Brilliant produc
Very sturdy, great value for money, reached the top of my ceiling when extended to full height. Just have some worries about the plug, the shape and size, a bit unsafe as there is no fuse so will swap it out for another.
Bright ring light but plug not conform to UK standards!
This is a great, versatile ring light. It is large and comes with a tripod and a number of very handy accessories including 3 phone holders, a remote control (batteries are not included) and a bluetooth shutter. The ring lamp and accessories come in a large storage back.
There are no instructions provided but the assembly is fairly straightforward. All steps are also detailed on the product page. The lamp has a warm yellow, warm white and white modes as well as several RGB modes.
The tripod is quite stable – the feet could be more stable in my opinion – and easy to set up. It has 4 height levels. The phone holder works well with my Android phone.
The ring light is really good quality. I use it is a particularly dark environment and it helps with taking much better pictures and videos.
The power cord supplied comes with an unusual small plug that felt “off” to me. I didn’t trust it to be safe to use so I swapped it for a different one I had. After a Google search it was confirmed: the plug is indeed too small to conform to UK standards and the plug has no fuse… So be careful when using the lamp.
All in all, this is a versatile and easy to use ring light but let down by its unsafe plug.
I’ve wanted to make time-lapse 3D print videos for a while, but I didn’t have any knowledge about what I needed to even start. It turns out I needed this exact item.
I have an IPC camera with night vision, but it goes monochrome in anything except ideal lighting. Plus it has to be fixed to its base, which is awkward to position. I also have an action camera, but bearing in mind a 3D print can go on for days this would have had battery problems as well as the same lighting and positioning problems.
Along came this ring light and tripod that not only grows really, really tall but also stays short enough to position right in front of my printers. There are handy clips and holders for a phone or camera AND a couple of USB ports to plug them into and keep them powered for the duration. My pictures show the time lapse camera I have setup in prime position plus the view from my IPC, which was taken when it was dark outside, but is in colour.
As the listing says, there are three white light modes plus a load of RGB options that all seem to want to flash in your face at various speeds and colour patterns. The rest of the stuff is beyond my ken. The ring can hold three cameras (but only has 2 USB ports). With 2 cameras can you make 3D movies?
Delighted as I am with this, I have one concern. The power supply feels extremely light and cheap. I have photographed the plug because it looks exactly like a plug I saw on a website warning about dangerous plugs.
Excellent item massive ligh
Daughter is a social media influencer and says this is the best light she has had or used loves the remote features and all the different things you can do with it 5 star product and really cheap for the excellent product you get.
Huge and very bright ring light.
It’s actually a massive ring light with lovely RGB colours (you can’t see the LEDs in it) and very bright. You can adjust the colours, light modes and other settings using the touch module on the ring or the remote controller provided (you will need 2 AAA batteries for the remote).
The ring light comes with 3 adjustable phone stands, 1 remote photo shutter, 1 remote controller and a tripod.
The tripod is actually very compact and once fully opened it’s super tall (it reached our room ceiling). At the backside of the ring light, there are 2 USB ports for phone charging which is a great idea if you’re filming something or live streaming. It’s very sturdy on the tripod and can be easily moved around (lightweight).
It would be great if this could be battery operated for outdoor filming. The cable is a bit sort (especially with the tripod fully extended) and sometimes the light will turn off (which only happened a couple of times) for no reason but if you move the cable it will work again, I think there is something wrong with the cable.
