I have bought this for a friend but haven’t had time to give it to him yet, I can’t answer the other feedback as I don’t know anything else until I have seen the inside or the kit and will need to know more!
Pricey but good
Purchased as a gift for someone. It is a liti bit pricey compared to a few similar kits but it had the best presentation and along with a terrarium it made a good combo gift.
Somethings are worth paying fo
Probably not the cheapest kindling available, but it burns well and cleanly. Typically only need 6 pieces per fire as I make a little tower with a kiln dried log on top.
Bought for my daughter for her 10th birthday (she loves succulents!) She really enjoyed following the easy instructions with explanations and the information about how terrariums work! Only issue we had was the kit had plenty of everything except the soil, for which there wasn’t close to the amount needed. We’ve left the cacti and succulents sitting on top of the soil layer and covered areas with the reindeer moss.
Overall a lovely experience. I wonder if the company would happily send me some extra soil?
Good KIT
If you’re looking to fill a large terrarium then you’ll need more than one pack but for my bowl which fit the 20cm description it was perfect. The instructions were simple enough to follow and my moss arrived nice and green.
A good little kit to start off with.. I had 3 cacti’s that needed repotting, so I decided to create their own little environment in a decorative bowl I had. The kit provided everything I needed and the instructions were easy to follow. The one thing I would say is I needed more soil ideally, however my bowl is pretty big and it has done the job well.
Great kit! My girlfriend got me it, and I love it! Whatever the reviews may say you get more than enough soil and other items! I got a few plants from my local plant store and added them into a jar that I found at TK Max for around 6. So with all the plants coming to around 7 and the kit and jar, the overall price was just over 30 which is great value! Would recommend this to anyone starting off as this is my first terrarium and I think it turned out really well!

Absolutely love this kit! So easy to use and as it was my first time creating a terrarium the guide was really useful. I will be buying another of these as a gift. Highly recommended
Good quality
A good gift for someone interested in terrariums. Despite not coming with a plant or a container, it has all the other essentials needed to create the desired effect. Especially worthwhile if you already have a glass bowl and need some inspiration on what to put in it!
It’s a very ‘engaged’ product in that it has a really good little helpful booklet. I’d say it’s barely enough for the 20cm fishbowl it mentions, and the ‘moss’ seems to be artificial. Bar that the products are good – just not quite enough of them. Let’s see how my terrarium does
