Bought this after my work provided me with a computer that has a wired connection. Plugged this in and have a wireless connection to the internet that has been flawless, thank you!
Had to move my router which meant my PC was out of physical connection range. Plugged it in, put the supplied CD with the software on in the PC and two minutes later it was all done. Picks up my router signal from 10 metres away.
I bought this as I made a hash of changing the internal wifi card on my laptop – damaged one of the aerial connectors and wasn’t prepared to completely dismantle the lid to replace it.
This does the job perfectly; OK it’s only WiFi5 but I’ve only got a 100Mbps link and it cost next to nothing!

As I live in a very rural area beyond the scope of all broadband providers, I rely on my mobile hot spot / unlimited data plan combination to feed other WiFi enabled devices.
This Foktech Wifi Dongle has been the first to not only work consistently, but to also pick up the 5GHz signal and has effectively allowed me to almost double my download/upload rates.
While it is hardly an ideal solution, it is certainly a very useful interim fix for anyone who shares my rather specific situation.

Installed fibre, spoke to my tech expert who said nope, can’t change the WiFi card. Cue last but one little grey cell exploding. ‘However’ said he, ‘you can get a dongle which should sort the problem out.’ ‘What the hell is a dongle?!’ asked I.
Yes that’s how dramatic it got. After some research, I bought this one, it arrived the next day. Plugged it into an available USB socket and got 27mbps out of the possible 145 from the new fibre (but better than 1.1..)! It’s a start – not the fault of this little chap as a speed test did clock 140mbps today!

Replace this , like for like as was so happy with it before…not due to fault of product, due to kids not looking what they are doing …usb got bent!!
