Ok so I don’t normally do reviews but this headset is great however there are a few things that annoy me one the headset is not very tight on your head meaning it can fall of quite easily second the ear cushions are far to soft they push all the way in and there is barely any stabity however the headset is ok hopefully lasts awhile

The best ps5 headset I have had so far, however it is not as loud as You would expect. The sound is clear, the muffs are covered with nice and soft material so there is no comfort problems after several hours of wearing them. The ANC does the good job, however if there is really loud outside noise You will still hear it. My team mates said that my voice is much clearer compared to the pulse 3d headset so that’s a good point too. Battery life is excellent, I play about 4 hours a day and have to recharge them once a week so 28 to 30 hours on max loudness and anc on.
The bad thing is there is no native ps5 app to adjust settings for this headset. I paid 179 during black friday and highly recommend them at this price.

Whilst this headset isn’t perfect, I have never owned a more comfortable headset. It is light, it perfectly cushioned and it is a huge improvement over the 3d pulse headset for ps5

I bought these to use with a PS5 and a PSVR2. Setup was super easy. The audio quality is a significant improvement on the ear buds that are supplied with the PSVR2, especially with the 3D effect which is quite convincing. I can where them comfortably for a long time. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is the price. There are other options for cheaper that give the same comfort and audio quality. Still a recommended set of headphones for my usage.

    I bought these for 2 reasons;

    1. I wanted a headset that was comfortable whilst wearing glasses. And these do the trick. So much so that sometimes I just use these to listen to music to at home when I don’t want to disturb anyone else. No faults at all for comfort.

    2. To use discord whilst playing PS5. Now I know PS5 has discord chat, but it’s rubbish. There’s no interface on the PS5 and it disconnects frequently. With these I can connect via Bluetooth to my PS5 and my iPhone, and join the server chat on my iPhone, getting the full functionality of both PS5 and Discord. Works a charm!

Set up was super easy, they look neat, sound quality is very good and they last a fair amount of time on one charge.

The only downside, but this is really a PS5/Sony issue, is the mute button on the controller doesn’t mute the mic. You can easily mute yourself by pointing the mic up though, and the must button doesn’t work for any headset currently so not a game changer, just a little annoying.

Connects easy just put the dongle in and make shore the switch is on PS5 and turn on the headset and PS5 connects right away.
Ok…. No EQ setting on the PS5 home screen and no inzone setting in the ps5 menu. Also no Apple app to adjust the headset (Windows only) at the moment so i hope this being a headset for the PS5 they sort this out quickly as people can update their headsets including my self.

The packing is wonderful and done very well but the cable is very so i got the ugreen usb-c to usb-c 3m data cable and it works perfect so it can go in the usb-c slot on the ps5 and charge while using the gamepad wired at the same time in the normal usb slot at the front. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085G3R8VY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

All in all very happy i just hope they add features on the PS5 to adjust the EQ levels as that would solve the apple app issue. But i also hope for the apple app so i can keep it up to date and sounding great.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSwitched up from an original Astro A50 wireless headset that was beginning to cut out continually and wanted to go for something easy and fully integrated this time that didn’t involve HDMI adaptors and optical cables etc and I have absolutely no regrets so far. The headset is lightweight, comfortable and occludes background noise well even without the ANC turned on. ANC works well if you need it, mic sounds good (but is quite sensitive so move it away from your mouth!). So simple to use, just plug the adaptor in, turn on the headset and you are good to go with all controls fully integrated into the PS5 software. Highly recommend this if you want something simple but good quality.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersUnboxing the headset is a bland experience with little to look at with Sonys eco friendly packaging. Included in the box is the headset, usb-c charging cable and the dongle. Would be nice if there was at least a cloth case as with some other headsets of this price.

The headset on first glance looks pretty bulky in comparison to other brands with its air control style ear cups. The quality feels pretty good, all the hinges are smooth and don’t creak. The buttons, flip to mute mic and ear pads all feel solid and long lasting. The headset feels pretty solid but one things that lets the quality down is the Matt finish which can be easily marked and get dirty not really a problem as it can be wiped down just an observation.

Setting up is super easy just plug the dongle into the device you wish to use it on and set the little slider on the dongle to PS5 or PC. One thing to note on setup is that the INZONE app only works on a windows pc (requirements are listed in description) which means macbook owners won’t be able to customise the eq, side tone and other features of this headset. PlayStation is just plug and play with no access to eq like on the pulse 3D headset which may be changed in a future PlayStation update as it was with the pulse 3D.

The INZONE app is ok and has some good features, you can customise your eq, side tone, mic volume, Bluetooth and a few other things but to be honest it’s a waste of time if you’re planning on using this headset for PS5 only as most of the features of the app don’t save to the headset so any eq etc only work when on PC with the app running in the background. From experience only things that seem to carry over from the app to PS5 are side tone, ambient mode adjustment, Bluetooth adjustments and which modes you want active(noise cancellation, ambient mode) which is a little disappointing.

Sound quality is superb with greats highs and punchy bass, the clarity blows my previous artic 7Ps out the window with explosions and gun fire in call of duty sounding far clearer without that fuzziness on top. Story games such as God of war ragnarok are great especially with noise cancellation on, it truly creates the immersion desired. The sounds like I said before can be customised on PC but is setup already on PS5 and stuck at that eq for now but to be fair it’s very good and directional sound is amazing as it’s fully compatible with the tempest 3D audio in the PS5 so it’s easy to hear where sounds are coming from such as footsteps. My only criticism of the sound on PS5 is sometimes the bass can overpowering in a busy small map on call of duty but isn’t too bad and still impressive but that eq sure would be nice to get it to my preference.

Mic quality is the thing most people criticise this headset on but to be honest it’s perfectly acceptable for in game chat and PlayStation party with no complaints from everyone I play with, some even commented I sound loud and clear but for streamers and anyone planning on using it for a similar purpose you will probably need an external mic for the quality as it isn’t on par with some other headsets at this price point. The biggest let down for me is the side tone(mic monitoring), it does work but I can hardly hear myself when trying to talk to people while game volume is at the level I like unlike my 7Ps which I could hear myself clearly making is easy to talk and make sure I’m not speaking to loud not sure if this will change with a update or not.

Comfort is amazing, the ear cups are nice and big and got plenty of depth for even the biggest dumbo ears like mine. The material of the ear pads is like a leatherette and feels very comfy and soft and doesn’t seem to make my ears too hot even after hours of gaming. Great for use with glasses and doesn’t apply too much pressure anywhere. Despite its bulky looks it’s very light and comfortable wear for long gaming sessions.

Overall very reliable connection with no dropouts on the dongle and Bluetooth. Has a pretty good range but if you have thick stone walls like my house then it understandably struggles. The simultaneous audio is Great been able to take phone calls and watch videos while listening to the game.

To summarise if you buying this for PlayStation 5 it’s great with it’s integrated controls on the PS5 system but lacking the sound customisation and not the best of mic quality or side tone. If buying for PC it’s pretty great but there are a lot of other headsets out there for similar or a little more that would probably be better. I enjoy this headset as its super comfy and mainly use it on PS5. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you get this headset and hopefully they’ll be futures updates to come that’ll fix some of the let’s downs.

On these headphones from Sony are the best game if headphones I’ve owned, and I’ve owned a few! Currently using with PS5 it’s enhanced my gaming in a way I didn’t think was possible. Sound is spot on ease of use is spot on the same goes for comfort and battery life. There is a small downside. The noise cancelling is not on a par with my other Sony headphones but they were another 100 more. But don’t let that put you off there is more than enough cancelling to cut out all but the loudest of external noise. Excellent product and the best ps5 addition there is

No actual instructions, just some diagrams inside the lid (once you connect it, it makes sense) but I usually manage to work out how to get something up & running or put together.

These are great; comfortable weight, encase my ears rather than squash them which small round ones do. (I game for more than 6 hours a day, and the small ones mean I have to give the cartilage regular rest.)
There’s a tad too much bass, but I’ll either get used to it, or see if my TV can let me adjust it. If it’s deliberate to help with the noise cancelling, then fair enough; rather that than hear stuff I’ve bought them to eliminate.

I bought these as my neighbour is noisy and there’s no soundproofing so I can hear everything even with ear plugs jammed in; every cough, every laugh, every word, door slamming, dog barking, hammering up & down the stairs, hair dryer, microwave oven ya de ya… so, clearly I really don’t want to hear any of it and don’t see why I should have my TV on painfully loud for me in order to drown them out; and it doesn’t help much anyway.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersVery good but Mike sounds tiny to my friends. Sound cancellation is off the charts
Sound is great but not better than my Astro A50’s with personalised audio settings I got off Internet,
Real downside is the audio adjust software isn’t available for mac so useless to me, such a bollock drop by Sony as loads of people have macs.
    Battery is great.
Overall I’d probs give them 4 stars. They are Defiantly better than the pulse 3d but not sure that they’re better than astro A50’s although A50’s have a slight bleeping issue which is still unresolved. So hard choice, for me probs A50s
