Silk Gloves Liner
Perfect for all activities and sports
These supreme quality black silk glove liners are a warm and comfortable liner that can be worn under your ski gloves, motorcycle gloves, work gloves or just on their own.
Why Silk Gloves?
Over centuries, silk has been valued for its health benefits for the skin. Silk also creates warmth and protection without weight or bulk. It has a natural wicking motion moving hand perspiration away from the hand’s surface.
Just the job
Soft & warm. Can be worn with mittens in cold weather or on their own in autumn or spring. Just don’t get them caught on velcro as that tears the material.
Excellent as an extra laye
I bought these as an extra layer under other gloves on a trip to Iceland, they didn’t disappoint. Lightweight enough to carry around if you don’t need them, but kept the cold out when the temperature dropped.
Great quality
Bought these for my son who is a landscaper and hates the way his work gloves make his hands sweat and smell. He loves them! They’ve also cut down on blisters by stopping friction. So good I’ve bought a second pair.
Gloves fit and feel warm
I’m going to use this product for keeping my hands warmer when cycling and it feels like they’ll do the trick. However, as they’ve only just arrived, I have no idea if they work or not. Why doesn’t Amazon wait a while before asking people to review their purchases!? Especially when it’s a book for example
Warm and thin to go under other gloves
A very useful product for the cold winter months. I bought them to go under fairly thin gloves I wear when using my binoculars to go bird watching. Today I used them under my gardening gloves on a very cold morning and usually my fingers would be very cold. Today they were toasty warm. A good product.
Good fit, warm
I bought these to wear under motorcycle gloves. They certainly work in keeping your hands warmer for a little longer but heated gloves in winter may be a better route to go
Perfect fit and excellent quality.
I love the feel of these gloves and the fit, which is perfect. I have circulation problems and suffer from cold fingers, particularly when I get into bed first. The gloves are perfect to prevent this issue.
Silk Liner for gloves
I bought these to replace the liner in a well loved and worn pair of leather gloves. They fitted my hand well, without any stretching or tearing. Silk is a great natural material that cools and warms, so it’s perfect for lining gloves. These ready made liners are a brilliant innovation, as now I can fit them myself at home and I can wear my favourite gloves again. Great product. Would buy again. Ever thought of doing cashmere ones too? I would buy them. Thanks
Reliability in quality
My last pair of these gloves have lasted me several years before showing signs of wear. They are good quality and can be worn underneath my normal leather gloves for extra warmth. Also useful to wear around the house when very cold. One very good addition would be to have gloves with a touch screen finger tip.
…to wear as liners inside ski gloves. Ski-gloves should keep your hands warm BUT the pair I have is slightly too large, these gloves fill what can be a cold airspace allowing my fingers to remain warm even with damp and frosty weather. Sometimes you only learn from the experience of ownership.
light but warm
I volunteer for a charity and it involves working in a warehouse which is very cold in winter. I put these under a pair of latex gloves with a pair of fingerless gloves on top and my hands are really nice and warm. I ordered the med and they are a little bit big, but I thought that small would be too small. The gloves are very light weight. I have washed them by hand, it only takes a couple of minutes, as I thought the washing machine may not be good for them even though I have a handwash cycle. I am very happy with them.
I bought this item for my son-in-law to wear under his motorbike gloves as he suffers really badly with cold extremities and apparently these gloves help with that. Looked the deal when they arrived nice and soft too but most importantly looked thin enough like you would expect with this product but also looked like they would do the job of covering his hands to put into another glove on the cold day’s etc! Hmm well so much for looks they got a hole! It’s not like he has giants hands or nails like a bear! So that is why the score is low, not because of material but because of durability.
These liner gloves fit nicely under close fitting gloves. However, don’t expect too much from them. They will give your hands extra warmth under outer gloves but they won’t stop your fingers freezing when the temperature drops to two or three degrees centigrade. Being made of silk they are extra smooth. On the plus side this means that they wont stick to the inside of your outer glove when taking them off. On the minus side they can ladder like stockings if you are not careful. I managed to ruin a glove when it became accidently hooked on a strip of Velcro, which pulled the stitching into a hole and then laddered along the glove. Once you put them on your hands, make sure that your immediate next step is to put your outer gloves on with out touching anything else, so as to protect them. As long as you treat them with respect and take care, they will work fine. Just remember what they are made of.
