Bought this for my mobility scooter. It requires an activated phone SIM to receive the GPS signal.but only uses your credit when the scooter is moving.other wise it seems to stay on standby I think without using credit or very little. I’m still testing it but up to now it’s been excellent. Battery seems to be quite good to. only used approx 30 percent in about 6 weeks. Should give out a battery warning at 20 percent.then it’s time to recharge.accurate GPS up to approx10-15 metres.very pleased with this product.

I’m still testing the device but so far ir seems to work really well. I’ll know more when I take it to Spain later this year, but definitely good value for money.

I rely on multiple GPS trackers to keep a safety eye on outdoor education groups during expeditions. The Winnes TK913 has truly impressed me. Despite its small size, it performs just as well as the much larger trackers I own. It offers the same level of security in a compact package. I use the app that allows me to keep an eye on all my devices and easily move between each one very quickly. It’s super user-friendly and lets me track from anywhere in the world. What’s also great is no monthly fees like other trackers I had looked at. I just need a SIM card and I can then track my stuff and groups without worrying about shelling out extra cash every month. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the free app. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but even I managed to get it up and running in no time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!

Bought this product a week ago and I was having difficulty in setting up. Before I could reach out for assistance, the seller had already emailed me to ask about my experience with the product. The seller gave me a WhatsApp number and guided me through the set up process and also followed up continuously to ensure I was happy with the product.
Good customer service and product is also good. It serves its purpose.

Only bought this tracker a week or so ago but has some useful features. I use it for monitoring my caravan whilst it is in storage. Its hooked up to a small UPS to provide extra battery life so don’t have to recharge it every so many days. Jury out on this one, as yet.

    The good: –
Gives accurate GPS results and tracking feature works well
Has several states to provide more active or less active GPS to protect battery life
    Setup relatively simple
    Has movement (vibration) alert
Support reasonably responsive and do help but this can be a bit of a long-drawn out process due to time zones.
App can communicate to device but changing settings does not always work because device is offline. However, it can be woken up by SMS message, e.g. status G123456#, and then it comes online. App should be able to wake it up though.

    The bad: –
Small instruction manual in English and Chinese but so small difficult to read and understand modes.
Example commands not properly explained, like ‘Sleep time’ but no examples or proper explanation.
App for Android and iPhone quite good but NO documentation at all. This leaves you to guess how to use it based on the SMS commands.
The Geofence capability is great but with no documentation, it is guesswork and trial and error or place support call.

Overall the tracker seems like a useful bit of kit but you have to work at it to get the full benefit, and as I said earlier, only just started using it so not sure how well it works in practice yet, but hopeful it will do what it says on the tin!!

Having used extensively a portable unit in extreme conditions (-30C) on Arctic roads / highways for work vehicles tracking and parking security AND the outstanding immediate customer service is was an easy choice to purchase another unit.
To increase the options available to me I used the wired option for a classic and ‘at risk’ / high value vehicle.
The package was quickly shipped and tracked and arrived in perfect working order.
SIM was easily fitted, although knowledge/confidence of a 12v DC car electrical system IS needed. The android app is simple and integrated to the unit without trouble.
The extra features of the wired system, when used, allow 24/7 monitoring of my vehicle, starting, removal, vibration and geofences alarm notification but also the ability to remotely ‘turn off’ the vehicle.
There are no expensive subscriptions or so called ‘remote’ monitoring service but with a klaxton custom sound added to the app as notification, I know in a literal second something is going on with my vehicle that it shouldn’t be …. day or night.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI originally bought one of these 4 years ago as a tracker for my motorcycle. It provides a subscription free option for keeping track of your vehicle. The battery life is very good – lasts about a month or two depending on use. The unit itself is palm sized and fairly easy to hide within your vehicle, I wouldnt however rely on the magnet if you at attaching it underneath your vehicle, I use strong velcro to keep mine in place.

I bought a giffgaff sim for the tracker and stuck a tenner on it 4 years ago – I’ve yet to need to top it up. It provides reliable tracking and has other great features such as geofencing and vibration alarm. You can track it via the tkstar website or the very useful app which is free to download.

The setup procedure isnt particularly easy- but most of the trackers I have purchased have come with decent instructions. I ended up writing a blog post with a guide on how to set these up, to make things easier for my friends who had bought them. http://hardtailchop.com/tkstar-gps-tracker

4 years later I now own 5 of these trackers! 3 for motorcycles, one for the car and another model (which looks like a rear light) for my bicycle. The customer support is particularly good and they have been able to add all of my trackers to the same app so I can track them easily.

I’ve recommended this tracker to many of my biker friends as a more cost effective option to the subscription based models – and they are also very happy with the product.

Will definitely buy more of these if I require them.
