However, there is a hidden 3 AAA batteries compartment to power the LED string.

Wow this is really beautiful! The lights are an amazing addition and so well placed. There dress looks more expensive than it is and my daughter has decided she is a real life princess when wearing it. Would recommend!
This is a lovely dress for any child that loves dressing up! The quality of the fabric seems good and the stitching is all strong and durable. It has lots of layers in the skirt, so it feels and looks like a ballgown.
The illumination is an extra bonus. It looks lovely when it’s turned on. The battery pack sits near the waist and can’t be seen because of all the fabric layers. You do need to supply your own batteries 3AAA. It says that due to the waterproof construction it can be hand washed. I’ve not tried this yet though.
This is definitely a dress that will make any child feel like a princess.
My daughter (aged 8) is a typical girly girl who adores all things princess-y and dress up. This dress she absolutely adores and it is super beautiful!
I’d recommend sizing up in the dress if possible, as my daughter whilst tall for her age benefitted from me ordering the larger size and we probably could have chosen larger still if that were an option. It just looks better if you have the longer length.
The dress does indeed light up well and looks especially pretty in darker lighting.
The lights work via battery power, which you’ll require 3 AAA batteries for the compartment in order to work.
The material is lightweight and flowing, I’d liken it to taffeta type material. It’s quite akin to a lot of prom dresses actually.
The blue colour with gold detailing is eye catching and reminiscent of many of the children’s favourite princesses dresses, so it’s sure to be a hit.

Totally amazing dress. It is beautiful. For a 9 year old took size 9-10 and it is perfect size. Dress sewn nicely, seems nice and straight. Only a couple hanging threads at the very bottom of the dress and they are invisible when dress is worn. Plus you can just cut it off and it will not affect dress in any way. In order to operate the lights you will require 3 xAAA batteries. There is on and off switch on batteries compartment. Small bag attached specially to keep batteries box in place. Really beautiful dress and for the current price of 23.99 it is a bargain worth every penny.
