I ordered this for something different to play as a family game with our 6 year old girls. I thought it would be nice for them to try and get used to using a golf club.
It comes in a decent sized box (nice for a gift) and also includes a velcro sealing carry bag that you can pack everything in to keep it all together and carry with you / pack in the car etc.
There are 20 balls (5 each of 4 different colours), a scoreboard and pen with eraser so it can easily be reused, a golf club (chipper/iron), a tee, tee mat and even a self-standing cup that the tee can be put into (handy if playing inside).
The play / course mat is a very nice big size and comes with pegs for putting down on grass, self-adhesive hooks for mounting on a wall or door (there are loops on each corner of the mat as you can see in my last photo)., or as we did – just placed the mat on the floor indoors.
There are no instructions included but it’s easy enough to make up your own rules. We just played hitting 5 balls each (one hit per ball) and then 4 balls each (again one hit per ball), and kept scores on the board as we went along. There are various points associated with different greens/holes as well as penalty points for landing in a sand or water trap.
It’s very versatile in that you can mount it on the wall or play on the floor (so far we only played it on the floor but after more practice I’m sure we will move it up onto a wall for a new way to play) – in the garden or inside the home. The balls are light plastic with velcro to stick to the mat. They are unlikely to damage things around the home if hit (of course – be careful with swinging the club!). The club comes in 3 parts (the middle part is optional, we used it with our girls without the middle bit so it was better for their height).
I was very impressed with the quality of all the bits, the mat is such a nice good size too. It has everything you need to enjoy a game, easily transportable and having the wall or floor play options as well as the 2 different sizes of club (with or without middle part) make it great for all ages. We will probably put it up on a wall or hang on a fence outside when we have kids and adults for a party as a side attraction.

Not ‘real’ golf but highly recommended. Great fun and a good value set, with mat, clubs and balls. This was easy to deploy and easy to play. A great value set.
I ordered this game for my family to have some fun in the garden. It is a large and colourful mat with different scoring zones and obstacles. It comes with a golf club, a tee, a scoreboard, and 20 balls that stick to the mat. The game is easy to set up and play, and it can also be hung on the wall for indoor use. ice chipping mat and set for little ones to get a glimpse of what golf is. perfect to introduce them to the game. the balls don’t stick very well hence why 4 stars.
A great golf set game. I wasn’t too sure what to expect as I have brought similar sets before but have been of poor quality, but this one seems to be good quality.
This set comes with everything you need to set up a mini practice golf course in your garden.
It also comes with a handy bag to store everything in, which is a nice touch.
I did take a star off as the set only came with one golf club. Not a problem if only one person is playing but I got this for my nephews and we’ve had tears as the little one (3) doesn’t like sharing the club once his turn is over.
Overall a fun set to keep the kids entertained!
Ordered this for a friends son’s birthday as it is something that they can play either indoors or in the garden.
It’s interactive with some putting and chipping zones with some good animations on it such as a pretend water feature and a bunker. The club is nice a light for a child to play with and it came with a good amount of golf balls.
My only real criticism of it though was that the balls needed more Velcro on them to make them stick better when playing
As a chipping game I can see this being a good party game, although the balls are very light, so wouldn’t want to play outside in any kind of wind, but overall can see it being a bit of fun for any age and probably quite a lot of fun for kids (which are presumably the target demographic). I personally struggled with the club as it is way too light, but I don’t see this as a real problem – If you are a golfer and used to a heavier club, then you can just grab one out of your bag. If you’re not a golfer then the weight of the club probably wouldn’t be an issue because you’d have no point of reference.
Some of these chipping sets are marketed for practicing your short game, I wouldn’t go that far with this and can’t see myself putting in time on this and reaping the rewards from the course (if I make it to a course any time soon), but I’ll still get it out every now and then for a bit of a break from work, or some entertainment while on a pointless conference call
It is a Velcro ball and mat, so while you could still hit a proper ball at the mat it wouldn’t stick to it. I could get some Velcro to stick to a proper ball though, that’s a pretty good idea, although perhaps not indoors as it could result in some dents to the office wall!
I can’t wait to gift this to my nephew for his 4th birthday. He’s already hit a few golf balls so will find this game easy but challenging as well. I know my brother will be just as excited to play with him. All the items are of great quality and look the part. Only reason I knocked a star was hanging the mat is hard to get it smooth so prefer having it just on the ground. Also some work could be done to improve the page as the stock images are poo
Bought this for use outside but as it was raining as it often does in the UK we set it up inside. This is a good sized mat that can be hooked upright (with enclosed hooks) or lay flat (with enclosed ground pegs). It comes with an adjustable golf club so you can take a section out for the kids. The balls are super light and stick on the mat with the velcro. Despite lots of pulling balls from the matt it didn’t affect the mat whatsoever. Kids had a great time scoring each other with the enclosed wipeboard score card. Looking forward to getting this set up outside. 20 is a great price for everything you get and a storage bag to hold it in.
