Good wifi dongle
Had to move my router which meant my PC was out of physical connection range. Plugged it in, put the supplied CD with the software on in the PC and two minutes later it was all done. Picks up my router signal from 10 metres away.
Cheap, good quality wifi dongle
I bought this as I made a hash of changing the internal wifi card on my laptop – damaged one of the aerial connectors and wasn’t prepared to completely dismantle the lid to replace it.
This does the job perfectly; OK it’s only WiFi5 but I’ve only got a 100Mbps link and it cost next to nothing!

As I own a PC which has no internal WiFi receiver, I have purchased a number of different WiFi dongles from Amazon over the years. Generally these are all from companies I had never heard of, and usually cost around 10. The majority of these “dual band” receivers have either been limited to 2.4GHz frequency, or have struggled to pick up signal from nearby sources.
As I live in a very rural area beyond the scope of all broadband providers, I rely on my mobile hot spot / unlimited data plan combination to feed other WiFi enabled devices.
This Foktech Wifi Dongle has been the first to not only work consistently, but to also pick up the 5GHz signal and has effectively allowed me to almost double my download/upload rates.
While it is hardly an ideal solution, it is certainly a very useful interim fix for anyone who shares my rather specific situation.
2013 Dell Just Got New Life!
I was minutes from losing my mind entirely between really bad broadband and the gallant effort of my Beloved laptop that still works on steam power clearly!
Installed fibre, spoke to my tech expert who said nope, can’t change the WiFi card. Cue last but one little grey cell exploding. ‘However’ said he, ‘you can get a dongle which should sort the problem out.’ ‘What the hell is a dongle?!’ asked I.
Yes that’s how dramatic it got. After some research, I bought this one, it arrived the next day. Plugged it into an available USB socket and got 27mbps out of the possible 145 from the new fibre (but better than 1.1..)! It’s a start – not the fault of this little chap as a speed test did clock 140mbps today!
Very pleased as I have been speaking to large organisations and staff on various training topics via zoom without looking like Max Headroom… IYKYK…

Wifi Dongle great purchase
I bought this dongle as the internal WIFI on my laptop had failed to work. This was an easy fix. Good installation instructions for the software and is working fine with my Netgear router. Very pleased with the purchase.

Great wifi dongle
Purchased this device as the wifi card on my PC doesnt have an up to date driver for Windows 11, which was causing connection problems. The dongle is plug and play, no installation required. Connected to the wifi straight away and has full signal constantly. Obviously works with Windows 11. Does it’s job, very happy.
Works just as well as the more expensive unit it's replacing
I have a home office one floor above the router, with a decent signal. It’s a rural line that only delivers around 36 Mbps down. This little adapter is slightly outperforming the much more expensive unit it’s replacing, and extracts all the speed that’s available.
Installing was plug and play – not even a reboot required.
How it would fare with a weak signal I can’t say, but in my scenario it’s working well and seems like a bargain.
Worked a trea
I had issues with my WiFi coverage in my house because my computer room is on the 2nd floor. This product has made such a difference. Easy fix, now fast connection: problem solved
Reliable wifi signal
This dongle works pretty seamlessly. I bought it really to connect my desktop to my printer after I had cable problems. It works fine with no issues at all. Reasonably priced and excellent for the job.
Does the job
Bought to allow me to use wifi on my laptop as the internal wifi card had become faulty. Super easy to use – I just plugged it in and it set itself up and started working immediately. Has provided a good, strong signal and been trouble-free during the few months I’ve been using it. Happy to recommend.

I bought this WiFi dongle to help with an issue on an old MacBook Pro which had a network card failure. I needed a quick fix. The description said it was PC and Mac compatible. Unfortunately, when commencing installation of the drivers, there was an incompatibility issue with OS Catalina. I contacted support and received an immediate response, which was surprising as it was the weekend. They sent me a file containing alternative drivers suitable for Catalina. These installed without a problem and the WiFi was up and running in a very short time. I cannot praise the Support team enough. Great service.

The wi-fi adapter arrived quickly. It has proved to be a real game changer for me. My wi-fi struggles to reach my laptop, with this adaptor it performs as though i have the laptop wired into the router. Initially i had a couple of questions with the installation, an email to the support team and i received a reply very quickly. The issue resolved and the installation complete. I would definitely recommend this product, great value and ensures constant wi-fi connection in those tricky parts of your house.
Works well. Mine broke after a month but full refund and support.
This worked perfectly for my laptop which intermittently seemed to have no WiFi functionality. Unfortunately it seems to have broken after one month and no longer works.
EDIT – I have had excellent customer service including a full refund and some help with fixing the issue. I’ve therefore amended my rating and will try again with a new device.

I previously bought a WiFi-adapter with an antenna over Amazon but it was bulky and also suffered an untimely demise when one one of the components overheated and the device stopped functioning. This one doesn’t seem to generate as much heat and is only slightly larger than the size of a thumbnail. Hopefully it lasts longer than its predecessor.
