Very convienent.
I found this to be a very convenient way to double an electrical socket. However it has one drawback – all my sockets have the on/off switch on the right hand side and when in position the adaptor partially covers the switch. Check the photos on the Amazon page and take heed of the position of the on/off switches in the photos. If your sockets look like that then there is no problem but I find it difficult to turn the switch ON with the adaptor in position. Having had another look there are adaptors better suited to sockets with the ON/OFF switch on the right hand switch. That said, it appears to be well made and would be useful for travelling. Made in China.
Just the job
Needed to double up my single socket but my electric fire was up to the left side. This is great . Does the job, is secure in the socket with bonus of tech charging points too.
Good quality, only usb-c for iphone 15 does not work,for ipad yes
Check which side the actual plug is on.
I had to be careful to purchase the extension with the double plug lying in the correct direction. It has made a much cleaner connection with the plugs in a parallel sequence. Delighted with my purchase.
Seems quality from first appearances
These look so tidy compared to extension leads tucked into corners or behind cabinets and sofas.
I’ve only had them a short while but seem exactly as you’d expect them, durable feeling plastics and nothing rattling about inside like with some cheap ones I’ve had in the past.
The sockets hold well enough and don’t slip out even with large plugs with transformer housed in them
Good value and works straight out of the box
This UK socket doubler with built in USB charger was just what I was looking for, with the second socket offset to the right it was perfect for plugging in to my socket close to the right of an interior door.
Looks well made and was a very good price
need more i think
i like these but i found i can’t put timer plug on these as it too close together it need more gap in middle i used the app to turn things of wireless i can’t put individual plug in without overlapping but i do like you can get 2 in one plug socket it just lack space to put in wireless adaption plug in both side of the plug socket in one
Very helpful produc
We brought the plug to be able to use the usb ports for chargers and to be able to plug a lamp into it aswell without reorganising the room to be able to have the lamp where we wanted it to be. It worked perfectly for what we wanted.
USB power was insufficie
My use case wanted to power a device from the USB socket, but it couldn’t achieve this. On that basis it was expensive for a twin socket adapter, so returned it sadly. Otherwise, it was well enough buil
It's a two gang plug with USB
I was using an old school double plug in one of my sockets which was awkward due to the shape of one of the plugs that needed to go in to it, and so I needed something that separated the sockets, and hung predominantly to the right hand side of the existing socket when plugged in.
This item fit the bill perfectly and appears to be well made and just the job. It has both BS and CE markings. (BS more important to me over anything with CE!).
This double adapter looks good and is handy with the two usb ports.
If you use it in a double socket it does leave one socket free but if you have old fashion chunky plugs then you can’t use them in the original free socket of the double.
Surge protection a bonus
A neat way of getting more out of one wall socket. I wouldn’t use for regularly changing plugs, wobbled a bit so you need to hold it steady.
Otherwise just the thing for compactness and maximum use of a socket which looks smarter than the old fashioned version.
