This is a really good set of lights that will be so useful for those starting out in photography and videography.

I found these light units to be relatively easy to adjust to height. Their angle can also be set with the little cold shoe attachments. The brightness settings of the lights are adjustable and can be dimmed to provide just the right light on your subject. The filters then provide a load of options for combining coloured tints – having two lights, you can put different colour filters in each and provide some superb light effects. They really are good for the money.

On a minor point though, I did feel the tripods felt slightly unstable at times, even flimsy, but I am sure that if looked after, they will last a very long time

To power up, they will need to be connected to two separate USB sockets. An adapter is not included so you will need to use your own. I find the easiest option is to use charger packs. They often come with two USB sockets and the leads from the light units are long enough to plug them both into the same pack and still distance them around the areas you want to light up.

I like them and do recommend them.

I picked these up to help me improve the lighting in my garage where I shoot YouTube videos. I wasn’t expecting too much based on the asking price and the size of them, but I’ve been really impressed!

First of all, you get two lights in the box with two tripod style stands for each light. The tripods are fairly stable once you put them up and are easily adjustable in height.

The lights need to be plugged in, which is a bit of a shame as I’d love it if there was a rechargable battery in them, but they are USB A, which means you can plug them into either an adaptor or powerbank if you don’t have access to a plug socket… making them possible to use on the go.

Once plugged in, the lights are very easy to adjust. You simply turn them on with the little control box and they you have an ‘up’ or ‘down’ button that allows you to quickly adjust the brightness from 10% to 100%. It’s worth noting that each increment is very noticeable, so you have a lot of options and versatility in terms of your lighting with these.

In addition to the brightness options, you also have the ability to use coloured filters that mean you can change the lighting to red or pink or blue, for example, which is pretty cool if you are into doing product videography/photography as you can get some great effects.

Overall, I’m very happy with these – they are even better than expected.

Finding the right lighting for my home studio was a challenge until I tried these LED lights. Their versatility in adjusting angles and brightness levels truly enhanced my photo and video quality, especially for my YouTube content and game streaming sessions. The 180-degree rotation and height adjustment options were particularly useful for creating different effects. I appreciated the convenience of powering them through a USB connection, which allowed me to use them with various devices. However, I did notice a slight color inconsistency between the two lights, which required some adjustment in post-production. While they’re not the ultimate lighting solution, they certainly meet most of my needs for a variety of projects.

If you are looking for some cheap and simple lights to improve your videos or just add some light to a room, these will do the job well.

You get the 2 lights which are powered via an included USB cable which has a dimmer on the wire allowing you to set the lights to the best brightness. They also come with some stands which are quite cheaply made however they do the job and I think are perfectly acceptable given the price. You also get various colour filters which simply sit in front of the light colouring it which can give a nice effect for ambient lighting.

Overall, they are okay lights for a great price. They are quite cheaply made however I would recommend them for the price.

These are undoubtedly low-cost budget light stands. But they work and are functional beyond any serious complaint.

There are two light-stands in the box, both are identical. They are extremely light-weight in their build quality and my initial impression was not particularly complimentary. But then I considered the price these are being sold for and changed my attitude.

As lightweight as these are, they serve a purpose and are functional dimmable USB LED lights supplied with adjustable stands and an array of color filters. They are shipped with adjustable tilt-ball heads and throw out enough light to do a reasonable job of lighting a close-to-scene or subject.

An alternative use for them might be to light up a shop display or to add some ambiance flair to a corner of a foyer or office. In fact the more I think about these, the more versatile they seem to become in my eyes. But yes they are primarily for use in photography or videography and while they are not high-powered conventional studio quality lights, they do not carry the big price tag either. I appreciate them for what they are actually.

It will be interesting to see how long they last.

I have been using these lights for a stop motion animation project and have been blown away at how good they are!
The consistency of brightness of the light is really good, and they’re small enough to hide in lots of places. They are lightweight, and for my purposes that’s perfect (i can command strip them anywhere) – BUT I think being so lightweight they’re not sturdy enough to rely on in the outdoors.
The gel accessories, are really good and cast light perfectly.

For a cheap LED solution for filming / photography, I couldn’t recommend these high enough!

This does exactly what I wanted it to do.

I needed a pair of tripod stands as my old ones are too big for some of the work I do and they don’t have the all essential screw node at the top – these ones do! See pics.

I’m using the lights plugged in with a USB 3 pin plug. There is an inline on off switch which as light intensity up and down. I’ve tried to capture this in the images but it doesn’t really show in this way, I have no doubts I’ll be able to achieve the lighting I’m looking for with these filters and varying light intensities.

It comes with coloured sheets which are protected with a film. And a card box I’ll keep using for storage.

The ball attachments are very good. They’ve got the bottom plate with the female screw corresponding part, and the ball head which moves freely until tightend up of course. To tighten the base plate youll need an allen key – I dont know what size as I dont have one that fits. Having the screw head and being a compatible part means I can use many of my other existing attachments – this is the problem I had with my old kit.

I like the height of the stand for the kind of jobs I need such as being on the floor or on a table top, and therefore the tripod doesn’t take up half my working floor space!

You will need two USB wall plugs to use this straightaway out of the box.

Highly recommend, especially for beginners like me, 5/5.

My granddaughter is now at the age where social media is a thing that’s part of her life. It mystifies me to be honest, but rather than proscribe it I think it’s more effective to engage with it and help her understand its relationship to the real world. I might find out something for myself along the way too.
She’s always been a little performer and making little videos really brings out her creative side. These are ideal for that as it allows her to be more in control of her environment while filming.
They’re bright and do a good job of illuminating the scene, but unlike spotlights they give off a much more diffuse effect that makes setting up a camera more straightforward. There’s no harsh shadowing effect to deal with, other than in extreme close up at the brighter settings. That means that they do the job you want but you don’t have to be a lighting technician to position them.
The fact that you can adjust them allows for any number of different angles and lighting choices, and being LEDs they don’t get very hot like regular high intensity studio lighting can.
The added colour filters are a great idea and given the various combinations that are possible you could create a lot of interesting effects. My granddaughter uses a smartphone as a camera and we’ve recently been experimenting with the colour filters and how they affect monochromatic photos.
For what you get I think they’re a very good deal and will improve the results of your camera work very quickly, and help you to dip your toe into a deeper part of the medium.

At 35GBP these are not terrible for how much brightness your getting.

The defuser is too thin for close use, okay for wide area use however.

But the soldering quality is okay dispite no conformal coating, lack of internal strain relief.

There is no connector on the intervidual lights which is not very safe for snagging or battery point on the lights but at this price point you can add valcrow and your own batterys.

The stands is ware this shines they are proper lugged.
