It’s a really cute ornament and is nice to look at. It’s sparked a big interest in my kids and looking into weather patterns. We’ve had such irratic weather recently where we live, so there is no way it could have kept up with the great British weather recently. I would be sceptical about it’s accuracy and wouldn’t trust it to tell me if I need my brolly and coat, but it is nice to look at, and it’s fun and quirky. Would make a nice gif

The base is a little cheap but keeps it in position nicely.
We really liked this storm glass when it arrived and it has been placed on the sideboard where it looks at home.
The glass is a lovely large teardrop shape with liquid inside to just over half way up the glass, there are crystals in the water that are supposed to be able to predict the weather, but they have stayed in exactly the same place as when it was unpacked almost 3 weeks ago.
The item is a really nice ornamental object that sits on a lovely square of wood, and looks lovely where I have put it, however I wouldn’t like to use it for predicting the weather.
At 22.99 (with a 15% off voucher) at the time of writing this review, I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t work, but it is a lovely ornament, so have given it 4 stars.

I’m obsessed with storm glasses, I have a little bird storm glass in my dining room, so wanted this one for my living room. The design is simple yet elegant and looks great on the little wooden stand.
Do storm glasses really predict the weather? I’m not so sure, but they are certainly fun to look at. I definitely wouldn’t rely on the glass more than my weather app
Ensure you follow the instructions provided as it is important to leave the storm glass unpackaged and undisturbed for at least 24 hours! This allows the glass to acclimatise and settle.
There is a little chart inside the instructions that shows you what the crystals will form like inside the glass for different weathers. The chart is minuscule and I can barely read it, you may prefer to look up a storm glass chart online for more clarity.
Overall, I feel a storm glass is more of a decorative thing but I like to think it’ll tell me when we eventually get a decent snowfall in the southwest of the UK!

I’ve wanted this gadget for quite a while, as I was always fascinated by it and like unusual items.
I love the design and its great quality. It will compliment any decor with it being neutral. Mine fits nicely on the mantlepiece.
What I would say, if you are looking for an accurate weather predicator, then this may not be the item for you. It does state, that it is not be be solely relied on in the instructions. Apart from the flakes settling slightly over the last 30 hours, today we have had a lot interchangeable weather in the U.K. We have have had sun, rain and overcast cloud and the flakes, although pretty, have never budged.
If on the other hand you are looking for something slightly unusual and ornamental, that is guaranteed to become a talking point with your guests, then this is perfect for you!
