Although this is described as a hover-football it really reminded me of the old air-hockey tables, where suspended on a cushion of air, the puck glided across smooth surfaces.

In use, we found it a lot of fun! It’s “safer” than a ball (as it’s less inclined to take off and knock things off shelves or tables). The “ball” itself is lightweight and protected by a bumper – kicking it about is unlikely to cause any damage to walls or furniture though I’d advise wearing shoes (rather than socks) when kicking about as you’re more likely to slip-slide running around in socks.

Included in the set are two small and low goals (the ball works best when gliding along the floor and not airbound so they’re perfectly sufficient).

A few additional things to note:
    – This will work best on smooth surfaces (like tile, wooden floors or laminate). It won’t work on carpet
    – USB cable connection into the football is a barrel-shaped connector (so a little harder to replace than conventional USB connectors of you lose it)

Good indoor fun (but needs flat space inside!)

This is a fab toy if you have the space to use it properly. it doesn’t work so well on carpets so we took it along to a local community centre when we we had something else on to have a kick about. To be honest I thought both the ‘football’ and the goals would be bigger in real life than they ae. However they are fun to play with. We ended up with quite a little crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy the game and wanted to check out the football. We played in a hall with no furniture so there was no risk of anything getting damaged; I’d say the risk is minimal (and the bumpers stop the toy itself being broken) I wouldn’t be letting young boys play with it a room with grannie’s best china, regardless. The goals need to be constructed, and there aren’t instructions so that was a challenge in itself but all worked out in the end.

This is a good set for kids with 2 footballs, 2 chargers and 2 goals. The balls light up well with LED lights and hover over most surfaces. With the bumpers they are unlikely to do any damage to furniture. You do need to have the space indoors to play with them as they don’t work so well on uneven ground. Whilst you get 2 goals there are not any instructions on how to assemble them. It is pretty much common sense but it would have been nice to have a guide, especially for attaching the nets. There are cheaper versions available but I like this set because of what you get with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good fun football se

On rainy days or cold weather this will keep young ones or adults occupied, I like that it’s rechargeable so I don’t have to buy expensive batteries.
This won’t work on my carpet so mine have to use the hallway as it’s laminated.
It’s really fast, the goal is a welcome extra as it gives you something to aim for.
Make a great Christmas gift so I’m happy to recommend it.

So, this does look cheap, you can see all the innermost wires etc of the soccer ball which adds to this as well as the foam exterior that won’t last long. However, it does have flashing lights and you don’t need batteries!!!! Usb charger included but no lights to tell you if its actually charging (which is annoying). Love the mini goals, they are light weight, DIY ones but it gives the kids something to aim at other that the furniture!. I don’t expect this to last a long time, but fun whilst it does.

I’ve had one of these before and it was awful. This one however is good. It floats well, has great bumpers so does no damage, it looks good and the goals are nicely made.

There are no instructions so you have to figure out the goal construction on your own. There is no charge light on the ball so you can’t tell when it’s fully charged and it also has a proprietary plug so if you lose the USB charger it comes with you’re in trouble.

    Pros
Great floating football with nice lights
    Good quality goals with nets
Good bumpers that bump harmlessly off furniture
    Seems good and robust

    Cons
    Proprietary charger
    No charging light
    No instructions

Overall though if you fancy playing football inside (if you have the space) in these colder months this is great fun. Would make a great present for the family to play. It is nicely boxed and feels good quality. Recommended. 5*

5.0 out of 5 stars A good one of these, I've had bad ones before and good set of goals
