Expensive but does the job well
These are expensive, no doubt. You’ll need 2 packs if you’re doing 2 plates. Don’t think 2 1/2 will do, it’d probably do 2 plates but to avoid the hassle I’d buy 2.
Once the area is clean and dry apply and hold, get it straight first time, I used masking tape to ensure I wasn’t off centre. You don’t want to move it once it’s stuck.
Personally I tried to not drive for almost a day to help it bond.
Strong adhesion for car number plates
This is a very strong adhesive sticky tape and you can be confident that the number plates won’t come off. It can easily hold the standard uk number plates. Good value for money.
Tiger Tape® Car number plate sticky pads

*** For best results surfaces must be flat, dry and free of dirt/dust and oil.
*** Use all 5 pre-cut strips for one number plate.
*** Apply Vertically and evenly allowing for even distribution of weight.
*** Remove the green liner and align object to desired placement.
*** The item cannot be corrected after pressing down.
*** Press firmly for 60 seconds as tape conforms to the surface.
*** Maximum adhesion is reached after 24hrs.
(The tape must make contact with the surface. If the surface is uneven the tape will not be able to make contact and will not hold)

What a great idea to keep your number plate in place.
This is a great idea to keep your number plate in place and an alternative to using screws. It can also be used for many other things too, which is handy.
I must admit I was a bit reluctant at first, considering tape doesn’t hold items in place for long.
However this does feel quite heavy duty and when used, the license plate went immediately into place, so make sure you have it in the correct position. As advised you are best using all of the five sticky pads to keep the plate in place. Also make sure you have cleaned the area first, removing dirt etc and wait for it to dry, so you can get the maximum stick effect.
Happy with the overall quality of this.
Unsure on first look but worked really well
There are five pads in the pack, measuring 10cm x 2.5cm. I actually used them to mount a plastic frame (weighing about the same as a number plate) onto a wall, it says use all five for one number plate so I used the whole pack. I wasn’t convinced at first as when I touched the sticky surface it didn’t feel that sticky. However, two weeks later the plastic frame is still on the wall and feels well stuck on. Follow the instructions to leave it to do its thing, press for 60 seconds initially, then I taped the frame onto the wall while it was going through the suggested 24 hours to achieve maximum adhesion. Haven’t given a star rating for removal, as not removing the frame any time soon. Inexpensive, so all in all a good product.
Good adhesion and easy to apply.
These sticky pads are really good. I used them to stick the plastic trim on my cars bumper back down, they have worked really well and the trim has stayed in place. You get 5 double sided sticky pads and its recommended you use all 5 for one number plate. The area you are applying them to must be free of dirt, grease and has also got to be an even surface for good adhesion. Overall I think they are great value and I would highly recommend them.
Pads Are Thin But Give Extremely Strong Adhesio
I’ve used sticky pads before to secure my number plates and they’ve never come off. Screws on the other hand have rusted leaving unsightly staining on the plate and the risk of the screw rotting completely. So I prefer the sticky pad solution.
I used a different brand of sticky pad at the time. Similar to the Tiger but at least twice the thickness. Once stuck on, pushing the plate inwards had it bouncing slightly back at you. Quite reassuring.
Standard UK number plates weigh in at about 500g, approx 1lb. So not a huge weight but you need to trust that whatever product you use will do the job. If it doesn’t that’s the hassle and cost of a new plate and a potential 1000 fine from the police.
The Tiger pads themselves are only about 1mm thick. Not wanting to take off one of my in-place plates (I was testing this as an Amazon Vine member, not as a stress purchase to sort out a live plate problem) I decided to test the adhesive strength of a single pad by using it to stick two plastic-faced, cork-back drinks coasters together and then separate them.
Result? The single Tiger pad adhered very well. I could not easily separate the coasters by hand despite a fair bit of wrangling, so I eventually inserted a lever to prize them apart. The adhesive grip had been so strong that in one or two places the lacquered surface of both coasters had been pulled off on separation.
The one thing to watch out for is any significant unevenness on the surface you are applying the patches to. Thicker pads will score better here, as they have enough reach to fill dints and grooves and still be OK. But otherwise I would fully trust this product to do the job properly.
Finally, a tip. Make very sure your number plate is lined up exactly where it should be before you finally stick it down. You might even want to use a spirit level and bits of tape to get it just right. If it’s skewiff you’ll be very annoyed and it’ll be a costly hassle to put right!
Easy way to install a plate
Great solution if you don’t like conventional bolt method to get your plates fixed. The tape patches are thick and strong and if you leave enough time for it to cure, the plate will not go anywhere. Works better if you have flat surface behind, but can be use in several scenarios
One pack per numberplate
Each of the strips contained is around 9cm by 2cm and its recommended you use all five to secure one numberplate – So you will need to buy two of these if you are changing numberplates. They seem to have a good level of stickiness but its only time that will tell. The instructions are simple enough and the steps marked out on the back of the box.
Whenever I see a numberplate in the road it has normally been stuck on, and fallen off, so while I still think using screws is a better solution if you don’t have a drill or want a quick fix then using a product designed specifically for this purpose is the next best solution.
Very sticky
I gave it five stars for easy to remove. But I am reading this as five stars for not easy to remove. Very sticky and has refixed the rear number plate back onto my Land Rover. Once these are stuck on, they are not easily coming off again.
No drilling required

2.99 at the time of review.
Make sure the area you’re sticking them to is clean, grease free and dry first, then lake sure you align your number plate squarely, before you press it onto your car as you can’t move it once it is on!
They say you need to use 5 strips for one plate, so it costs 6 for 2 number plates — I don’t think that is unreasonable.
They are sticky and seem to be holding well enough, so 4 stars from me (since you need 5 per plate, and there isn’t enough for 2 plates in a pack). I don’t know if 5.98 for 10 pads would put me off, or if having to order 2 packs would. I guess it’s the way you look at things. I am assuming they are waterproof, but only time will tell as the advertising doesn’t say — another reason for 4 stars.
Great solution for number plates
This pack comes with sticky pads to stick number plates onto cars. Perfect if you don’t want to use screws. The pads are very sticky and seem to hold quite securely. I guess they could have other uses as well that require a sticky pad.
Good level of stickiness!
I recently tried Tiger Tape Car Number Plate Sticky Pads for my license plate fixings, and these sticky tabs are really good!
The adhesive is strong, eliminating the need for drilling.
They reg plates have only been on a couple of days but they haven’t shifted in that time, they shouldn’t be moving after that if they haven’t already.
Just make sure the area you’re sticking to is clean and dry first!
Installation was also easy, making it a convenient solution for anyone looking for a reliable and no fuss option.
Only downside for me is that you only get 5 sticky tabs for your money.
Number Plate Fixing Strips
The packet has a contents of 5 sticky rectangular pads. It recommends that all 5 strips be used to attached the number plate.
Make sure both surfaces are clean and grease free prior to applying. They do feel pretty sticky and should do the job as a temporary measure until the number plate can be permanently fixed in place.
A reasonable product – 4 Stars.
Great for my new personalised plate
I have just bought a new personalised plate and cant unscrew my old plate so have shaved the head for previous screws and have used these double-sided stickers. Just a caution to not shave the screw heads too much as otherwise it can risk you losing both plates.
on my last car, they were actually deeper but this one they are raised so had this issue.
Obviously, if you can get the screws off best to completely get rid of the old plate and use these stickers or double-sided tape.
They look pretty strong and holding the new plate nicely.
Double sided sticky pads
Designed for holding the number plate these are double sided sticky pads.
There is only enough in pack to do 1 number plate but they do work well as long as you follow instructions carefully and ensure both areas are clean before application otherwise they don’t adhere fully.
