Smaller than expected
This is definitely a toy, rather small, but it is good to play with. He canera can only be moved manually. The good thing is it connects to your mobile and it can take pictures and videos, but no sound. It’s quite robust as we’ve crashed it into the wall a few times. Fornthe price, it’s reasonable
Very good drone worth buying.
everything works perfectly .Got used to it in under 10 minutes but the only bad thing is the battery ,you only get 10 minutes of flying time on each battery and the batteries charge for about an hour .However amazing drone .(would recommend.)
I ordered this and another drone from a different site for my Grandsons birthday. The one from the other site was 150. This one works way better than the more expensive one I purchased. He absolutely loves it. He said it is the best drone he has ever had, and he has had several more expensive ones. The video quality is amazing, it was super easy to set up, and the battery lasts forever. He plays with this one almost daily. He has made so many videos already. This is a great buy for any guy in your life young or older. Highly recommend.
I bought this Drone as a birthday present for my nephew he loves it. Only 1 problem batteries do not last long enough. Can spare batteries be bought separately for the drone
I bought this after doing some research on YouTube.
The drone is far from perfect as the camera is one you have to manually adjust so if you think you are going to create wonderful videos with it you won’t.
It struggles a little in wind but that is to be expected as even the DJI equivalent would struggle IMO.
If you just want a cheap camera drone with not so many bells and whistles then this would do its job.
The app is a bit spotty but it still works well enough.
The charger broke in its 2nd month. We may be used it 5-6 times only. I have contacted the seller on the replacement. Let’s see what happens next.
Update: 6-Dec-22
The customer service was brilliant. They sent me a replacement charging cable and a spare battery which I received today.
Happy customer again….
bad picture quality on video but you get what you pay for. expected it to be a little more wind resistant for 40 quid tho as having my window open is too much side wind for it to handle sometimes. great flying but bad battery
Received on time and in good order, charged both batteries and connected drone on my phone (Samsung Galaxy) all good so far, camera is good and worked fine, controls can be difficult to get used to but after a little it gets easier, used for the duration of both batteries and drone was ok, disappointed with the time you can use from charge as is only about 10 minutes, charged batteries again and that’s when things went south, connected to drone ok again but it just wouldn’t take off,
I’ve no idea why but it looked as though one of the motors wasn’t going as fast as the others, returned and waiting refund.
Going to add this to review.
After a couple of days I received an email from the company who sell these and they were very apologetic and courteous about it all, they sent another drone and extra batteries at no cost to myself, well impressed with that, they have been in contact throughout and have sorted everything out first class,
What can I say but very very happy
Great little drone.
This is a an amazing little drone, it flies well especially when it’s paired, gyros calibrated & trimmed as per instructions.
Unfortunately one of the motors failed on one of the two drones I purchased but when I chatted to Deerc, they asked a couple of questions to eliminate obvious problems & then sent a new drone that arrived two days later.
Incredible customer service.
Highly recommend these drones.
Good fu
The drone comes with 2 batteries and usb chargers and some prop guards which will come in handy.
The instructions are easy to follow. I think it is most suited to indoor flying due to its weight but will work fine outside in perfect conditions.
It has 3 speeds, and is very responsive to the controller input.
Good image quality.
Ideal for children around 10/12+, and adults who want to see what drone flying is all about.
A very good value for money.
I really thought I’d love this little drone, something a little more playful than the HS700D that I’ve had for the a while, but………
First flight around the house I managed to bounce most walls down stairs and trimmed some of the plants on the windowsill! The misses seemed very impressed! Move to the outside it seemed to be a little better , not some many walls to bounce off! Next flight out in the field! Started so well, doing a bit of testing of controls all working well enough, then up up and a way to try and get a picture of the village. Oh dear, poor little drone went high and got blown away and I couldn’t bring it back! So I had to press the kill switch and drop it! Then go find it, which took some doing, just at the point of giving up I found it, with NO damage! Awesome!
A few more sessions and things start to improve.
Hints and tips for this drone:
1 – Learn indoors using slow speed setting and headless mode.
2 – Put the rotor guards on when indoors.
3 – When flying outside, use full speed mode, then you’ll have a chance of beating the a slight breeze.
4 – When flying outdoors, head up wind, just in cace it all starts going wrong, it’ll get blown towards you!
Conclusion: I wanted to love this, but after a rough start I got very grumpy with it and really didn’t like it! But after a good amount playing and learning how to get the best of it, yes back to loving it!
Yes its no pro level drone, but for the money your getting a great amount of tech and it can take a tumble without getting damaged. Plus it comes with 2 batteries and 2 chargers. Awesome! So in short, if your will to spend a little time to learning its awesome fun indoors and out!
DEERC D20
Ever wanted to fly a drone not sure where to start ? then you can’t go wrong with the DEERC D20, the best drone for entry-level, If you want to learn how to fly a drone without spending hundred of pounds this is the one.
Amazing little drone that
you can almost start to fly straight out of the box, for the price it’s excellent value for money besides the drone and transmitter it comes with
2 quick charge batteries charging cable,
propeller guards ( if required)
a pack of spare propellers
mini screwdriver
full instructions.
Easy to set up with very little calibration, 3 speed modes, 720p camera/Video with adjustable angle, 360 flip function, headless mode, 10 minute flight time with each battery,
The instructions say 14+ but it took my 11 year old grandson less than 10 minutes to understand how to fly this little drone without studying the instructions too much.
To me the greatest thing about this super little drone was you can fly it indoors or outdoors with or without the need of Wi-Fi
Obviously a drone at this price has its limitations conditions need to be slight when using outside, battery life is less against a head wind and the camera is basic, but for the money it really is excellent value
The drone came very quickly and was well packaged.
It is quite small but that was expected. It feels good quality and the controller is easy to hold too with a simple layout.
The drone comes with 2 batteries and usb chargers and some prop guards which will come in handy.
The instructions are easy to follow and the drone is very sturdy in the air. I think it is most suited to indoor flying due to its weight but will work fine outside in perfect conditions.
It has 3 speeds, and is very responsive to the controller input.
I’m really pleased with the image quality, although still had lots of fun flying without the app too.
I’d say it’s ideal for children around 12+, and adults who want to see what drone flying is all about. A very good piece of equipment for a very good price!
The drone itself is very well built. The controller is slightly less so but still does the job perfectly.
Great drone for a beginner, doesn’t have a lot of features but for the price, good value for money.
Initial trimming (getting it to fly straight etc) takes a little work so make sure you start off with plenty of space so you can trim it without issues. Once done, works well. Also, comes with 2 batteries which is unusual but very much appreciated!
It was easy to setup and came with 2 chargers. We bought it for our son’s 8th birthday and he loved it from the off. He learned to control it pretty quickly, was able to do flips in the air but struggled to control it once flipped as this meant the controls were reversed. One day he took it high, but the wind caught it, and it drifted between the houses: he tried to bring it back but pushed it further away because of the reversed controls and it landed in a field full of bushes. They knew roughly where it had landed and took on board photos to try and find it, going out with shears and a broom handle to tackle the brambles6 hours they and 6 friends searched to no avail. They even went back out the following day for another 3 hours, but couldn’t find it.
It’s very tiny, fitting in the palm of your hand, and black in colour, so not easy to see in the dark, especially because the lights aren’t very powerful. I even struggled to find it when it landed in a bush right in front of me!
3 of the propeller guards came off after hitting walls or bushes whilst boy was learning to fly it and were never found, it would be better if it came with a lot of those as replacements.
It would also be better in a brighter colour so it could be found more easily.
Also, if it had an emergency light or beep on it for when it’s lost, if you pushed a button or something to enable it to be retrieved when you’re near.
He was very disappointed as that was his main present gone forever.
This is a really fun, nimble and sturdy little drone. It feels really responsive to your control inputs and you never feel like it’s getting away from you.
The build quality is great for something at this price point. The drone is very light weight but doesn’t feel flimsy. The legs snap nicely into place when folded and unfolded and the prop guards provide an extra bit of protection when you’re just starting out. The controller is solid and fits nicely in the hand while the accompanying app provides access to any features that don’t have a corresponding physical button.
It comes with two batteries that should easily give you 20 minutes of fly time.
This is a perfect introduction to the world of drones. It’s inexpensive, can put up with being knocked around, and is a lot of fun to fly. Highly recommended.
Pros
Sooooo cheap, one touch take off and land works well, headless great for kids learning to fly.
Altitude control quite good, no need to constantly adjust height
Super light at about 70g and classed as a toy so no need ( in the UK) for a flyer/operator registration with the CAA.
App is good, easy to control on phone, though wouldn’t trust over anything over short range. haven’t used tap fly or voice control.
Cons
I got a replacement as the first one had issues with the camera, refunded/replacement received within a day
Camera quality is poor so not suitable for family photos etc
Don’t try FPV as the lag is pretty poor
Being so light is also a con as any wind will impact stability, more suited for indoors, if using outside up the speed to 2/3
Can’t get gesture to work
Guards only protect side impact
Edit, in the end 2 faulty drones, motors seems faulty causing unstable flight. Upgraded to a Tello then DJI Mini SE. Folks spend the extra money and just get the DJI!
