Purchased to put under an outside oven but so pleased with its heat protection that I am going to get another to cover a table for placing items straight from the hot ove
While the mat feels thin it does feel nicely coated on both sides and doesn’t feel flimsy. I’m not sure I’ll have a great way to test how protective this would be with a surface that could be damaged by heat, but the mat will at least be good at protecting from stains as it seems easy to clean up. Overall feel well manufactured and folds up easily to throw into a bag or with your grill.
I use this on my plastic top camp table to protect the top from the camp stove. It folds and stores in the camp stove case. No issues. It works.
Un accessorio da cucina utilissimo e molto versatile. Questo tappetino ignifugo funzionale per qualsiasi bbq da tavola o griglia, per bistecchiere e tostiere che tutti utilizziamo a casa abitualmente.
Arrivato puntuale e ben imbustato, il tappetino ben fatto, gi al primo tocco si nota il materiale di ottima qualit, grande 61×79 cm, con bordo robusto e cucitura ben strutturata. Lo trovo versatile e il materiale flessibile lo rende perfetto da portare in campeggio o da riporre in un armadietto della cucina senza prendere troppo spazio.
La fibra di vetro di cui fatto rende il tappetino ignifugo e resistente ad altissime temperature, fino a 550C. non ho pi bisogno di mettere sul tavolo o sul ripiano un panno o una tovaglia che riesca ad evitare danni al mobile.
Ottimo per le grigliate a casa con piccoli bbq portatili le cui scintille e piccoli pezzi di carbone non avranno alcun impatto sul tappetino, ma anche per utilizzare il fornetto elettrico. Facilissimo da pulire, il tappetino impermeabile e antigrasso, basta un panno umido e del semplice sapone per piatti.
Da qualche mese mi sono impratichito nella panificazione e nelle pizze: per lo scopo, ho acquistato un forno di una nota marca di tipo ibrido (legna, carbonella e gas).
Ogni volta mi ritrovo macchie di grasso, pezzi di carbonella o legna caduti o liquidi di cottura che macchiano irrimediabilmente il tavolo o il piano di lavoro e sono difficili da far sparire.
Ho deciso di provare questo tappeto nella misura media cos da avere una perfetta copertura di tutta la superficie senza che sbordasse.
La superficie del tappeto nera e lucida, gi cos lo sporco si vede di meno.
Tutt’attorno ha l’orlo rinforzato con doppia cucitura, l’ideale per non rovinarsi quando ad esempio si fanno scorrere gli strumenti o le gambe del forno.
E’ di materiale ignifugo quindi scintille e pezzi di legna incombusti non sono un problema.
Una volta finita la grigliata si pu benissimo sbattere per raccogliere le briciole e nel caso lavare con l’idropulitrice.
Il costo ragionato ma sono convinto che possa scendere magari con qualche offerta lampo per diventare un must-have per tutti i griller o i pizzaioli casalinghi!
This mat is Fire and Water/oil proof. It’s 24″ x 36″ perfect for my 22″ Blackstone Griddle. It’s spacious enough on both sides to place my utensils and other cooking items. It’s also heat proof and protected my table top. It is easy to clean. It is foldable and rollable for easy storage. It is made of fiberglass with silicone around it. It is durable. Great mat, it’s versatile and can be used for more than on a table under a griddle. It works as described in the description.
I am not using this mat as it was intended, I put it in front of my BBQ, to protect my cement patio from spills and drippings. It is really made to be used with a charcoal grill. However, I did test it by putting metal objects I had been using on the grill, by setting them on the mat and it didn’t melt nor were any marks left on it, so I think it passes the heat resistant part. The biggest complaint however, is, it is very thin and the slightest wind disrupts where it had been lying, so if you were to use it with a portable grill in a place with any wind, it could potentially present a problem
Mat has shown no signs of wear in the last couple weeks of living under the smoker. It looks good and is a nice accessory to the smoker. It’s big for my table top smoker, so I folded the sided under to accommodate and it doesn’t mind that either. Will update if it doesn’t survive the winter 🙂
I have a pizza oven and wanted some protection for the surface it is on. This works well – the interior of the pizza oven itself heats up to 700 degrees but the exterior isn’t that hot, but hot enough that over time I’m afraid the slab it is on will deteriorate. This provides enough insulation beneath it that I’m no longer concerned.
I purchased this to go under my 24″ Blackstone griddle for my camper outdoor cooking. I wanted to protect the table I set it on from the heat and sizzling bacon grease splatters. The size for me is great; it drapes just a little like a table cloth. It is thick and sturdy; I have no question about the quality. While sturdy, it still folds up nicely and neatly and in has a small footprint (important in camping!). It wipes down quickly with mild dish soap. I also have no need for spoon rest/spatula rest because I can just lay those utensils directly on it. I’m going to purchase another to put under my Weber 1000 tailgate grill. I would recommend!
