Fantastic design, beautiful model cello
This was my first model build and I was a bit nervous that it wouldn’t work out or I’d break pieces. I needn’t have worried.
Everything that I needed was in the kit (including the sandpaper and wax). The pieces came out very easily from the boards and needed minimal sanding. The instructions are clear once you get used to them – I also found a step-by-step video on YouTube which massively helped my construction and troubleshooting the couple of mistakes that I made. I am really pleased with the end result and thinking about which kit to get next!

The product looks good, enjoyed assembling it.. It took me 5.5 hrs. Instructions are clear, but there is a room for improvement. Few parts are delicate, so not easy to assemble by pressing hard..
Not sure about the music duration, but it is 4-5 mins before I key again.
I recommend it if you are patient enough to spend minim of 5 hrs on this.
Probably gonna buy one more similar product for my daughter so that she can try…

Regalo para una nia de 12 aos. Hay que ir con mucho cuidado porque hay algunas piezas que son realmente frgiles. Lo bueno es que de stas hay recambios en la lisma caja.
This is not the first music box I have bought from this company, they work and the quality is very good. Easy to make and what is nice is they have extra parts on some of the delicate pieces incase you break them whilst building or removing from the wooden sheet. Lots of fun I have to limited my building time otherwise I would spend an entire weekend doing nothing but just that !!!!!!!

Es ist an verschiedenen Stellen wirklich nicht so einfach und ein paar Kleinstteile sind auch anbei.
Aber wenn man sich die Zeit nimmt, die man halt bentigt –
und die Geduld nicht verliert,
dann hat man am Ende eine schne Sache zusammen.

Und wenn man sie dann noch funktioniert –
dann ist es wirklich das Geld und die Zeit wert gewesen…

Ich dachte, da ein Teil fehlt (durchsichtige Plastikfolie).
Nach einer Meldung hier ber Amazon beim Shop –
und auch bei ROKR direkt –
bekam ich direkt am nchsten Tag eine Antwort mit einem Foto, wo sich das Teil befinden msste.

This is, overall, a fantastic kit and something that I’d happily recommend to anybody who enjoys puzzles and models and building things. The end result looks very cool, the materials used are very sustainable, and it’s a real change from giant Lego sets or jigsaw puzzles.
For the price, I think that you really can’t complain. It requires a lot of attention to construct, and I’d say 3 to 6 hours is a reasonable expectation of how long it will take to built. It can be fiddly, polishing down the edges of the wooden pieces as you go. Even if you test each piece as you fit them together, in our case we got to the end and the moving parts still stick sometimes, rather than running smoothly, but I think that’s to be expected given the complexity and relatively low price. I don’t think it would be fair to say that any errors are caused by the person putting it together – it’s very hard to go backwards once you get to a certain point, so if you’re sanding down each piece and testing as you put it together, then reach a point when the pieces don’t move smoothly, it wouldn’t be practical to take it all apart and start again. But for 40, that’s a risk I’m happy to take.
Realistically, you’re paying for the journey, not the end result. It will look fun on your shelf, but you’re not going to spend a lifetime playing with the musical elements. With that caveat in mind, I recommend it.
Wow! This is a very well executed kit.
Everything you need is in the box right down to a piece of glass paper. Instructions, once you cotton onto the philosophy of what they are taking about are clear. But you do have to read carefully and follow exactly. You even build your own tool which is needed to construct the rest of the project. Take your time.
Everything fitted perfectly, when ‘cleaned’ with the glass paper. Instructions were also given for when it didn’t work! And if it’s didn’t work it’s because you, not the kit have not quite got it right.
I did have a problem and an email to the company has a response within the day, and yes it was my picking up the wrong part, nothing to do with poor instructions etc. So full marks there.
There are a lot of parts, some very small. Patience is needed. No disrespect to younger members, but you might seem need that adult to help. I’m 68.
Price wise at just under 40 at the time of review, is really good. I am already looking at different one to do.
Brought as a present looks interesting
I got this for my dad as a present as he loves puzzles and music so this is the perfect combination. Comes in a nice sturdy box. I haven’t opened it as its sealed, but once it’s been made I will edit my review. Seems a bit expensive but is unique
