I tried this on my home TV with my M1 MBA to check it worked. It did.
I then used it for a presentation using my iPhone 15 and it worked brilliantly.
The only slightly confusing thing is that when it plugs into my Mac it makes the image on the display go tiny. It still works but it’s weird.

I tried lots and all the others required external driver from unknown source to be installed, I have dell
latitude 5530 and this worked perfectly there without any driver installation or anything
It worked with a Mac
I was wary of buying this as it didn’t specifically say about Macs, although mentioned, and there were no reviews mentioning Macs positively. However, I have used it for an extra screen via HDMI on an iMac and it works fine. This is all I want it for and a significant saving on the Apple version.
Fixed my laptop!
My laptop HDMI port broke and instead of spending a fortune to get it fixed, this worked a treat. I’ve used it to connect multiple screens and can now work from home with ease again. It’s small and smart looking so it’s not an inconvenience to travel with. Would recommend!

Happy as I can use my second older screen.
The older screen has an old connection and hdmi, and no usb-c.
So this enables me to plus hdmi to usb into my Chromebook.

Works nicely
The adapter is well made and the connection is very secure. I have used it to connect my laptop to my TV and it works great. The picture quality is excellent and the sound is clear. The adapter is also very small and lightweight, so it is easy to carry around. I am also impressed with the customer service from the company. They responded quickly to my questions and were very helpful.
I tested this on my Samsung Galaxy tab A8, to cast onto my Acer monitor, did not work.
Tried it with my pixel 7, it didn’t work.
But it worked with my s10, seems like you need the Samsung Dex functionality to cast from phone to monitor using the cable.
