to have some sort of auxiliary port on your car stereo to get the sound through the car speakers, though.
It’s a nice sized screen for things like Google maps. It’ll also position the controls for Spotify on the screen, beside your nap, as well as showing text & WhatsApp messages. This is a handy way of being able to reply while driving, as it’ll send spoken messages as texts.
Screen mirroring is possible, but very limited. It needs done by a cable rather than casting it & a lot of apps out there won’t allow screen share. You also need a phone that has video out settings via your USB C….a lot of phones font have this built in.
It also won’t allow Bluetooth out to your stereo, only Bluetooth in from a device like your phone, so audio out has to be done by a 3.5mm headphone style cable, then plug it into the cars AUX input.
If you’ve a car that doesn’t have Bluetooth anyway, this is a step up, but a car with Bluetooth, it’s a step down.
It comes with an arm to let you attach it to the dash or windscreen, however, if you contact customer service, they will send you a CD slot mount, I’ve contacted them for one. It hasn’t arrived as yet, but it’s been 10 days & I think it’s being sent from the US.
As the unit isn’t built into the dash, you will find yourself with a slight dilemma…do I leave it in position in the car, risking a break in, or do you hide it away after each trip…. hiding it will quickly become a chore & you’ll find yourself not using it unless you really need it for Google maps, or maybe on a long journey it’s worth taking it out & plugging it in.
Definitely needs a Bluetooth out option, maybe the more expensive models feature that.

Fantastic neat way to retrofit apple CarPlay to an older car. Fairly easy to set up and use especially with the instructions. Has a setting to flip between left hand drive and right hand drive which is great and a nice big bright and responsive screen. The only real issue I have with it is that it doesn’t have a usb/usb-c port on the power plug or doesn’t come with a cable to power it via USB-c etc so I have had to purchase a car lighter power splitter so that I can also have suitable USB ports for me and my passengers to charge our devices from.
