The problem with European holidays is the early morning flights. I find those half-doughnut sleeping cushions uncomfortable and needed something to support my neck. This Trtl travel pillow is perfect for me and I no longer wake up with neck pain.

This was recommended to me by a frequent flyer, I have purchased for an upcoming 16 hour trip.

On testing the fit and comfort it does the trick Iwill update once I have travelled.

It’s a refreshing change to a horrible travel pillow I have used in past. Used it for a long haul flight and I slept through most of it! High recommend!

Although it doesn’t natter on your size these are especially useful if your tall as you really don’t get much support on airplane seats if your head is taller than the seat
    Comfortable and easy to clea

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersMyself and my partner travelled from the UK to Japan, two flights there – two flights back, so we needed a solution to help us sleep on the plane and especially on one of the layovers. We bought two of these, but I should say not at full price as I think that is too expensive for what it is. We were able to buy them from the Amazon warehouse for around 25 each, which I think is a good price as I couldn’t really find anything else like this.

When using this product in a seat that has a recline, like the airplanes we were in, it would be a 5/5 product on its own. We also used an eye mask and had noise cancelling headphones on. The one draw back is, as we were using over the ear headphones, it can easily be pushed off your ear on the side that has the plastic to support your head – just something to be aware of. Earbuds would likely not have this issue.

We unfortunately found ourselves in the position of trying to get sleep in a space that was just a 90-degree chair/set-up. This of course is not a magic solution for sub-optimal sleeping positions and even though I positioned the support to the front of my head, I felt this was going to give me more than it did.

Overall, due to the high starting price, the issue with over the ear headphones and its drawback that I experienced (maybe too high expectations on my side), it’s a 4/5.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis device fundamentally solves the problem of not being able to sleep upright.

Other travel pillows provide support at the back and sides, which us useless. You already have a chair behind your head, usually with headrest bits on the sides. The problem is that your head falls slightly forward. This either prevents you from falling asleep, or if you are able to fall asleep with your neck in a weird postion, it means you’ll wake up with a very sore neck (and even then it won’t be very long before you wake up).

With the Trtl providing support in the only area where support is needed – i.e. in front – you can just relax. Your jaw kind of rests / leans on it on one side, and that’s it. No movement. Most of the weight of your head is still leaning to the back/side, but with support at the front/side, it stays put. The shape of the Trtl is flexible enough that it doesn’t feel too rigid, i.e. it doesn’t feel like it’s poking into you. It’s comfortable. And you can adjust it anyway – you just pull it around slightly further to the front or slightly further around the side, slightly up or down etc until it’s in the right spot, then that’s it.

I fly long-haul frequently. Also at least once per year I fly UK-Australia return. With all of these long haul flights I’ve never been able to actually fall asleep. I kind of doze but that’s all.

I’ve just done the UK-Australia return trip using the Trtl for the first time. I slept for 4 hours both ways (I was working, watching movies and doing other things the rest of the time, also travelling with small children, so I only had my eyes closed for slightly longer than this – in other words I got almost as much sleep as I possibly could). This is a dramatic difference. The Trtl + an eye mask solved this problem for me.
