USB C to USB Adapter, 2 Pack
Flexible Cable Protects Your Fragile USB-C Ports.
Syntech USB c to USB adaptor USB 3.2Gen 10Gbs pack of 2.
I purchased these a I have recent purchase an MacBook Air to replace my MacBook Pro as Apple will stop updating this computer this year. The MacBook Air only accepts USB C adaptors and they need to access the ports side by side and these do a very good job. I’m happy with my purchase.
These are in constant use. They seem well made, durable and work consistently well.
I am pleased with my purchase. It grips the USB cable in a tight fit – which means (when on the move) these can stay on the cable without risk of falling off.
Works with my Samsung S21 ULTRA 5G Phone in its case.
At last a type A to type C convertor that will work with my phone in its case.
I misplaced my original Samsung USB A to USB C convertor and after trying about 5 different brands, this is the only one that works. The convertor is extremely well made and very well designed for both phones or a PC. I would highly recommend this product!
Adapter body is wider than the one from a standard USB-C connecto
These Syntech USB C to USB Adapters (Model M33P) are well packaged and bring an user manual. The package brings two adapters. They are made of an aluminum alloy. They seem good quality. They are very handy to connect cables that still have the USB-A connectors to devices that use the new USB-C standard connectors. These adapters support USB 3.2 Gen 2 (previously known as USB 3.1 and later renamed as USB 3.1 Gen 2), allowing a speed data transfer up to 10 Gbps. They should also be backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices (of course this will reduce the overall transfer speed). Basically, I’m using these adapters to give a second life to some spare USB-A cables that I have at home, making them compatible with my new USB-C devices. One drawback from these adapters is that their body is wider than the standard USB-C connector. This causes that I cannot connect them to my mobile phone and my tablet with their cases on. You shouldn’t find this issue when you use them to connect to other devices like laptops, chargers, hard drives, etc. Everything seems to work well, but it’s a bit frustrating the issue aforementioned.
Very helpful
These are great adaptors. They’re just the right size so you can use 2 next to each other on a MacBook Pro. They’re also a lot smaller than the dongle style ones you can buy. Only issue with this is that all the weight from the cable is put into the usb c port.
Perfect for my needs
Very simply, I picked these up because my car has USB-C ports in the back for the convenience of anyone sitting in the back seat. My boys bring a whole car load of devices on long trips that require everything from Mini-USB to Micro-USB to USB-C and these adapters allow me to use older USB-A cables in the USB-C power outlets.
I can’t vouch for transfer speeds, but as adapters they do what I got them for perfectly.
Quality adapters
These adapters are well presented and really well packaged. They feel like a quality product. The gunmetal gray zinc alloy? shell is well finished.
The orange USB A end denotes USB 3.2 but can also mean USB 3.1 Gen 2 (if adhered to). Either way, that’s an industry standard up to 20Gbps, though these claim only 10Gbps – which is a point of honesty in their favour. The adapters have the proper complement of 9 pins (see pic).
I got these for review because I’ve been chasing a means to test the allegedly high charging output USB-A port (i.e greater than 18W) of a combo USB A/ USB C charger. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get a convincing charging output despite using a good quality Core+ USB A to C charging cable plugged into my Galaxy Note 20. Whilst the Note20 should be good for 25W Superfast charging, the adapter didn’t seem to be able to permit the higher 9V charging voltage that the genuine Samsung EP-TA800 charger could provide.
I’ll admit that this product seems more geared towards high speed Data Transfer than high speed Charging. I’ll retest these when I get a device setup with decent USB 3.x connectivity at both ends.
Pricewise, the adapters are reasonable value.
Handy adapte
Now that most electrical items are moving over to USB C, we still have those odd bits that require the old USB A connection, this little adapter is perfect, instead of having different cables, this tiny adapter just fits in a bag or pocket to convert USB A to USB C, speeds are fast too. Very handy little adapter, worth grabbing and you get 2 in a pack! amazing value.
You can never have enough adapters - these are just righ
With numerous devices to connect to each other and an array of different connector types its useful to have adapters.
These days more and more devices are using USB C connectors but if you still have a number of USB A cables that need connecting to a smartphone for example then an adapter like this is really useful.
These work really well and there’s not much more to say except that they are a little wider than a standard USB C connector on a cable. I found that I couldn’t plug them into my phone with its case on. Not a major problem but something to watch out for.
Probably be alright when used with a laptop with better spacing around the connector.
Convenient, if you have need for i
These are 10Gbps capable adapters which is great but I personally dont have any USB A devices that need 10Gbps.
All myt 10Gbpos and above devies are USBC.
I do have USB A devices though that i often would prefer to plug into the front solitary USBC connector on my small form factor PC case wihtout haveing to faff around the back of the pc in amongst the wifi/bluetooth antennae and rats nest of cables. Which is where this adapter comes in handy.
So I am unable to confirm max throughput of 10Gbs but otherwise everythign works perfectly and quality is good
Small, fast and well priced - buy them
This review is for the Syntech USB C to USB Adapter (2 Pack), 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 Fit Side by Side, USB C Male to USB A 3.2 Female Adapter Compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max/iPad/iMac/MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt 4/3 Devices
7.99 at the time of review.
Nicely packaged, but that means for nothing when rattling about in my bag (without the packaging).
Well formed, they look like quality items and they performed well in my limited testing, getting around 500Mb/s read speeds and not much under that for writing. Mind you, speeds are dependent on your equipment, so I am happy enough with these speeds even though it isn’t the quoted 10gbps.
They are small and slim but are also easy to lose if you carry them about. I would have liked to have seen the USB standard printed on the shells, but it’s not, so I have marked 10gbps in black felt pen so I can tell them apart some time down the line.
A very good price for adapters of this speed so 5 stars from me and highly recommended.
Get-out-of-jail adaptors
With USB-C male to USB-C female these work perfectly to adapt a power supply or USB-C socket in a PC, MacBook or hub to use the older USB-A cables and accessories, like mice or memory sticks.
Very compact design, as long as there’s more than 14mm between the sockets these work for adjacent USB-C sockets.
Have used a similar thing in the past on a laptop dock with insufficient USB-A sockets but spare USB-C ones, they are invaluable!
USB C to USB A adapter, 2 pack
The two Syntech USB C to USB A adapters are tidily packaged, inserted into compressible foam for protection, and with an instruction manual. It was hard to grip the foam to extract the adapters from the box. When in hand, the adapters look smart and feel like high quality devices. However, there were some issues during testing. This may be due to my using Samsung devices not listed on the compatibility list available on the website (though not included in the box).
I had to remove the protective case from my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE phone in order to fully insert the USB C connector. There was no problem inserting the USB C plug into my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 tablet with its case on. Both phone and tablet would charge only when the adapter was inserted into the USB C socket of the charger, and not when inserted into the devices, and both devices did fast charge.
These adapters supported fast charging of my devices even though these are not on the compatibility list. I can continue to fast charge my devices using my old USB A to USB C cables and a new USB C charger.
Does what it needs to do!
Tested on a Dell XPS 13, and Pixel 6.
With a USB stick attached, it was recognised by both laptop and phone.
They do fit side by side very well, I have a USB-C hub with USB-A ports, but it is quite a large device to carry.
I use this with my USB-A gamepad to play on Steam, wireless pads were double the price, as were USB-C, this means I can use my older hardware much more easily. I have superglued one of these to the pad’s USB-A so it cannot be lost, now whether I am playing XBOX cloud on my phone or laptop, I have a secure connection. The other is for all my other peripherals and external storage devices.
The advert may say 10gbps, but it is limited by your hardware, expect 400mb/s max data transfer and 250mb/s write speed on USB storage devices
Great quality, I see these lasting a very long time
Simple & Effective
Not too much to say about these really. They’re well made, with a pleasing weight for something so small. They have brushed aluminium bodies that look and feel good. Packaging was good quality too. Each adapter was nestled in a cut out in a foam block that fitted snugly in the slim cardboard box. No overengineered wasteful packaging here. Connecting the adapters is easy with just enough friction to ensure a snug fit. Performance was as expected. Overall, nice little adapters that do what they do, very well.
Finally managed to get the 10Gbps from my USB C po
Picked up for review as I’ve been let down by other claimed USB C to A hubs and adaptors with claims of 10Gbps to only find the speed is half that.
Testing with my fastest USB drive (Kingston DataTraveler MaX 256GB) I managed to get over 1000MB/s (>8Gbps) where others have maxed out at under 500MB/s)
Happy to recommend this.
One caveat and this may be my front panel USB-C connection and nothing to do with the adaptor but this seems to be USB3.2 2*2 (10Gbps) on one side and USB3.1 (5Gbps) on the other with the achieved speed depending on which way up the adaptor is plugged in.
Your mileage may vary of course.
