Easy to set up my first ever printer. Connected to home wifi quickly. At time of reviewing I am still learning. Worth what I paid for it. HP printers? The brand name tells you are very safe

great printer but tied to wi-fi which was not what I was expecting so have to find new skills or apps to use it which is not easy for a 76 year old
It’s a good printer only issues were that the set up took long but it’s due to me I guess. But anytime I printed papers I need to press continue button to make it print the rest of the sheets not sure why tho. But it does the job
Start with a blank page.
This is a nice little three in one printer. It was bought to replace an old HP printer/copier/scanner, 3050A which was about fifteen years old and was having trouble with the paper feed. So it is a joy to have a printer that receives documents and prints them in seconds rather than having to assist the paper feed and not knowing if a scanned document has been sent via Wi-Fi to your device. Very pleased to have bought this printer.
Not tried to print photos on it yet, but it prints documents ok. Takes a good amount of time to get it to link up to your computer/laptop though (especially if you have a Windows system older than Windows 10), but it is possible by downloading software from the HP site – just annoyingly time consuming and irritating. There were a good few swear words shouted whilst I was connecting my Windows 7 laptop to it, but I eventually got my head around it and succeeded. It could be made a whole lot easier though I’m sure. This is it’s only downside up to now.
Great, inexpensive printe
My needs for printing are rare so just bought this to fill a very small, occasional need which this does very well. Wi-Fi connection means I can print from my phone and do that remotely so that is an extra plus.
Is this printer compatible with your computer?
Even with help from the HP helpline they were unable to connect this printer with my laptop. Having obtained professional advice it would appear I had to update my windows to windows 10. They never said that on the marketing info, nor did the helpline appear to realise it. It is now working fine but be careful what you wish for.
Straightforward Basic Printe
Easy to use, good wi-fi connection, unlike my old printer.
I did not realise that there is no option to automatically print double-sided. It is a bit of a pain to do it manually if you are doing a large number of prints, but other than that, I have no complaints
Good but cant copy
excellent printer very easy to set up once you have had a play around with is print quality is very good i print off my phone. Dont read the instructions very hard to understand. Apart from those two things such a good printer and is fast speed .
Easy to set, nice quality prints.
There wasn’t to dislike. The printer came well packaged and was easy to setup. You can easily print from your phone with ease. The print quality is excellent and was quick once the printing started. Sometimes it may be a bit slow over the internet when waiting for it to print. Otherwise, everything seems fine.
Good for limited home usage.
This printer does the job adequately. I’m not sure about the top feed paper tray, but am trying to ignore my preference for a flat pull out tray, as I try to get used to it. It was easy to set up and must have been, as I managed to do it myself and I am no technical genious by any means. But so far it has been more than useful, for my very limited printing usage at home. Not for heavy usage I fear.
So simple and easy to set up
I found this printer so very easy to set up using the detailed on screen animated instructions which were very clear and precise in every step of the way. When you have such a good initial experience right from the start then you just know you have bought a quality product which the manufacturers have taken time to consider someone like me with very limited IT skills
Value for money and does the job.
I just needed a cheap printer that does printing, copying and scanning. This fits the bill. I found it easy to set up and being a low user it suits me perfectly.
Functional basic printe
Great price, below 40 pounds, relatively easy set up using the app on my iPhone. Too much pushing of “ink supply” system on monthly subscription plan. Didn’t realise it only prints on one side of the page, which seems antiquated and very wasteful of paper. Am ok wit this compromise, given the price, but it should have been clearly stated in the product description. Amazon did a great job with next day delivery.
So easy to set up even for someone that’s not got any idea about technology, took 5 minutes to set up as everything in package explains how to do it. Works really well when printing documents too, sat downstairs and printer is upstairs so good range and colour too
The printer was super easy to set up (I’m a tech phobe) if I can do it anyone can! The app takes you through it step by step with pictures. I never say things are easy either!
The printers connectivity is good, and it was easy to print with good clear printing. For occasional printing it’s more than sufficient and amazing price! The scanner is easy to work to.
The hardest point was trying to print a document from my phone- but I worked it out in about 2 minutes. So really not complex.
Would definitely recommend
After considerable frustration with numerous printers trying just to print something without six procedures and multiple buttons with signs on them I don’t understand this is a joy. Simple quick quiet looks nice too. Very happy and not feeling stupid anymore. Thank you hp
Bought this printer to replace my other which just decided to stop work. I was surprised at how easy it is to set up and that the instructions are very straight forward and takes you through stage by stage. I had it up and running with in 10min although you do need to download the App. It also gives you the option of subscribe to the ink refill option. Great printer with Scanner well worth the money.
The HP DeskJet 2810e is a good all-in-one printer for basic home use. Setting it up was a relatively simple process and the Wi-Fi connection has been reliable so far. The print quality is pretty decent, especially for text documents and printing sewing patterns. I was also happy with the included 3 months of Instant Ink, which helped me avoid running out of ink right away (it’s also super easy to set up your subscription and once the free months run out the subscription options aren’t too expensive either).
However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The printing speed isn’t the fastest, so it’s not ideal for high-volume printing jobs. This is especially true when printing pictures, even really basic ones and even when you’re printing one image. My mother still has her old dot matrix printer from the mid 1980s and while it doesn’t print in colour the black and white images it produces still print faster than this HP printer doing the same job!
Also the paper tray is a bit on the small side, so you’ll need to refill it more often if you print a lot. I think this holds 60 pages.
Overall, I’d give the HP DeskJet 2810e 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a good value for the (sale) price, and it’s easy to use. Just be aware of the limitations if you need a printer for heavy-duty tasks and pictures. I bought this when it was in a sale and paid under 40 which is about right. I wouldn’t pay full price.
Easy to use and set up
This is fab little printer for the price. I only wanted one for occasional use. Very easy to operate and does exactly what it says on the tin.. only downside DOWNSIDE.. is The inks are expensive!..nearly as much as the printer itself cost for the full set!..but as it’s not something I will have to be purchasing on a regular basis, I took this into account when buying.

Used printers for 40 years – even a dot matrix machine was easier to set up. It could not find my wifi connection. Eventually I had to do it all manually. However, it does print out good quality pages.
My old HP Printer was very slow in connecting to documents but this new one is so quick to print – it’s blown my mind – I always thought it was my network, but it was obviously the printer was just difficult. This new one has arrived and works perfectly for my needs.
Needed to upgrade my old HP printer as I couldn’t get it working kept coming up with error. This printer is nice and works well with my laptop and phone.
