I wanted a samll torch that would easily fit in my coat pocket. I was also fed up with buying batteries. This small ightweight rechargeable item is excellent, in performance and value. IT has a very bright setting, and a less-bright (and presumable less-power demanding, mode. It can also be set to strobe, but I cannot imagine a circumstance where I would require it to. And best of all, there are two of them in the box.

Had a lot of battery torches with Cree LEDs and was very impressed but over time not only did they all go missing but they used quite a lot of AA batteries. So I tried these rechargeable torches with variable focus. Well I’ve only had these a couple of weeks and so far I’m impressed. Equally as bright as the earlier Cree torches but with variable focus which I thought was a gimic but no, it’s actually a useful feature. I can’t really say how good the rechargeable batteries are yet but they’ve lasted well so far with no noticeable drop in brightness (the Cree torches would have started to dim by this stage). And even when they do dim there’s no expensive batteries to buy! On the whole a satisfactory purchase and I will be buying more.

i use this torch for dog walking at night although it serves a purpose i found the beam to be very wide with not a lot of distance i would prefer a slightly narrower beam with more distance.
