    Excellent little device.
    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ I’ve only got this to work with my Govee 1500 Watt heater and it works beautifully with that.
+ Despite its small size, the display is very clear.
+ Bluetooth integration works excellently with the app if all you want to do is monitor temperature and humidity.

    Things I didn’t like:

    – Bluetooth range wasn’t 200 feet, but it wasn’t bad at all.
    – The pricing is a little disingenuous with it being 20 with a 35% off voucher. This is basically a 13 hygrometer.

    Do I recommend it?

    Absolutely. Excellent little device.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to set up, and seems to work with more than just other GoveeLife devices!
This little device is currently just 13 (thanks to a 40% voucher offer), and for that cost it’s a bargain.

It’s easy to set up with the GoveeLife app – and if you have other GoveeLife products, it’ll link there too so you can combine actions between them (e.g. if this temperature, activate this device).

We also have Google Home ecosystem, and it looks like after a recent upgrade that the GoveeLife products paired can be linked there – and the Home app allows you to connect multiple devices from different vendors together… which is really interesting!

This product is really well made, and looks more attractive than other similar devices we’ve had. We’ve monitored several rooms of our home and the results – particularly humidity – were an eye opener.

I love the fact that the historic readings are stored, and you can look at trends – that’s really smart.

Overall, this is a great device – and with the current voucher offer, the price is unbeatable. Recommended.

    Small, white and discrete
Much nicer than the last one I bought which was larger and had a black surround, and which I resented having to display when it didn’t meet the style on my interior decor.

    Great compact device
Really small device that looks great on the wall – it tracks temperature and humidity and sends it to an App via Bluetooth. The device can store a decent amount of history it seems as I only connect once a week and it loads all that weeks data – the box says 2 years worth! Would highly recommend and will be ordering 2 more for other rooms.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat little Device
I already have some Gove Room Thermometer Hygrometers dotted around the house and thought Id see what this version bring to the table.

Answer seems to be longer life, nice clear easy to read display, and a more compact form only thing missing is the days high and low for both temp and humidity. It doesn’t have a kick stand but more an angled bottom so it sits squat with a nice angle to see the screen.

App wise it works well you can twin it with other devices, like the govee heater but I don’t use it for that as I use homekit to deal with that side using the older model

At the moment the device cannot be connected to homekit via homebridge but it shouldn’t take long for the developers of the govee plugin to add it.

Update 6/2/24 Govee plugin developer just released v10.3.1-beta.3 for homebridge and can confirm working in homeki

    Smaller than I though
I ordered this to measure the temperature and relative humidity in my rooms as I sometimes get damp issues.

The device itself is smaller than I expected but don’t let this detract you, the display is amazing and so clear using the e ink that a smaller device doesn’t really make any difference.

It was easy to download and connect the device to the app, and I am amazed by the distance that this works at as even in my living room I can download the data held in the device which is better than I thought considering it uses Bluetooth.

It takes 4 aaa batteries that are not supplied.

The app displays the temperature, relative humidity, dew point and VFD. It can display over a hour, day, week, month and year. It can display in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

The device itself can either stand upright on its own or be stuck to something nearby using the supplied slef adhesive sticker.

    Works well
Powered by a CR2450 battery – included – you need to remove the cover and pull out the protective tab to start it working. It claims that it will last a year. The display shows clear values for temperature (selectable in either C or F) and relative humidity. The display face is angled slightly upwards for better clarity if standing on a table and you are looking down at it, or you get a sticky which can be used to attach to a wall, but the angled face might then not be quite so helpful.

The unit is Bluetooth enabled – unfortunately you cannot connect to this using a generic app like SmartLife – you are forced to download the manufacturer’s own Govee Home app (which actually seems to have a lot of similarities to SmartLife) to connect to it – whilst it tries to cajole you into creating an account, fortunately you can in fact use the app without creating one (just like SmartLife).

Connection via BLE proceeded quickly and smoothly. The app will present you with graphs of humidity and temperature, as well as dew point and VPD (vapour pressure deficit, which is likely to be useful for people using these in greenhouses). The time axis can be changed to hour, day, week, month or year, and you can change to bar graphs showing max, min or average – it’s annoying that you can’t set a default for the time period shown as I always want to go to last day as last hour is not really all that useful, to me at any rate. It would also be nice if you could actually show the data from multiple devices on the same graph, but you can’t – I have another GoveeLife temperature/humidity gadget and I have to exit the graph, go to the other device on the front page and open the graph for that. You can set notifications if desired.

    Excellent nicely sized thermomete
This is a nice sized thermometer measuring just under 6 cm square. The screen is clear and easy to read and the single button on the top allows you to change between Centigrade and Fahrenheit.. It has a flat but slightly angled base so you can place it on your desk and it leans slightly back so as to give it a better viewing angle, however if you’d prefer to stick it to a wall or another surface it comes with a sticky pad to place on the rear.

When you’re ready to use it you need to remove the back and pull out the plastic from beneath the battery. The tiny manual is a little lacking with the instructions and doesn’t help with getting the rear panel off which can be a little tricky. Once the plastic is removed the readings spring to life and you can either just leave it as a stand alone thermometer/humidity display or you can download the Govee Home app on your phone which allows you to connect to the device via Bluetooth.

The app is quite straightforward to use and linking to the device is easy. This will allow you to set threshold alerts for upper and low readings and will also provide a history of readings.

The only downside for me is that there’s no backlight on the thermometer which would make the screen more easy to read in low light but that gripe aside I really like this gadget and highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersLovely little device - perfect if you don't need WiFi/remote monitoring
This is a really nice little piece of tech – it’s got a lovely “e-ink” display (bit like a Kindle) which is bright and easy to read. It’s tiny – about 2″ (50mm) square and looks cool on your desktop etc. It pairs with the Govee Home app (download to your phone/tablet if you don’t already have Govee equipment) via bluetooth (the Govee system has many many components and so if you can’t find this Thermometer/Hygrometer as you’re scrolling though the options you should just type “HJ5105” into the search bar!). Once you have the app installed you will pick up temperature, relative humidity, dew point and VPD measurements to view in nicely laid out graphs – and so if you are a data fanatic then this is another great set of data for you to harvest! It’s perfect for when you want to gather some detailed information about a particular room or office or store etc. The only slight disappointment (hence I’ve removed a star) is that there is no wifi connection and so to collect the data you have to be pretty much in the same room and then the app will download from the device via bluetooth. If this isn’t a problem then it’ll be perfect for you but if you want to monitor a place remotely then it’s not ideal.
Top tip – the device runs on a CR2050 “hearing aid” battery (apparently lasts a year) and you have to remove a spacer to get it to start running – however there are no instructions about removing the back of the device to do this. It actually looks/feels as though the grey base should lever off but thats not the case – the back of the device has to be removed. Nearly broke the base at first until I realised that the back panel clicks/slides off. Should make that clear in the manual!

    Good temperature accuracy.
    GoveeLife Bluetooth room Thermometer.
What with not wanting to waste gas for the central heating it is very handy to have one or two of these in different rooms to accurately check temperatures around the house and not be using excessive amounts of heating unnecessarily.
With these thermometers you can also download their app so you can see any changes in temperature without having to go and check the thermometer, this is only available via Bluetooth and not WiFi so you can only check it if you are within Bluetooth range and not if you are away from home.
Overall, these are very good accurate thermometers but are quite expensive and would have been much better value if they connected to your home WiFi.

    compact and useful
Nice compact Hygrometer. You can stick it to the wall or have it free standing, although it is just about on its tipping point due to the design. I found if you go to press the top button it falls over, although that was only needed on initial set up.

You have to pull the back off to remove the plastic between the battery and contacts to get it started. It takes a bit of force though.

The Swiss made sensor is a real bonus. I use it mainly for checking on damp rooms and in my fish tank room, plus I also use a dehumidifier to aid with water evaporation over time.

The display is really sharp and clear, even without a backlight.
Room temp and humidity sensor is all I need.

The app also allows you to set alarms for both humidity and temp, plus you can calibrate the unit if you want to go that far. I suppose you’d have to have very expensive pro tools to do that though or send it off for calibration, let’s face it no one is going to do that, so let’s trust the Swiss made pedigree.

Nice, neat, compact instrument. I love it.
