I recently bought this cervical memory foam neck pillow for my wife, aiming to improve her side sleeping experience, and let me tell you, it has been nothing short of a revelation. This pillow took a bit of getting used to, but I have found a comfortable solution now, it is made well, is adaptable which allowed me to find comfort. I am pleased with the result, my neck problem is not curable so at least this has allowed me some comfort at night time. I did order two thinking I would need both across the bed, but I did not, I do not roam around the bed anymore, and I did not open the second one and was able to send it back with no trouble at all from Amazon, quick no issue return and credited account in quick time. Well done all. 🙂
This pillow is shaped so that your neck is supported when you lie down either on your side or back. It is smaller than an average pillow. It feels soft but is also supportive. I am using it as it arrived so have not attempted to remove any layers. I’ve only had it a week so not sure of longevity.
A couple of things I would change is to make the bit that supports the neck and bit wider and longer. Also the pillow tends to slide about because the material on the back is very soft. This means that sometimes the pillow slides up the headboard a bit. I have a couple of pillows stood on the sides to stop the pillow moving away from me.
I’ve tried so many pillows, at first I was sceptical if it would work, I thought to buy the pillow and try it anyway.
It came rolled up in a box, and quickly it gained air and the memory foam began to set the shape it was meant to be.
Surprisingly medium firm, it shapes your head/neck shape when you lie down.
I actually used it for a mini nap, slept so comfortably too. I am so glad I bought this, as my neck and back were hurting from normal pillows, this pillow has a shape that makes your neck comfortable when lying down, it gives your neck and back support.
And also your head, the pillow has a shape that moulds your head, so when you sleep it’s in a perfect position already.
I highly recommend it and the price is also reasonably.
I initially bought this for my husband, but, it is too low for him. For me though it works really well. I have sleep apnoea, which means I have to wear a snug mask, plus with the arthritis in my knees and back it makes side sleeping impossible, the central dip is great for keeping my head centralised.
Now the downsides, the material of the cover is itchy and bristly, maybe after a few washes it will soften.
To compensate for the itchy cover, I put a pillowcase on it. Nope, not going to work, or only work with larger pillowcases. I bought the larger pillow because it was deeper, which means it’s a very tight, stitch popping fit with a pillowcase. Along with not being able to take advantage of the central dip because the pillowcase is pulled too tight. I am looking into cutting up an old sheet, stitching a rectangle then putting press studs at the corners to hold it in place on top of the pillow.
Even with the negatives, I’m not getting rid of the pillow.
