It’s an official xbox controller which means it works fine. But I moved from a ps5 controller system and all the xbox controllers feel cheap and tacky in comparison. Nothing wrong with any of them but the ps5 controller is so much better and the same price…
The headphone is really wonderful, with a strong battery life that lasts for two weeks of continuous use. Bought this for our son. We have bought the cheaper versions before and they just aren’t the same. These are better quality and more responsive than the cheaper ones we have bought before. Holds the charge well and the buttons etc feel much better too.
We bought the white as that’s what he wanted (he was paying) it was more expensive than the other colours but he saved for it and has always wanted a white one.
Yes they are more expensive than the others but worth it, to be honest there are often deals to be had if you don’t mind what colour you have.
It came with two AA Duracell batteries and it’s a big step above the 1708 controller with a more ergonomic design in every way from the convex in the thumb sticks to the shallower triggers to the shape and size of the controller itself.
It fits the hand better than previous models and the textured grip on the back of the handles makes it really satisfying to hold too.
For anyone that it may concern, this controller also eliminates some problems previous models had such as the way that the bumpers would eventually stop communicating with the switches behind them despite the switches themselves being fine which led a lot of people to replace the bumper assembly or bodge it with tape.
It’s also completely customisable. You can replace everything on the controller with something custom to the point where you could argue it’s not even the same controller that you bought anymore. Every button, both thumb sticks, the triggers and the faceplate can all be replaced with custom aftermarket variants that are available online.
Overall this is a sturdy, durable controller made from quality materials at a fair price and it’s a pleasure to use.
